katara has been the gaang's designated Caretaker™ for 3 seasons. and now all of a sudden this jerk shows up and he washes the dishes without being asked?? she's relieved but also Suspicious because /obviously/ he has an ulterior motive, right?

(basically... in that nebulous period of time between "The Western Air Temple" and "The Southern Raiders" katara really, Really wants to hate zuko, but it's becoming increasingly difficult.)

For Zutara week 2021: Day 3, Glowing!

At some point in the night, they drifted towards each other, comfortable in warm arms with the dew settling around them. Zuko only woke once, to see Katara glowing, effervescent in the silver moon. Smiling to himself, he fell back to sleep. The first streak of amber breeched the sky and lay a mantle of golden light around them; Agni blessed their rising with the warmest of rays. I’m obsessed with these two and this is my version of the events outside the wall near Ba Sing Se, lol!
