something weird about danny phantom is that a "bag lunch" / bringing food from home is considered a poor people thing and thus shameful. when in my school the poor kids ate school lunch and all the rich kids brought lunch bags. so its surreal seeing a show from when i was a kid do it the other way around. weird

isnt it wild that danny fenton can just kill himself and revive himself at will. thats fucking nuts right. the premise is so good. that one comic of death coming to get him but then going away because danny isnt dead or alive hes something else entirely. and that goes so underexplored in the actual show. butch im gonna kill you for using this premise before anyone else more talented at execution got to do it

anyway i AM enjoying myself overall watching this, dgmw. but the bad aspects of the 2000s-ness and the butch hartman flavor is. bad.

im watching danny phantom after i watched the nicktendo review and realized i should have skipped to episode 7 and the first thing that really floored me was episode 10. there's a ghost dog, right. and it's "already partially trained". and the local defense contractor just phased out the guard dogs. that implication is so fucked up i didnt think kids shows were allowed to do that in the 2000s

my great great grandma made this afghan and we STILL HAVE IT. it's in amazing condition and the colors are still vibrant and all of that just blows my mind. it almost brings me to tears when i think about it for too long. isn't that amazing. i play stardew valley in front of this thing every day but computers didnt even exist yet when she made it. i dont even know her name or story but i do have this physical evidence she existed and was an incredible artisan. isn't that amazing???????? i think that's amazing

i should rewatch invader zim. i havent watched it since i was in middle school. i think its time to go back to it at least for a brief moment. that show made me a social pariah and my mom HATED it so much. shoutout to weird invader zim memories

okay im obsessed with this im stuck on it. dib absolutely would stick with a gang of supervillains if it meant busting zim or otherwise being vindicated. he is entirely self-interested and does things to make himself feel important and smart. but he's also savvy enough to know when he needs to be a coward and dip to save his own ass. this is not only completely in character but honestly a genius way to use dib in this kind of crossover story. 10/10
