Nash was an iPad kid in every sense of the word. Her mother could not bother to care beyond sending monthly checks to the manor (more like luxurious jail) where the caretakers pocketed half the sum and the rest went to pamper her.
She could't be mad, there were plenty people out in the real world who'd kill for that kind of money. She spent her days tinkering on school projects, binge-watching historical k-dramas and being a general menace to the working staff.
Now imagine her surprise when she went to bed at three in the morning after haphazardly throwing together an art project featuring 'Kakashi the grey hare' and woke up on cold hard marble, instead of her fluffy mattress.
"What the heck?" She shuffled to a sitting stance, rubbing her sore neck.
The brushing of black skirts and the scruff of boots tethered her attention to the floor.
There were maids, a few dozens of them. Nash had her own nannies, sure, but nobody in the twenty-first century wore these silks unless as costumes, that too the very short version and for funzies on Tiktok or the bedroom.
"Woah-", a grin danced on her face. "Is this some sort of cult? Before the intro, I'll make this clear, I don't wanna be a part of this scooby-doo squad. Now, where am I?"
Silence, silence. Silence everywhere. Then, a fine looking specimen of testosterone-producer stepped up from the crowd, gripping a sword-A SWORD?!-in his hand.
"What business do you have with Agriche? How did you manage to get past the barrier guards? Start talking before I make sure you never will."
Well, zamn, who hurt you?
"Yeah, I was hoping you'd the know the answer to that?" She was thoroughly confused. "And since you don't, we can all just forget this ever happened and go our own seperate ways, okay? Okay, bye!"
A brilliant beyond brilliant idea popped up in her head. Taking out her phone, she tried searching for a signal. Hey, her mother may not pick up but she will dispatch atleast one guard to check on her.
"What is that?" The emo grandpa snapped his fingers. The phone was snatched away in an instant.
Nash reached for the object, only to be shoved away. "Hey, that's mine! Give it back!"
"Master, it seems to be some unknown technology, far beyond research-work mentioned in the archives", the woman replied and handed it over to the man in the lavish tux with a. . .bow?
What the frick is happening?!
The man chuckled and Nash felt a chill go down her spine. "A spy? Tell me, which lowlife has started copying my tactics, hm? Though, it is for the greater good, I suppose. The kids outside of this territory are pathetic, they pose no worthy challenge for my soldiers."
Which grown ass man sends people to fight kids?!
With furrowed brows, legs and arms crisscrossed, Nash drew a long breath. "Look dude, I don't know who you are or where I am but I don't mean to cause any trouble. . .yet. But if you don't return my phone, we're gonna have a problem here."
He quirked a brow and a tide of murmurs erupted from the audience. With a subtle clang his weapon was unseathed, the sharp blade pointed straight towards her neck.
Holy mother the of sweet Je-
"Are you aware that I can kill you without so much as moving an inch?"
Her breath hitched and she felt the hiccups coming. "So could a - hic - a chicken with enough motivation. You're not special-"
"Father, you called?"
A whispery voice carried by the wind stopped the man dead in his tracks from possibly ripping Nash a new one.
"Roxana", he rasped, clicking his tongue. "I don't appreciate tardiness. In any case, I'd like you to familiarize yourself with the latest brand of spies that are sent after us. Do they think of us as idiots!”
With that attitude, you’d make a fine Karen, sir. Wait. . .did he just say ’Roxana’?
Nash swiveled on her heel faster than light, coming face to face with said exotic beauty, shimmering rubies for eyes, adorned in a fashionable gown that almost made up for it’s weight.
"Y-You're Roxana Agriche?!"
At her starstruck exclaimation, the lady pursed her lips and only nodded curtly in acknowledgement.
Suddenly, Nash was clutching her head. She felt dizzy, she was definitely going to hurl.
Bye-bye fancy carpet, so long. . .
"Forking fudgecake!" The first row of maids probably jumped at the sheer decibel of her shout. "Did I get hit by truck-kun? No, that's not possible. How will a truck get in my house?! Murder, then? Not unlikely. . .although who would assassinate sweet ol’ me? Let’s see. . .”
"As you witness”, the newly recognized Lante Agriche waved the sword dangerously close to her face. Nash skiddadled to Roxana’s side. "This one doesn't know how to behave.”
Nash tilted her head to gander at the second heir’s face. She was lost in thought, her face overcome with a forlorn expression.
Roxana stroked her chin and then nodded. "You wish for me to oversee the interrogation?”
Lante grinned like a madman, thankfully storing away the blade. "As expected, you are a natural.” Nash had to do a double take to make sure his face fell in the matter of milliseconds. "Do not disappoint me.”
A sharp pain appeared in her scalp when her obnoxiously long pink hair was grasped and she was pushed back against the wall.
Yup, no wonder all the female leads hate this.
Lante did his best impression of a ravenous beast from the Black Forest, snarling and sneering. ”I will figure out where your loyalties lie and set an example through you. Am I understood?"
As astonishing as it is to be held like this by a 2D character, it ducking hurts, biAtch!
"Y-yes, sir!" As if-
He released her but it felt the same, as if her head was on fire. "Take her away.”
Roxana did not spare a moment to escort Nash to her room. They arrived in two minutes max and the blonde dismissed her tendants for the evening.
With a cotton swab and a bottle of suspiciously glowy liquid, she started dabbling the scratch that had formed on Nash's face, right under her eye from being thrown against the stone column.
She was quiet for most of the time while Nash observed Roxana's face. The teen truly was a looker, one worthy of people stopping in their tracks to stare at.
Light hair framed her face like a halo while piercing red eyes that tore through one's soul akin to the devil himself.
"Earlier, you mentioned a truck, yes?"
Nash blinked dumbly. "Uh-huh."
Roxana looked her directly in the eye. "Are your perhaps from. . .This is going to sound ridiculous but are you from Earth? Like, the actual modern world?"
The pinkette chewed on her botton lip. "Er. . .maybe?"
Roxana dropped her head and if Nash wasn't mistaken, she sighed out of relief. "How did you end up here?"
The younger girl threw her hands up. It felt weird talking to a fictional character who went into a fictional-fictional world.
Wait, that makes no sense.
"I don't know, lady! One minute I'm falling asleep reading manhwa on my computer and the next thing I know kaboom Lante-the-asshole Agriche is in front of me!"
"What's a manwha? Did you not read the novel-", Roxana paused mid-way, narrowing her gaze. "You are much too young to read those kinds of books."
Nash coughed awkwardly. "Well, I didn't exactly read it. It doesn't even exist in my world."
"Meaning? And you say your world as if we're from seperate ones."
Nash clapped her hands, slouching against the cushions on Roxana's bed. "Bingo." The girl stared at her, perplexed. "You know about the miltiverse theory, right? Y'know, spider-man and stuff like that?"
The blonde nodded.
"If I were to guess, we are both from two different realities. It's like a layer formation. The 'Flower of Hell' takes place in one, then you enter from another and change the course of the world and then I enter from a different reality like a cherry on top."
Roxana remained still, the subtle widening of her eyes being evidence of understanding. "I see. In any case, we need a place to fit you in. As far as I've looked, there is no escape. Other than death, but that is uncharted territory."
Nash made a face. You speak of death like it's the next door neighbor. Then she remembered. But for her, it probably isn't the worst thing to happen.
She cleared her throat, shrugging as nonchalantly as possible. "Any chance I can take a shower? I kinda sorta really stink."
The ghost of a smile passed over Roxana's face. "I will ask for a bath to be prepared." Her gaze traveled down, "And a tailor to take your measurements. Can't have my charge looking so haggard."
Nash looked down, her face burning red. She was still in her Hello Kitty jammies. "Hey!"
Roxana stood up, packing away the medical kit. "I will be back later. Your dinner will be sent here; eat after freshening up. And try to keep a low profile. The less people are aware of your existence, the better. Fa - Lante will likely dish out my orders for you at dinner."
She made to leave but turned around again.
"What?"
"I did not catch your name."
"Nash", the pinkette replied with a too-shrill voice, trying to rub the exhaustion out of her eyes.
Roxana was amused. "Full name?"
"Ugh. . .Nashira Parker, at your service, m'Lady."
As soon as the door clicked shut, Nash threw herself on the heavenly bed, feeling her body sink into the spread of softness.
'What a day. Welp- this is my life now, I guess.'

Like if someone showed a damn source on viv that'd be cool. But fine, take your word for it by what I managed to see.
Alot of the criticisms of the show are just bad though. Entire armchair philosophy shit by people who don't know how to write a unique story, jist a story that gets the teacher to give an A.
Saw someone show an animatic that got edited and they were pissed because a character, who had no lines or ANY purpose to the scene, was cut. And like, I'm looking at it, I see why it was removed, and yet somehow, this was "character favoritism" and buddy calm your tit. It did not need to be in the scene for that moment, it would have been visually distracting, and more so, again, it doesn't matter. At fucking all. Christ. Not every decision needs flamed, not every decision HAS to be your own, not every decision is evil or short-sighted. They have a story, they have a vision, they have QA that you should Neeeeeever be apart of for anything, I think just looking at it and seeing the obvious "why" should've been enough, but apparently not?
Every. Single. Time. It's a "social" problem too. Like guys, you're 30 layers deep and haven't reached irony yet, not one fucking soul is listening to Helluva Boss for morality you buncha fucking specimen. Character's flaws and actions don't represent the creators (Seriously ya'll Do Not seperate Artist from Art and it's embarrassing)
Actually none of you are good at critique or writing. Like. Not a one. The rigidity of following every possible rule you learned in school doesn't have to translate to every possible piece of creative work. Not everything needs to follow a shitty formula you saw from another show. There's hardly rules to any of this shit, we just create to create. Calm the fuck down. Seriously.
Let shit just be man. It's as non-harmful as it gets. The fact there's such a hateboner makes literally all viv critique sound just as dumb. Like, as I'm reading I'm going "O-ho-ho kay but you have 2 entire shows, at minimum, that prove they aren't homophobic or transphobic or whatever nonsense today"
All around, feels like 15yo energy in here and I am not remotely interested in wasting my time further. A very, very, pathetic and brisk runthrough a playground I thought would be a bar.

The rattling of keys in the door distracted Ethan from his studies. Even more distracting was the mischievous grin on Tobias’s face as he entered. It was at least twice the size it normally was, and Ethan knew that could only mean trouble.
“Whatever it is, I’m not interested,” Ethan muttered before returning his focus to his books.
“Ramsey!” He simpered. “Ramsey, Ramsey, Ramsey! Not only are you going to be interested, you are going to be thanking me.”
He pulled four tickets out from his coat pocket, fanning them dramatically before tossing them at Ethan.
“Clear your calendar Saturday, and decide what fine specimen you’re gonna bring along because it will be your lucky night.”
Ethan eyed Tobias suspiciously before lifting a ticket, an annoyed scowl on his face.
“The Nevermore Haunt?” Ethan asked incredulously before dropping the ticket. “Yeah, hard pass.”
Tobias leaned against the kitchen counter and popped open a can of soda. “Oh,” he chuckled. “It will be hard, alright!”
“Come again?” Ethan asked.
“Yeah,” he grinned, taking a gulp from the can, “You could probably do that too.”
 Ethan removed his glasses and rubbed his eyes. “I’m trying to study….”
“Chill out,” he said, handing his friend a can of soda. “I’ll be studying in a minute too. But all work and no play makes Ethan a very dull boy. Just look at me as your guardian angel.”
Ethan finally relented, unable to contain the smile on his face. “You and the word angel should never be in the same sentence, Tobias. Can we just establish that as law?”
“Maybe if we were in law school,” Tobias shrugged, “but I see no need for it here.”
“So, since you’ve already sidetracked me, why am I supposed to be excited about this?”
“Because it is the scariest freaking place on the East Coast outside of Dr. Coleman’s bedroom.”
Ethan raised a brow. “You’ve been to Dr. Coleman’s bedroom?”
“We don’t speak of it,” his friend answered firmly. “But trust me, it’s scary. We went to Nevermore last year, and my buddy Carlos almost shit himself.”
“Well, if your goal is to get your buddy Ethan to shit himself this year, you’re out of luck. I won’t be going.”
“Why?” Tobias asked with a shocked expression. “Don’t worry, Carlos is a liberal arts major. They can’t handle the shit we can. You’ll be fine.”
“Maybe so,” Ethan agreed, “but haunted houses just aren’t my thing.”
“They don’t have to be. Jesus, do I have to teach you everything?”  Tobias shook his head. “Ethan, I’m bringing Tracey….”
“The redhead in our chemistry class? The one with the….” Ethan held his hands in front of his chest.
“That very one. And when she is all screaming and scared, well… I’ll be too happy to console.”
Ethan let out a sigh. “So essentially, you’re going to cop a cheap feel?”
“Hell no!” Tobias exclaimed. “I mean, maybe high school era Tobias would have done this, but this is med school level Tobias. He’s in it for the gratitude afterward.”
“You’re a horrible human being,” Ethan snickered.
“Oh, am I? Are you telling me you never once took a date to a scary movie?”
Ethan’s cheeks reddened as a look of shame spread on his face. “Well, there was Becky Forrester during freshman year of college.”
“SEE! Don’t act all holier than thou. This place is ten times more frightening than any movie you can dig up. So only one question remains, who ya bringing?”
Ethan looked out the window, a melancholy look on his face. There was only one person he was interested in, but their friend Vincenza was now firmly coupled with a third-year student. He and Tobias were lucky to even see her these days. Tobias knew that look, even understood it, but it was his mission to get his buddy over this.
“Ethan, Chenza is coupled up. I know she’s quite the catch, but she’s also off the market... unless...  you want to try to get her back on it.”
“I’m not about to do that!” he answered with disgust.
“Good answer!” Tobias gleamed, “but then you have no business sitting home on Saturday night. So, who ya gonna bring?”
~~~~~
Saturday night arrived, and Ethan and Tobias were meeting their dates at the quad. Tobias’s smile widened as a beautiful redhead sashayed in his direction.
“Tracey,” he sang, biting his lower lip. “How do you manage to look more beautiful every time I see you.”
Ethan rolled his eyes as Tracey slipped under Tobias’s arm. “Please, tell me those pathetic lines don’t work on you,” he implored.
“This isn’t our first rodeo,” Tracey bubbled as she snuggled closer to Tobias. “I don’t mind the flattery, even if I know it’s bullshit.”
The smile shed from T’s face, “Hey!”
“I’m just teasing!” She laughed. “But where’s your date, Ethan.”
“Yeah,” Tobias jumped on, “don’t tell me the scariest part of her night was the thought of going out with you?”
“Not quite,” a beautiful brunette with warm, brown eyes stepped up, slipped her arm into Ethan’s, and then extended her hand to Tobias and Tracy. “Hi, I’m Ava.”
“Ava,” Tobias smiled, shooting Ethan a look of approval. “So lovely to meet you, and I haven’t seen you around campus. Do you go here?”
“Yes,” she replied, “but I spend most of my time in the library. Probably why we haven’t met.”
“Hey, I’m second in my class so far, hon!” Tobias chuckled.
“And if you were in the library more, perhaps you’d be number one,” Ethan smirked.
“All right, all right. I like her. Now let’s get the hell out of here. Once we’re at Nevermore, all of you will be taken down a peg or two,” Tobias grinned.
Ethan shook his head with a smile. “We’ll see about that… buddy.”
The group arrived at Nevermore, and the eerie music outside already had Tracey on edge.
“You’ve been here before,” she said to T. “Are you sure it isn’t too scary.”
“Everyone’s always made it out alive, sugar. I won’t worry.”
“Besides,” Ethan offered. “You have big, bad Tobias to protect you. If he doesn’t end up slipping as he runs away in his designer shoes, that is.”
“You talk a big game, Ramsey. But I’m the only one who has ever made it through this place multiple times.”
“Are they always like this?” Ava asked Tracy.
“No,” she smiled. “Usually, they’re worse.”
Once inside, the fun really began. Between the darkness, smoke, and blinding strobe lights flashing all around, it was almost impossible to see where they were going.
“I don’t like this,” Tracey whimpered. “They’re going to jump out at us at any moment now, aren’t they.”
“Probably,” Ethan sighed. “Just know it’s coming, then you won’t be so scared when it….”
A giant ghoul with pointed talons jumped out in front of them. You could barely hear the screams, coming from everyone except Tobias, over the creatures deafening, guttural cries. A chuckling Tobias took Tracey’s hand and motioned for the group to follow him as they rushed down another black-lit hallway.
“We should be fine if we go this….”
The harsh sounds of two chainsaws cut him off, and the mutants carrying them began rushing in their direction.
“I know this is all fake,” Tracey cried, “but I want to leave. It’s too scary!”
Ethan caught Tobias winking in his direction as he pulled Tracy closer under his arm.
“Don’t worry, Darlin. It will be over before you know it!”
“Tracey,” Ethan interrupted through gasping breath as they all ran away. “Remember, state law prohibits them from coming within more than two feet of us. So no matter how scary, you’ll be fine.”
“Really?” Tracey cried. “You’re not just making that up, are you?”
“No, I looked up the law today.”
“Wow,” Ava eyed him, clearly impressed. “You are smart.”
“I like to be prepared,” Ethan smiled brightly. Ava chuckled at his teeth glowing brightly in the purple light.
“Why didn’t you know that, T?” Tracey spat.
“What’s the fun in knowing?” he answered.
Suddenly, the solid ground they were running on turned wobbly. They tried to keep their footing as they ran over a suspension bridge.
“What the fuck is this, T!” Tracey yelled.
“It’s just a bridge, dear, it’s….”
“It’s scary! I want to leave!”
Tobias chuckled as he pulled her near, but she pushed him away. “It’s not funny!”
“No, it’s not,” Ethan reassured her. “I see an exit sign a head, all in favor….”
“AYE!” was screamed by all except Tobias.
“You guys have to be kidding me! We’re not even halfway through!”
“Oh, we’re more than halfway,” Ethan assured, “because we’re going right out that….”
“AGGGHHH!” The group screamed again when a host of actors dressed as zombies appeared before them and blocked the door.
Ava had her face buried in Ethan’s sweater, and Tracey lurched back, directly under Ethan’s other arm.
“All right, guys, I don’t know what you’re paid for this gig, but we all know you’re actors, not real zombies, and we’re headed right for that door,” Ethan scowled.
“Yeah, and if you come within two feet of me, I’ll sue!” Tracey yelled.
"I can't believe this," Tobias groaned as they barrelled out the door, letting out sighs of relief as they stepped onto the well-lit Baltimore street as onlookers at the bar across the street laughed and cheered.
“Look at that,” Tobias gestured, “they're laughing at us because we’re quitters.”
He went to put his arm around Tracey, but she wasn’t there. Turning around, he found her still under Ethan’s arm and Ava nestled under the other.
“Uhh, what’s wrong with this picture?” Tobias asked.
“Nothing!” Tracey replied. “You were too busy thinking it was funny, but Ethan understood me!”
“He was just scared himself!” Tobias insisted.
“Yes, so I was relatable,” Ethan winked.
“Very funny,” Tobias laughed, “Why don’t we go get something to eat now, since fun time is over.”
“No, I don’t want to go out. I’m still terrified, and I just want to go home,” Tracey insisted.
“Trace,” Tobias spoke, rubbing his thumb against her cheek, “if I thought you’d be this frightened, I would never have taken you. I’m sorry, why don’t I drop Ethan and Ava off at the restaurant, and then we can go to your place.”
“You can drop them off,” she said, “but I’m taking a Xanax and going to sleep with my bedroom door locked. So you’re not coming over.”
Ethan tried to contain his laughter, but s snort escaped him nevertheless. Tobias shook his head in surrender as they walked to his car.
“Fine. We’ll bring you home then, and I guess I’ll third wheel it with you two over dinner.”
“Uhh, no, you won’t,” Ava interjected as Tobias shot her a questioning look.
“Sorry,” she shrugged, beaming up at Ethan. “But you were really impressive tonight. What do you say we skip dinner out and order in back at my place instead. Just the two of us.”
Ethan smirked toward Tobias, who stood slackjawed by his car.
“You have to be kidding me,” he exclaimed.
“Nope,” Ava smiled. “Not at all.”
“Fine,” Tobias surrendered. “Just get in the car. I’ll give you a lift home.”
“No need,” Ava grinned. “I live three blocks away. We can walk it.”
“Oh, you do?” Tracey enthused. “Can I walk with you then? I’m just two blocks down.”
“Sure, happy to get you home,” Ethan beamed.
“Wha... Tracey? You don’t want me to drive you?”
“Nope, in this traffic? I’ll get home faster walking. And like I said, I just REALLY want to get home. But thanks for the offer, T.  I’ll see you on campus Monday."
Tobias cursed under his breath as he slipped into the driver's seat. Looking back over his shoulder, Ethan asked the women if they’d just give him a minute, then he approached Tobias’s still parked car with a shit-eating grin. Tobias looked up with annoyance, which quickly melted into bemusement as his friend approached.
“OK, wise-ass… what are you smiling about?”
“I just wanted to say you were right, Tobias. I do want to thank you. It was a wonderful night.”
“You know,” Tobias grinned, “if you cared about me, you would have stopped right after the part when you said I was right.”
“Yeah,” Ethan laughed, “well, who said I cared? You ok? Tracey dumping you hasn’t permanently wounded your ego, has it?”
“MY Ego,” Tobias simpered, “Please. It’ll take more than that. Besides, I have a backup. Always have a backup, buddy. You sure you don’t want a ride.”
“I’m good.”
“Then I’ll see you back at the apartment.”
“Yeah, about that…,” Ethan winked. “Don’t wait up.”
Hi there!
My name is Shiro, and I’m looking for someone who’s just as self-indulgent and passionate as I am for reverse harems. I want someone who enjoys large amounts of men who want to romance our characters and can play upwards of 20 characters, as I will be doing the same.
Info about me ~ I am a 22-year-old woman (she/her) who lives in EST. I am in university and work, so my responses will vary. However, I try to respond when I can, as role-playing is my hobby.
Rule #1. You must be 18 or older! I am not role-playing with children.
Rule #2.  Please be able to respond multiple times a week. Nothing kills my vibe more than waiting for a response every two weeks. I understand we have lives outside the internet, but I’m more likely to forget and become disinterested in the role play as time passes.
Rule #3.  Ladies, gents, non-binary folks: this will be a double-up role play if I haven’t made that clear yet!
Rule #4. I am a semi-literate to advanced literate role play. BUT don’t force yourself to write more than is necessary. I’d rather have quality over quantity. I’m fine as long as I have something to work with. Now, onto the fun ~
Ouran High School Host Club
Ouran High is a school for the extremely wealthy or, in YC’s case, the highly talented. However, no amount of talent will help when YC accidentally drops an eight million yen vase in a music room. The vase was the property of Ouran High School Host Club, a group of attractive young men who, for a fee, provide their time and affections for their lovesick clientele: the female students. Fascinated by this strange new specimen, a poor and clumsy commoner, they force YC to work for them until the debt is repaid, but they get much more than they bargained for…
Hakuoki
Disguised as the opposite gender, YC has come to Kyoto searching for their missing father. This doctor developed a magical elixir that increases the drinker's speed, strength, and healing abilities. Instead of their father, they stumble across a battle between the Shinsengumi and the Furies, evil vampire-like creatures of their own making.
Kamigami no Asobi
YC discovers a mighty sword that transports them to another world. There, this ordinary high school student finds themself face-to-face with the mighty Greek god Zeus, who has an unusual request: remain in the dimension he has created and attend a school of legendary proportions. Zeus acts as dean for a school of young, misguided gods. The bond between humans and gods has weakened, and it is now up to YC to teach the gods about love and what it means to be human.
Free!
When Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa, Rin, and YC were in elementary school, they swam together in a relay race and won the match. As Rin was on his way to Australia to train to become an Olympic champion, the gang decided to bury their trophy in a time capsule and retrieve it when they all had grown up. Now, Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa, and YC have reunited in high school and decide to dig up the prize. But on the way there, they run into none other than Rin, and he's determined to show Haru who's the best! As a result of this fateful meeting, the four friends decide to start a swim club, along with fellow classmate Rei, and their rival's little sister Gou as the team manager. Can the gang hold their own against Rin and prove their skills at the Prefectural Tournament?
Uta no Prince Sama
When YC gets the chance to take the entrance exam for Saotome Academy for the Performing Arts, it seems as though they’re one step closer to their dream of composing songs for their favorite singer, Hayato. However, this is no gleeful high school musical experience, and YC is hiding a dreadful secret that may silence their musical ambitions forever. And even if they do get into Saotome, the competition will be more brutal than going on Japan’s Top Idol!
Amnesia
When YC regains consciousness in an unfamiliar place, they have suddenly lost all memories of everything that happened before August 1. What is this place, and what were they doing there? Who are they, and what sort of life had they lived?
Diabolik Lovers
After their father moves and leaves them behind, YC arrives at the mansion they must now call their home, unaware of the horrors that await them. For YC’s new housemates are vampires, and they’ve been sent to live with them by the church as their prospective spouse-to-be. But what sounds like the subject of a romance novel soon turns to despair, as these fanged beauties are delighted to have a new plaything to torment and will stop at nothing to force themselves upon them and drink their blood. YC must now learn to cope with their new life of being sadistically abused at every turn, whether they’re called derogatory slurs, forced to feed the vampires’ bloodlust against their will, or being treated like the garbage they see them to be.
Vampire Knight
Cross Academy is a school with a difference: in a unique and experimental setup designed by the headmaster, it has a Day Class consisting of ordinary humans and a Night Class filled with vampires. YC and their friend Zero Kiryu are school prefects whose job it is to make sure the secret of the Night Class is always safe; they patrol the school grounds at night and supervise the switchover of classes at dawn and dusk to prevent any 'accidents' from happening. While Zero is suspicious of vampires and hates the idea of sharing the same space as them, YC admires the Night Class for their beauty and sophistication; they are especially intrigued by their charming leader, Kaname, because he once saved their life. However, as YC quickly learns, not all vampires are amiable like the Night Class, and as terrible events unfold, YC must ask themself whether in a world where vampires are the hunters and humans are the prey, peaceful coexistence can really be achieved.
Hi there!
My name is Shiro, and I’m looking for someone who’s just as self-indulgent and passionate as I am for reverse harems. I want someone who enjoys large amounts of men who want to romance our characters and can play upwards of 20 characters, as I will be doing the same.
Info about me ~ I am a 22-year-old woman (she/her) who lives in EST. I am in university and work, so my responses will vary. However, I try to respond when I can, as role-playing is my hobby.
Rule #1. You must be 18 or older! I am not role-playing with children.
Rule #2.  Please be able to respond multiple times a week. Nothing kills my vibe more than waiting for a response every two weeks. I understand we have lives outside the internet, but I’m more likely to forget and become disinterested in the role play as time passes.
Rule #3.  Ladies, gents, non-binary folks: this will be a double-up role play if I haven’t made that clear yet!
Rule #4. I am a semi-literate to advanced literate role play. BUT don’t force yourself to write more than is necessary. I’d rather have quality over quantity. I’m fine as long as I have something to work with. Now, onto the fun ~
Ouran High School Host Club
Ouran High is a school for the extremely wealthy or, in YC’s case, the highly talented. However, no amount of talent will help when YC accidentally drops an eight million yen vase in a music room. The vase was the property of Ouran High School Host Club, a group of attractive young men who, for a fee, provide their time and affections for their lovesick clientele: the female students. Fascinated by this strange new specimen, a poor and clumsy commoner, they force YC to work for them until the debt is repaid, but they get much more than they bargained for…
Hakuoki
Disguised as the opposite gender, YC has come to Kyoto searching for their missing father. This doctor developed a magical elixir that increases the drinker's speed, strength, and healing abilities. Instead of their father, they stumble across a battle between the Shinsengumi and the Furies, evil vampire-like creatures of their own making.
Kamigami no Asobi
YC discovers a mighty sword that transports them to another world. There, this ordinary high school student finds themself face-to-face with the mighty Greek god Zeus, who has an unusual request: remain in the dimension he has created and attend a school of legendary proportions. Zeus acts as dean for a school of young, misguided gods. The bond between humans and gods has weakened, and it is now up to YC to teach the gods about love and what it means to be human.
Free!
When Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa, Rin, and YC were in elementary school, they swam together in a relay race and won the match. As Rin was on his way to Australia to train to become an Olympic champion, the gang decided to bury their trophy in a time capsule and retrieve it when they all had grown up. Now, Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa, and YC have reunited in high school and decide to dig up the prize. But on the way there, they run into none other than Rin, and he's determined to show Haru who's the best! As a result of this fateful meeting, the four friends decide to start a swim club, along with fellow classmate Rei, and their rival's little sister Gou as the team manager. Can the gang hold their own against Rin and prove their skills at the Prefectural Tournament?
Uta no Prince Sama
When YC gets the chance to take the entrance exam for Saotome Academy for the Performing Arts, it seems as though they’re one step closer to their dream of composing songs for their favorite singer, Hayato. However, this is no gleeful high school musical experience, and YC is hiding a dreadful secret that may silence their musical ambitions forever. And even if they do get into Saotome, the competition will be more brutal than going on Japan’s Top Idol!
YC has the perfect school-to-life balance, but all of that’s thrown into chaos when they discover that several of their handsome male classmates are actually demons in disguise.
5 FACTS - TOM WAGAMESE
1. Tom may seem cold or even unfriendly at first, but his stern exterior belies a gentle, caring nature. He's the type of person who would go out of his way, even put himself at risk, in order to help others. That's how he ended up taking in Roland...
2. He's a closet horticulturist with a major soft spot for potted plants. If you look around his home, you're sure to find a whole array of various greenery, neatly nested in pretty clay pots. It's not uncommon for him to take long, daunting, and even dangerous trips into the forest, only to come back with new specimens for his ever-growing indoor garden. He might be one of the few people who know how to properly grow some of Wyvern's Bay's rarest (read: magical) plant species in house conditions.
Tumblr media
3. Lynxes are his favourite animal. Nothing about it, right? Well, wrong. Because the scars on his cheek are a 'souvenir' from a close encounter with one very angry, very fierce lynx cub. Tom had been a young hunter then, still inexperienced in the fine art of laying traps; his sloppiness had nearly cost him his left eye, but has taught him a valuable lesson: Mother Nature does not tolerate mediocrity. It was a humbling, if eye-opening experience, leaving Tom awe-struck not only by the fragility of life, but also by the animal itself.
4. He's a bit of a loner, but not really by choice. He genuinely enjoys the company of other people, but his closed-off nature makes it hard for a new person to get to know him. It takes time for Tom to open up to someone new, and it has to happen organically - he hates being pushed.
5. He dreams of marrying a good woman and starting a family of his own one day, but so far, hasn't had much luck on that front. :<
Famous Five Art Nostalgia #06 – Part 2
Introductory post
Part 1
Five on Kirrin Island Again – Le Club des Cinq joue et gagne
Original publication date: 1947 (UK), 1956 (France)
Tumblr media
(Cover art by Umberto Nonna, 1981)
Plot summary (taken from Wikipedia):
Julian, Dick, Anne and George had planned to visit Kirrin Island for their school holidays, but George's father, Uncle Quentin, is using the island to conduct some secretive scientific experiments. George is frustrated with her father’s idea, but agrees to lend him the island until his experiments are complete.
Tumblr media
(Breakfast at Kirrin Cottage, with Aunt Fanny on the foreground)
When the Five and Aunt Fanny visit Uncle Quentin on the island the next day, the children are, at first, surprised that their uncle seems nowhere to be found, before getting frustrated when it turns out that the scientist has found a secret entrance to the castle’s dungeons, which the children could never find on their prior explorations of the island. As Aunt Fanny is worried about her husband living alone on the island, they devise a signal system by which Uncle Quentin can let them know everything is okay, using a mirror in the morning and a flashlight at night.
Tumblr media
(On Kirrin Island: Timmy's personal paradise! 🐶 🐇)
Making the most of their holidays on the mainland, the children go on walks and explore an abandoned quarry. They also befriend an artistic boy named Martin, who lives nearby with his guardian, Mr Curton.
Tumblr media
(The character holding the arrowhead looks a lot like Julian but I think he's actually Martin, because the picture would correspond to the following quote on the opposite page: « Martin ne fit pratiquement aucun commentaire. Il se contenta de jeter un coup d’œil sur la pointe de flèche qui méritait d’être admirée, car elle était intacte, puis il s’éloigna. Mick pensa qu’il était vraiment bizarre. Un garçon taciturne et peu agréable. » / “Martin did not say much. He just looked at the arrow-head, which certainly was a very fine unspoilt specimen, and then turned away. Dick thought he was a strange fellow. A bit dull and boring.” Jeez, what a stare. 😶 I think "unhinged" might be a better descriptor than "dull and boring.")
Uncle Quentin sends an unusual signal that morning and, when the Five and Aunt Fanny make another trip to the island, he says that he suspects the presence of intruders come to spy on his work.After much coaxing, George agrees to leave Timmy with her father on the island as a precaution.
The Five visit Martin at his home, discovering that he got his ankle injured while exploring the quarry with his surrogate father.
Tumblr media
(Julian peruses some of Martin’s artwork)
Uncle Quentin sends his “all is fine” signal in the morning, but George gets worried because Timmy wasn’t with him in the tower, despite her father’s promise to bring him. Although her cousins dismiss her worries on account of Uncle Quentin’s frequent forgetfulness, George sneaks out at night and rows to the island. She sees the two intruders coming up from underground and, after they have walked away, she explores the passage and finds her father, who explains that he was caught unawares by the two intruders that morning. For safekeeping, he gives her the notebook that the intruders have been looking for. George rescues Timmy from a nearby cave where the spies had locked him up, but she doesn’t have time to escape before the villains arrive. So she sends Timmy away with the notebook, with instructions to hide… But instead of hiding as instructed, Timmy follows the tunnel, which happens to lead to the quarry that the children have been exploring on the mainland. From there, Timmy joins Kirrin Cottage and brings the notebook to Julian.
Julian, Dick and Anne follow Timmy to the quarry, where they find Martin suspiciously carrying spades and torches. Martin spills the beans about Mr Curton, explaining that his guardian is part of a gang trying to steal Quentin’s secret formula for alternative energy, and vows to help. The boys dig up the passage while Anne goes back to Kirring Cottage to call for help. On her way back, she sees Mr Curton slipping on the path to the quarry and injuring his leg.
Tumblr media
(On her way to fetch help, Anne sees Mr Curton falling into the quarry. Anne has apparently enrolled in the same 'stare-into-the-void' training program as Martin above, but she has yet to attain Martin's level of vacant intensity. 👀)
The boys join George and her father underneath the island while fishermen come to the island following Anne’s call for help, causing the intruders to leave earlier than planned after setting an explosion meant to blow up the island, using Quentin’s tower. Quentin is released from the tunnel just in time to stop the explosion.
Mr Curton and the two spies are arrested by the police. After the rescue, Martin is admitted to an Art School and is then free from his unscrupulous guardian.
News to me, story unfolding: Victorians had street chalk artists?
The screever is a character who claims recognition as a professor of the fine arts […] with fish, flowers, etc. drawn upon the flags or pavement with coloured chalk.
[...]
screever a man who draws with coloured chalks on the pavement figures of our Saviour crowned with thorns, specimens of elaborate writing, thunderstorms, ships on fire, &c. The men who attend these pavement chalkings, and receive halfpence and sixpences from the admirers of street art, are not always the draughtsmen. The artist or screever drew perhaps in half-a-dozen places that very morning, and rented the spots out to as many cadaverous looking men.
both from the 1850s...I love it, their world had life and color!
FFFFAWN.
I have no clue how to introduce this new project I’m working on nor how to feel but hello! My name is Puff and I want to introduce a project that I’m in very early progress with: FFFFAWN!
“What is FFFFAWN?”
- FFFFAWN is a visual novel project that has three routes that leads you into a side of Cervus, a cult permanent residence for the chosen, and how the routed characters and MC end up saving or embracing the cult life themselves from Cervus’ grasp!
- FFFFAWN has dark and mature topics, influenced by the games that inspired FFFFAWN into creation. Age rating is 18+ so minors, do not interact.
“Why the name FFFFAWN?”
- As someone who adores psychology and is a psych student, I named FFFFAWN over the instinctive trauma responses; fight, flight, freeze, and fawn. I’ve always found it interesting, especially when I realized a certain character does use the fawning response a lot.
- I love psychology.
“What can we expect from this blog?”
- I want to track my progress and let some people see it! This is my first time ever doing this things and as someone who is very inexperienced and doing this all solo. The writing, the art, the UI, I’m not sure about the programming/sound design (maybe?) as of now, but..! I’m doing my best as a solo developer (for now! I know it’ll be difficult doing this solo!) until I can determine what I want without being super ambitious about it.
- I also forget a ton, keeping this blog helps me not forget the things I want to remember.
- I also want to do silly little Q&A things! Little silly memes before landing the finished product.
“What medias inspired the development of FFFFAWN?”
- Definitely a lot of games/visual novels. Mystic Messenger and Boyfriend to Death (Two sides of the same spectrum of dark topics, haha!) being the primary inspirations.
- Crywolf’s music as well! Been listening to his amazing music since I was in middle school.
“Who are the characters?”
- I’ll introduce them trying to not reveal their backstory and how they know each other.
Hyejin
To those into typology, she is an INTX, 2w3.
A very, very nice maid to Cervus!
Also a pushover…
A fine specimen to look under a microscope!
Salem
He’s… interesting! (ENTJ, 3w2)
Something feels off about him though.
Is it the fact that he’s ginger or is it the fact that he’s self-proclaiming himself as an “entrepreneur”?
(It’s the fact that he’s ginger.)
Paris
The stench of 2019 TikTok e-boys reeks from this guy!
He is definitely… something.
“I’m not other guys!” He says, telling everyone his typography (INTJ, 8w7) and his astrology big three.
He smells like a red flag, but does he act like one? (You’ll see.)
As of now, I’m keeping their designs a little hushed secret!
Alrighty. I think that’s enough for an information post, is it? Hopefully it is.
Oh! Almost forgot!
If you want to keep track of what I’m doing (Besides having silly hyperfixations over a sickly Victorian puppet and a feral fox-boy, and doing this project.), I have socials where I draw silly those and sometimes these characters.
All right, fine, I sort of wrote something. Another item from @fictionadventurer's list: In-character shopping lists.
Rachel (does not get regular pocket money or the chance to visit shops very often, so the list has to be brief and practical)
Hair ribbons (necessary to keep her mane contained)
Writing paper (mostly for letters to her father and brother)
Ink (see above, and also for lessons)
Black thread (for mending holes in stockings before her mother notices)
The new book The Princess of Yew (too expensive, never mind)
Rietta (means to be a good money manager but always fails--in this case she's determined to prepare for a long, boring train trip)
Lemon drops (her favorite)
Map of Corege (geography is important to her)
Hair pins (she's nearly grown-up enough to need them now!)
Hat pins (double as a weapon)
Magazine (to stave off boredom)
Pack of cards (see above)
Another magazine (in case she reads the first one too quickly)
Inane fidgety toy (why not)
Delclis (gets next to no pocket money as king and is perpetually annoyed about it--he's got a list of necessary supplies for when he saves up enough)
Seeds (a lot of them, dozens of varieties, he's got a whole itemized list)
Latest scientific journal (he wants to keep up with botany even if he's no longer able to be an active researcher)
Slides for microscope (the cells aren't going to examine themselves)
Mounting cards (for pressed botanical specimens)
Treats for Canis (who is a good boy)
Elystan (has probably never actually set foot in a shop, which is probably for the better since he has no concept of money management, but if he ever gets his chance while at school...)
Magazine with the latest Morrick Hopeley story (absolutely crucial, he cannot wait)
Puzzle game of some sort (he's bored)
Sweets (he's a child)
Phonograph record (preferably something ragtime, for maximum Josiah-annoyance)
Books (the more the better--he's bored)
Matches (to light asthma cigarettes)
Smelling salts (he has to carry these for fainting spells)
Printing paper (he owns a printing press. a small one. suitable for shenanigans)
Not listed: any number of random objects bought on a whim
Amarantha (dedicates most of her budget to Art, because she has Priorities)
Colored pencils (never can have too many, and she goes through them quickly)
Sketchbook (see above)
Charcoal (she's experimenting)
Cuff protectors (charcoal is messy)
Handkerchiefs (she also goes through these quickly since she uses them for art mishaps more often than anything else)
Tamett (has probably never bought anything unexpected or not on brand in his life)
Postcards (to send to family)
Comics (perfectly acceptable literature--he's practicing his Coregean)
New handball (lost the last one after it got stuck on a roof)
Typewriter ribbon (replacement)
Strawberry ice (from the school shop, as a treat)
Josiah (is a model budgeter, thank you very much)
Sheet music (for his music lessons and personal practice time)
Rosin (for his violin)
Violin strings (just in case)
Graph paper (for mathematics classes and extra credit work to impress the teachers)
Ink (for all the essays, letters, and journal entries he writes)
Chocolate creams (he keeps a stash, don't tell the others)
Comb (appearances are everything at Hollingham)
Pocket mirror (see above)
Political theory books (his father requires weekly updates on his reading material)
Military strategy books (see above)
Chocolate creams (...on second thought, he'll take two)
Like if someone showed a damn source on viv that'd be cool. But fine, take your word for it by what I managed to see.
Alot of the criticisms of the show are just bad though. Entire armchair philosophy shit by people who don't know how to write a unique story, jist a story that gets the teacher to give an A.
Saw someone show an animatic that got edited and they were pissed because a character, who had no lines or ANY purpose to the scene, was cut. And like, I'm looking at it, I see why it was removed, and yet somehow, this was "character favoritism" and buddy calm your tit. It did not need to be in the scene for that moment, it would have been visually distracting, and more so, again, it doesn't matter. At fucking all. Christ. Not every decision needs flamed, not every decision HAS to be your own, not every decision is evil or short-sighted. They have a story, they have a vision, they have QA that you should Neeeeeever be apart of for anything, I think just looking at it and seeing the obvious "why" should've been enough, but apparently not?
Every. Single. Time. It's a "social" problem too. Like guys, you're 30 layers deep and haven't reached irony yet, not one fucking soul is listening to Helluva Boss for morality you buncha fucking specimen. Character's flaws and actions don't represent the creators (Seriously ya'll Do Not seperate Artist from Art and it's embarrassing)
Actually none of you are good at critique or writing. Like. Not a one. The rigidity of following every possible rule you learned in school doesn't have to translate to every possible piece of creative work. Not everything needs to follow a shitty formula you saw from another show. There's hardly rules to any of this shit, we just create to create. Calm the fuck down. Seriously.
Let shit just be man. It's as non-harmful as it gets. The fact there's such a hateboner makes literally all viv critique sound just as dumb. Like, as I'm reading I'm going "O-ho-ho kay but you have 2 entire shows, at minimum, that prove they aren't homophobic or transphobic or whatever nonsense today"
All around, feels like 15yo energy in here and I am not remotely interested in wasting my time further. A very, very, pathetic and brisk runthrough a playground I thought would be a bar.
The Art of Producing High-Quality Red Wines
Crafting high-quality red wines is nothing short of an art form, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of the winemaking process. Hi there!
My name is Shiro, and I’m looking for someone who’s just as self-indulgent and passionate as I am for reverse harems. I want someone who enjoys large amounts of men who want to romance our characters and can play upwards of 20 characters, as I will be doing the same.
Info about me ~ I am a 22-year-old woman (she/her) who lives in EST. I am in university and work, so my responses will vary. However, I try to respond when I can, as role-playing is my hobby.
Rule #1. You must be 18 or older! I am not role-playing with children.
Rule #2.  Please be able to respond multiple times a week. Nothing kills my vibe more than waiting for a response every two weeks. I understand we have lives outside the internet, but I’m more likely to forget and become disinterested in the role play as time passes.
Rule #3.  Ladies, gents, non-binary folks: this will be a double-up role play if I haven’t made that clear yet!
Rule #4. I am a semi-literate to advanced literate role play. BUT don’t force yourself to write more than is necessary. I’d rather have quality over quantity. I’m fine as long as I have something to work with. Now, onto the fun ~
Fascinated by this strange new specimen, a poor and clumsy commoner, they force YC to work for them until the debt is repaid, but they get much more than they bargained for…
Vampire Knight
Cross Academy is a school with a difference: in a unique and experimental setup designed by the headmaster, it has a Day Class consisting of ordinary humans and a Night Class filled with vampires. YC and their friend Zero Kiryu are school prefects whose job it is to make sure the secret of the Night Class is always safe; they patrol the school grounds at night and supervise the switchover of classes at dawn and dusk to prevent any 'accidents' from happening. While Zero is suspicious of vampires and hates the idea of sharing the same space as them, YC admires the Night Class for their beauty and sophistication; they are especially intrigued by their charming leader, Kaname, because he once saved their life. However, as YC quickly learns, not all vampires are amiable like the Night Class, and as terrible events unfold, YC must ask themself whether in a world where vampires are the hunters and humans are the prey, peaceful coexistence can really be achieved.
Specimen Books Research
As early as the beginning of the sixteenth century, type specimen books developed as a way to help type founders, typecutters, and printers establish themselves in the burgeoning markets of the early modern book trade. Specimen books typically exhibit the full spectrum of typefaces available from a particular foundry or letterpress studio.
There was a time when printers produced type specimen books as well as type founders. Such publications show what types were being manufactured and document when specific founts were released on to the market, and their design reveals as much about the printers as the typefaces they display. These specimen books designed by Herbert Spencer for the printers Lund Humphries, provide evidence of a significant period in the development of British Modernism.
Printers’ type specimen books first appeared in the 1920s, with the widespread uptake of mechanical composition. Printers set typographic trends, and any reputable press regarded type specimen books as essential. That time was a decade of typographic expansion with many new and revived types coming on to the market. Monotype composition had also become popular, and technically up-to-date printers publicised this new system through their specimen books. By the 1980s desktop publishing had hit the industry. Responsibility for composition now lay not with the printer but with the designer, and clients ceased to choose a printer by his fonts.
Specimen books were effective vehicles for a printer to demonstrate his skills in composition, presswork and binding. Early type specimens looked like books, complete with prelims and end matter, and had page proportions and bindings that followed those of book production. The early specimens merely displayed typefaces, and provided no technical information such as character-set or casting-off tables. It was not until later that specimens developed their own style, taking the form of manuals both in content and presentation.
Type specimens were expensive to produce and were only issued by those printers who saw themselves in the typographic ‘front line’.
The Curwen Press in London favoured artists’ and ornamental Continental founts, which it advertised in its 1928 Specimen book of types and ornaments. A large, self-conscious specimen, it was exquisitely designed and printed on hand-made paper with deckle edges and excessive margins. It was a conspectus of modern printing with vignettes and ornaments, forming an unrivalled collection of work by contemporary artists, but it was expensive and too precious to be useful.
Curwen’s 1931 Working handbook was more basic. Printed on a rough stock with narrow margins, it displayed a limited range of faces and was a curious attempt to produce a useful and affordable specimen. Despite its title it failed to work, as it provided no full alphabets and its small format prohibited the adequate presentation of any text setting.
Specimen books issued by the Birmingham-based Kynoch Press were about type, not art. The Press favoured English revival types and produced two prewar specimens to publicise them. Its 1934 specimen appealed to typographic connoisseurs with its attractive presentation of rare founts. The types were divided into hand- and machine-set and were shown both as complete alphabets and as text with various leadings. The specimen was clothbound with Stevens Shanks’ Elephant
face sunk deep into the cover. This innovative cover gave dimension to the type allowing it to be seen and felt. The specimen was totally dependent upon the letterforms for impact and was a typographic solution from a printer that regarded itself as a typographer’s press.
In the 1950s the Kynoch Press produced a Specimen of typefaces, a loose-leaved two-volume manual with a Mult-O binding. The measured alphabets displayed complete upper- and lowercase alphabet lengths of all founts in all sizes, set against a pale blue background with fine white vertical lines at one pica intervals. This provided a visual character-count for each face and eliminated the necessity for casting-off tables. It was a graphic solution that was adopted by a number of other printers.
Lund Humphries of Bradford was interested in Continental sans serif types. In its 1930 Lund Humphries Type, the press showed its Modernist convictions by a bold use of geometric shapes, solid tints and reversed-out type. Bound in 2mm thick red board with a squared back, and held together by two thread screws, it had the appearance of a car maintenance manual. It was a functional specimen intended for use in inky printing works, and its large format allowed for adequate typeface presentation. The printer continued its commitment to usefulness when it produced the Type index, a utilitarian specimen book austerely bound in black, with a white sans serif titling reflecting its functionality.
In 1956, Herbert Spencer designed a specimen book for Lund Humphries. It was a visual synopsis of the full range of type laid out in a grid-format with an upper- and lowercase H and M to indicate hand- and machine-set types. Spencer’s Modernist layout sought to show the available typefaces as concisely as possible, and was an inventive solution to the challenge of type specimen presentation.
In hands of Spencer, an associate of Lund Humphries from 1950 to 1975, this specimen does not strive to impress, or to dictate how any face should be used. But it functions as it is intended, as a quick reference tool that provides the required information.
