Whatever process players take with armor in Horizon Forbidden West, it pays to be protected, and these legendary armor sets will do just that. Moreover, while their skills seemingly nudge players to particular playstyles and approaches in battle, each armor set can be built in more unique ways depending on what the player prefers. Legendary armors not only change the game in fundamental ways but complement other improvements to Horizon Forbidden West's combat. The Nora Thunder Warrior is earned through fighting at The Maw of the Arena and costs 54 arena medals. Also, considering ranged combat is the primary gameplay loop Forbidden West makes, this armor more appealing. The damage potential increases further when this armor is combined with weapons like The Death-Seeker's Shadow or the Forgefall. It is also highly flexible in battle with skills toward stamina regen increasing how many times the player can dodge and heavy weapon+ buffing two-handed weapons further. The armor is ranged focused with the highest impact damage among the legendary armors while massively buffing concentration. The Nora Thunder Warrior is the must-have set for players venturing into Horizon Forbidden West. The Oseram Artificer armor is given to the player after completing all 17 salvage contracts across the Forbidden West, making it the longest to obtain while beating Horizon Forbidden West. Also, the armor is relatively vulnerable without the overshield valor surge, especially on more significant difficulties or against the larger combat machines, shrinking the player's combat options. However, if there is one takeaway from the armor, it leans towards a more aggressive playstyle that might not fit every player. what's your favourite weapon/outfit combo in hfw if you have one? (feel free to answer this later,) and also is one of them the gorgeous outfit I keep seeing in your pictures? bc it is really pretty. also, favourite face paint? even if it's one you never use (personally I like a lot of the Utaru ones but I have to have Death-Seeker always for reasons) trying to make a list of things to check out before I approach Gemini.. I mean I also have sidequests still but you know..

I finally have access to my PC again and while my PS5 still is in Box Jail, I'll do my best to answer this one!

I'd be lying if I had a favourite combo as my playstyle is a mess and the game used to recommend me trying new weapons more fitting to my playstyle (as IF, game, I suck with all of them, the ones I'm going with are actually the ones I suck the least with) until I turned those notifs off, but I seem to have some preferences which happen to be the ones that keep popping up in my pics.

I have a weakness for the Tenakth Vindicator--dyed, in this case--because that little shoulder knife very much speaks to me, and I mean--

I also like the Nora Sentinel, which was already one of my favourite outfits in HZD (despite those many ropes), and the Oseram Explorer because it is simply a Look.

Other than that, the Carja Elite Stalker has completely stolen my heart. I dyed it purple/gold (Dune Shadow) mostly because that was the only Carja dye I had when I got it, but now that I've got all the others as well I've realised that I like that one best, so it's stayed on.

Above pictures also handily feature my favourite weapons, as I'm as boring as they come and only use (hunter) bows, spikethrowers and maybe the occasional sling but not really; and I mostly use the Seeker Hunter Bow (I do have Death-Seeker's Shadow but it's not fully upgraded yet plus I generally prefer frost over shock so it's more of an adornment in my inventory), the Forgefall bow for precision arrows and some plasma fun, and the Skykiller spikethrower.

As for face paints--I love the Utaru ones as well but never use them, but my absolute favourite's got to be the one you apply for the Powershot valor surge:

Haven't found it outside of it yet though, so that one time my game bugged out and ended the valor surge but not the applied face paint might continue to be the best bug that's happened to me in any game ever.
