Oh, and one more thing: Can I just point out that the "I dun fucked up, I guess I'ma wait outside your room all night until you'll let me grovel and atone for my misdeeds" is not, and has never been, a platonic trope?

(I mean, we all know who wrote this episode and how she felt about these two as a couple, but it bears mentioning that even administering a heavy dose of Death of the Author here doesn't absolve this scene from being way more shippy than it deserves to be.)

Something that I think ppl who ship both sukka and zutara don't acknowledge enough is the fact that poor Hakoda met both his kids' future spouses on the same day, in the same place and that place just happened to be prison.

It’s Katara being the only character in the series who completely subdues Azula. It’s Azula, who burns hot, who becomes exhausted with heavy breaths, who begins screaming with flames coming out of her mouth. And it’s Katara, who watches with a heavy expression and Zuko at her side.

Like, hear me out, when Aang and Katara are, like, in their 30s, 3 kids deep, and they're just hanging out, and Katara admits she had a fleeting crush on Zuko during their travels and Aang gasps, scandalised, we think he's mad, but then he says, "I had a crush on Zuko during those travels!"

Ten times funnier of they tell Zuko and he just goes "Ew." But he's super blushing

I want to know why Kataang shippers think that because I ship Zutara that I am diminishing the importance of Aang’s friendship with Zuko? I don’t want to because I think that they have a great relationship as a mentor and student as well as friends. Aang is probably the first person to see the potential good in Zuko which I appreciate as someone who loves Zuko and it shows that Aang is a good person because he wishes that him and Zuko could just be friends even though Zuko was chasing him around at that point. I don’t think pairing Zuko up with Katara would make that friendship less important.
