"Do you think that Dracula was gay?" Tyler asked, walking his fingers up Zoey's arm.

Wrinkling her nose, she said, "What?"

They were sitting against the wall of the dining room, hiding from Riley's party. They'd been passing a stolen bottle of wine back and forth for however long, and were probably a little past tipsy.

His touch was distracting, and she shook his hand off. "Think about it. He loved inviting men to live in his big ass castle."

She scoffed. "To drink their blood."

"You say that like drinking blood isn't inherently horny," he said, rolling his eyes. His hand returned to her arm, wrapping around her wrist, tracing the bone with his thumb

"There's something wrong with you," she replied, making him laugh.

"There's something wrong with you," he countered, sending her a smile. He took another swig from the bottle, passing it over. His lips were stained purplered, and she was sure hers looked the same. She couldn't be bothered to care as she brought the top of the bottle to her mouth.

The wine wasn't the best, too acidic for her tastes, but it wasn't awful. And she loved the way being winedrunk made her feel. All floaty and flirty.

She pulled the bottle from her lips, a drop slipping down the corner of her mouth.

"Oh," Tyler said. Eyebrows furrowed in concentration, he pressed his palm to her cheek, wiping the drop away. His touch was as gentle as it always was, but it sent sparks up her spine all the same.

The world came to a halt as he looked down at her, big, brown eyes focused on her and her mouth.

She began to lean up, trying to get closer. She wondered if the wine would taste different on his lips.

Her eyes fluttered closed as she felt his breath hit her cheeks. The tip of his nose bumped into her cheek, and she sucked in a breath, anticipation taking over her.

The kiss never came.

He jerked back, removing his hand. Her eyes flew open.

"I– I heard my moms calling me," he said. His face was pink and there was something like disappointment shining in his eyes. "I should go see what they want."

She frowned as he got to his feet. "I didn't hear them," she muttered, watching him flee. "Ty, come back!"

A long moment passed of her waiting for him to return, but he never did, and then it was just her and the bottle of wine.

You recently claimed "there are no stupid questions," so I'd like to know what nail polish/manicure you'd choose for Crowley, Aziraphale, and whoever else from the cast tickles your fancy. :) And does the choice vary if they walk into your salon and tell you it's for a ~date~? :D

Aziraphale canonically gets his nails done regularly, but I think he'd normally go in for a simple manicure without polish, maybe just a clear coat. He enjoys the experience and the practice of keeping his corporation neat and tidy, but doesn't feel the need for alteration.

That said, if he walks into my hypothetical salon and mentions he's going for a date, I think I could nudge him into something with a subtle bit of sparkle.

I doubt he'd actually go for Aria, but I'd suggest it to get a laugh and make the others seem reasonable. And hey, maybe someday!

He'd pick one of the subtle ones and giggle over being daring. And of course, Crowley would actually notice and be impressed by the change.

Crowley I see as a matte black creme for most days, but he's a multichrome guy when he's feeling fancy. Maaaybe some understated shimmer. I don't really feel sparkles for him, but threw a couple in to tempt him with.

He's briefly intrigued by Diablo, until he notices the name and gets annoyed at falling into a cliche. Maybe if there was something as dark as Annabelle but more red, he's got an aesthetic to maintain, after all.

If we want a touch of angst, for things they'd avoid: I think Aziraphale would have complicated feelings about applying earthly golds to his corporation in such a way. And Crowley would find magnetics that imitate space charming, but find them too lacking to enjoy wearing them himself. Which is a shame, because he could miracle them perfect without having to wait for the dang magnet.

Maggie I see as a person who enjoys the self-care ritual of painting her own nails. She would mostly do solid cremes or jellies, but once in a while she'd enjoy an afternoon playing around with stamping and other cutesy nail art.

(The entire Tea Crèmes collection is so her aesthetic. Stamps from Maniology, those photos are me and I can't currently remember all the colors, but the orange is Zyler The Cat.)

However, in the special occasion that she's going to a shop, I can see her branching out like Aziraphale and having fun with a jelly flakie or a shimmer.

This takes place shortly after Gordie publicly came out as bisexual and polyamorous, during a battle with Raihan (with Raihan’s permission, of course.)

His boyfriends are all extremely proud of him.

Coming out actually helped Gordie and Melony begin to repair their relationship, Melony apologizing for driving him away and not listening to him. She promises to be a better mother, learning to accept him for who he is, rather than who she wanted him to be.

Of course, like with most queer celebrities in our world, Gordie unfortunately lost some supporters, but if that was all it took for them to change their minds about him, he’s better off without them.

Unfortunately, there was one fan girl who took things too far, even going as far as to physically attack Piers for “turning Gordie gay” since the two of them were already dating prior to meeting Owen and Zyler.

Piers thankfully wasn’t phased by her punching him in the face, and had his Obstagoon restrain the girl while Owen and Zyler called the police.

She got arrested for harassment and assault, and the four of them got a restraining order against her for their own safety once she gets released.

I can't lie I'm kinda feeling like a mix of "really never doing anything for that international shipping", "a bunch of meh recent collections" and especially "retiring two of my favourite ever nailpolishes" has kinda killed my hype for Holo Taco.

I've been a fan since Cristine started the brand and, though it makes sense because they're a company, there's something about removing bright, special colours in favour of neutrals that doesn't work with their original story. I honestly have a theory that due to the popularity of Holo Taco in the US, where it's not an expensive brand thanks to the lowcost shipping, the bulk of the customers will buy a lot of "basics" from HT, while long-time fans from Europe or other countries can only justify to buy sometimes and they'll focus on the really special looking products that they can't buy from a company with less expensive shipping.

Lately, I've been grimacing about their marketing campaigns. They're in that awkward middle where a lot of communication comes from Cristine (people who watch her streams are informed first over people who follow the brand exclusively) all the while straying from the original "intense to the point of being weird holo" branding she was popular for. Site info and contests are announced by TikTok style videos of 35 years old Cristine doing an awkward little dance and pointing at the screen. That makes me grimace and scroll past. I don't relate because I'm an adult who's not on TikTok (as are a lot of well adjusted adults who are likely to have watched Cristine on YouTube back then) and kids probably don't relate either because she's obviously in her 30s.

(Although I'm surprised to find out she's only 35. She's branded herself as an old lady for years... 35 is really not that old for being an online creator these days.)

Anyway, I know my tumblr followers don't really care........ But I'm bummed to have fallen out of love in so many ways with Cristine and her brand, which initially sold us the dream of specialised nailpolish that people who had tastes just like Cristine shared on her YouTube channel - which I had - would enjoy. Now we get to see Frost Light removed in favour of a newer, greyer blue, greens removed because they don't sell as much (obviously, they're greens - Holo Taco focuses on overall sales over having a diversified catalogue apparently) (not to mention that, as much as I'm personally happy about it because it's actually my very favourite nailpolish, Cristine led an entire campaign to "save" Zyler the Cat, which is an unfair bias compared to nailpolishes that were just plain retired) and greige collections that try to advertise themselves like we're all TikTok teens.

"Ty! Do you have my hoodie?" Zoey shouted up the steps as she walked into the Meadows' house.

Norah walked into the entryway with a coffee mug in hand, followed by Kayla and Blair.

"Zoey, angel, it's nine in the morning," Kayla said, sending her a tired smile, "Why are you in here yelling like you have no sense?"

Zoey's face tinged pink with embarrassment. "Sorry, sorry," she said, sending her own smile. "Em and I are about to go on a hike and it might rain and I can't find my hoodie, so I came to see if Ty had it."

Blair made a disgusted noise. "Who hikes at nine in the morning? Actually, no, who hikes?"

"People who can go in the sun," Zoey replied, earning a sarcastic smile in response.

Norah took a sip from her coffee. "Why would Tyler have your hoodie, pup?"

"Because they're actually my hoodies because she's a little thief," Tyler said, walking down the steps. He had obviously just woken up, hair tossled from sleep, curls sticking up at odd angles. He had the hoodie in hand, her favorite maroon one with the thumb holes. But that wasn't what caught Zoey's eye.

He was shirtless.

It wasn't like she'd never seen him shirtless before. They grew up together, with summers and beach days and sleepovers. She was well acquainted with him being shirtless. But he'd never looked like that before.

He'd obviously been working out at school, and his abdomen was seeing the beginning of definition. His arms were muscular, toned biceps moving as he gestured at her. He looked like a boy, and but just any boy but a cute boy. A hot one even.

Blair's voice in the back of her brain was teasing, like she knew something Zoey didn't.

Shut up. No it isn't.

It was a stupid response because she knew Blair – and Norah and Kayla, dear God – could hear the way her heart was going insane.

"When will you be back?" Tyler asked, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he held out the hoodie to her. His voice was rough from disuse and deeper than usual. Zoey's face went hot. "We were gonna go to the beach later."

"Um, I don't know," she said, nervous to disappoint him even more than usual for some godforsaken reason. "I'll text you when we get back."

He nodded, sending her an easy, halfawake smile. "Mmkay. Hope you have fun on your hike."

Snorting, Blair said, "She'll have sooo much fun getting all hot and sweaty, surrounded by bugs."

"Ew," Tyler said wrinkling his nose.

It shocked Zoey back to reality, and he was Tyler again, her loser best friend who made ridiculous faces.

"I'm sure the bugs think you're just as gross," she said, rolling her eyes. He scoffed. "I'm gonna go before Em thinks you guys kidnapped me."

"She should be so lucky," Blair said, making Kayla snort.

Zoey said her goodbyes, keeping her eyes away from Tyler and his torso before walking back outside to Emily's car.

As she opened the passenger door, Emily asked, "Are you good? I could hear your heart pounding from here."
