Today's Lunar Mansion is Al-Qualb "The Heart of the Scorpion", a pure intense Scorpio energy, the claws/head/heart and sting!
A two-way process is seen here, the conquering of material enemies and acquiring mastery over matter in the battle to return to a higher dimension.
In this Capricorn period, we find Sobhek the crocodile headed god, the old king representing resistance to change.
It is here that the ruling diety Khnum steps forward to initiate the transformation:
We have become bound-up with being seen to emanate power, strength and authority, tied to career and personal achievement.
This ambition was shaped by wanting to be remembered as having done something worthy of attention, as a direct result of still carrying around negative emotions stemming from childhood.
This leaves you with a tendency to read too much into the intentions and expectations of others - you want to enliven and inspire them with what you have learned but all too often become more concerned with quantity rather than quality.
There is a desire to teach others about your beliefs - but be aware of becoming too entrenched in these ideas.
This arises out of a guilt that you are not all you could be - or from a feeling that someone is out to get you, "undoing by secret enemies", leaving you with a constant need to prove yourself to others.
Now is the time to request assistance from Sekhmet, to break this inner stalemate, in order to learn how to be a passionate leader without destroying yourself in the process.

Fittingly the final lunar mansion today for 2023 is no.13 Al-Awwa - representing Virgo and purification.
Here we sort-out what is worth keeping and rejecting anything that is too earthly to enable the soul to progress.
The letter for this mansion is "Lam" (see image 2) reminiscent of ☠️ Death's scythe, both representing a connection with Divine creative energies touching the physical (the skeleton straddles both worlds also, one foot in the living and one in that which will come to pass).
Both Death and Lam are motivated by the vital energies of Mars.
Mars in turn also empowers today's Waning Gibbous Moon 7♣️ which encourages a letting-go of limiting beliefs and embracing change in order to create space for new beginnings.
It is here that you are able to apply your own individual approach to matters.
This in turn relates to 10❤️ - with Mars indicating the need for you to take control in order to affirm your personal powers (being in charge of what enters and remains in your personal sphere).
2♦️Jupiter in Capricorn allows you the insight and energy to be able to do this today - aided by Mercury affecting 10♣️ highlighting a need to pin down and define just what is going on around you.
Look inside yourself then (to find your personal guidance - Joker) to discover more about what you want 3♣️ and reject any external stimuli.
This will open doors to new worlds for you, so focus your energies today on what YOU want, not what is expected of you.

Your main card for today, is Q♦️ whose understanding of cyclical growth permits her to launch new enterprises and dedicate herself to maintaining them, which is only fitting at this time when everyone is considering resolutions for the forthcoming year - and how to follow them through.
Excessive control 10♣️ is the bane of the Queen but she counters this with a solid work ethic 3♦️
The Queen's main ambition is to transcend her position in life and in doing so must avoid the pitfalls of K❤️ - when random factors block her path of progress, she must maintain an inner fortitude 5❤️ There will be times when you wonder if your best is good enough, whilst comparing yourself to the accomplishments of others.
Look then to todays Lunar Mansion Al-Zubrah, of whom The Picatrix describes as a man astride a lion, holding a lance in one hand and the ear of the beast in the other.
This mansion indicates achieving power, gain and respect - a culmination of the recovery from past events and the outward manifestation of the lion (your inner strengths) as it moves forward wanting to be seen as strong and ambitious 3♦️
Does some of this wanton show of power come from rivalry 2❤️ with a parent or sibling? Was there always a feeling that you needed to not only emulate but to surpass their achievements?
This feeling is a fallacy 3♣️ rather than relying on your family background to feel important - you need to forge your own identity and be appreciated for what you yourself have achieved.

Looking to the colour configuration: BRR-B, I see ♣️♦️❤️ ♣️ - a problem steadily improves, but there is work to be done.
9♣️ is a large bed of flowers (referencing the Garden) which becomes 4♣️ a smaller bed of flowers - a change of thinking leads to opportunity, a lessening of work (the 9 becoming the 4).
Q❤️ is looking to 3♦️ (change is coming), yet holding her flower up to 4♣️ behind her.
If 4♣️ is read as an old door lock (opening up to an opportunity that has been kept hidden or locked away), the 3♦️ is a flashy new distraction in the form of an electronic door mechanism (one that blinks when you present your pass to it).
Is Q❤️ holding a "key" (her flower) to something she unaware of (follow her gaze), ignoring something that has always been there in favour of a new distraction?
She is seduced (looking through the ❤️) by the glittering 3♦️ not realising she already holds the key to a much older secret.
3♦️ is in fact blocking her from seeing 9♣️ (a change of thinking), so some form of introspection is required (the 8♠️ of the Garden)

The Garden here also implies there is work to be done, some pruning is required (9 down to 4) if Q❤️ is to assure a tranquil future for herself. She must explore all possibilities (whatever resides behind 4's locked door) if she is to bring something new into her life. The Garden is also the secret oasis she carries within, the corner of rest and reflection which helps deal with everyday problems...

Here we find the Knight , Father of The Harvest, pausing for inspiration.
He is described (through association with today's date) in Picatrix as the menacing warrior of Al-Sharatain, the Lunar Mansion where the Moon begins her passage with a great burst of energy in the horns of the constellation Aries.
Here, however - the knight has become pre-occupied with "the things of earth", he has experienced obstacles and difficulties and has been opposed by many around him, so wisely holds back awaiting guidance and direction.
The knight's frustrations are illustrated in 5/Wands, with restrictive Saturn bringing delays, creativity is blocked by Saturn's equation with Binah, the Great Sea - ideas are forming under the surface but have yet to reach fruition, leading to the stagnation of 7/Cups.
Here the knight's lower emotions have taken hold and there seems to be no way out of the mire.
29. K'An/The Abysmal (Water) - in Man's world K'An represents the heart, the Soul locked-up within the body, the principle of light enclosed in the dark - that is reason" (I Ching/Richard Wilhelm)
To progress spiritually from this dense environment, the knight must do battle with all forms of thought and emotion, all the tendencies which hinder his progress.
Thus, he must embark on the Path of Disposing Intelligence (illustrated here in The Lovers), where he is able to bring together his conflicting thoughts and energies under the tutelage of The Hermit (aka Mercury).

OK, so when it comes to UFOs or whatever you want to call them, I am the biggest sceptic.
Why?
Because I have never seen one or had an ET experience (not counting the fact that I DID once have the classic alien abduction dream!).
Yeah, I believe all that esoteric stuff because it's actually happened to me.
I've seen ghosts/spirits/whatever you want to call it, I've had paranormal experiences with spirits and encountered cryptids via the spirit of a Blemmyes which lived in the garden of my old house.
But I've never seen a UFO or encountered grey men or anything.
I once experienced a faux_UFO sighting, a public park miles away was holding an event with a laser show (this was back in '91 when it wasn't so common), I'd just finished a late shift at the library I worked in - walking home I saw all these flashing lights in the sky, zooming around in patterns.
The local radio stations were jammed with callers as it was also Halloween (no internet to check up with).
I was like, yes - that's it, there here (until the explanation came through).
And the worlds of paranormal activity rarely cross over into the UFO sphere despite the obvious parallels.
With all the extraterrestrial revelations being in the news recently, I decided to put it to the test...
Do aliens exist, are UFOs a real thing?
I consulted my Spirit Guides and they pulled the following cards...
The Chariot - An exploratory craft: The Chariot is all about going to new places, exploration, the vehicle doesn't (usually) seem to be connected to the animal/being that pulls it - it's literally moving without any form of propulsion and always shown with the figure in the cockpit operating without any reigns (mind control).
6 of Wands (visually referencing) the X-Files: a pop culture reference, the open reading meaning (Yoav Ben-Dov) talks of collaboration. Are the "authorities" in cahoots with the little green men?
7 of Swords (again visually)a flying saucer shape, turn the card on its side you get the lozenge shape UFO with flashing red lights- the seven of Wands (can) mean combating many opponents, a struggle - do they not align with all the governments or is difficult to get to earth? The inner Sword hints at some form of unconventional travel in the way it links between the outer mesh of blades, yet passes through - do alien craft use inter-dimensional travel?
Finally, The Emperor - Ming The Merciless. The Emperor lives in a cold, steel-like environment. He lives for battle and conquest, his world is all about the struggle to win. Are the aliens aggressive or is it the humans who are battling them? Either way, he is not to be crossed.
So, that's fairly obvious then - aliens DO exist and are at war with "some" of the governments of the world but collaborating with others.
Until I see one for myself, I'm staying open-minded about it but the tarot oracles are wiser than me...

A conflict reaches its Endgame today - Al-Baldeh the current Lunar Mansion shows us an image of the god Janus, the God of Doorways and Gates, beginnings and endings.
This signifies that it is time to accept that the path you were on, a course you were following - has reached its end, time to pull the plug and slice the pie.
The source of this conflict is found in the disparity between the two Queens: Q❤️ favours changing to adapt to the situation by dissolving boundaries, she is Water of Water that flows around obstacles - accepting that like the transformations of the Moon, change is inevitable and we must sacrifice ourselves if we are to be reborn.
However, Chiron The Wounded Healer is situated amidst the thinking of Q♣️ today - where a childhood need to seek approval from others leaves you unable to absorb your influences to magnify them for your own benefit.
This concurs with Anubis The Shamen King (who rules today with the Sun situated in Leo) - he signifies it is time to recognise, acknowledge and release your old wounds so that you may expand to the next level of consciousness, to release yourself from the cycle of wounding, descending over and over again into pain and suffering without the ability to take meaning from the experience.
You have been hiding behind these old obstacles for too long 10♣️, it is time for new methodologies 8♠️, to let go of the need to map out everything in advance ("how should I behave if I want to impress?") and lose your (metaphorical) fear of flying, be less dependant on issues around your career and public status 7♠️ for it is here that Chiron has manifested throughout your life. Q♣️
Don't read too much into what others think about you, making mountains out of molehills - this is a day to be more like Q❤️ and allow your obstacles to wash over and around you, only take whatever learning benefits you from the situation.

The spread today is dominated by A♣️ - you are being given the chance to grow but still feel emotionally raw from an occurence where circumstances were out of your control 5♣️.
This incident however unpleasant has awakened in you new strengths (A♦️) which had until now been dormant.
The event out of your control underlined a hesitancy to commit to a particular situation which left you ruminating whilst others simply got on with the task. You were directing your energy into doing what you thought you should be doing - as opposed to behaving how you wanted to, leaving you unhappy and confused at the results.
Is this an instance of wanting to feel accepted by the "right" crowd, were you hoping for some form of social advancement from the situation? 5♠️
The Lunar Mansion for today, Al-Shaulah indicates that a better tactic would have been to confront this situation and ask yourself what is required of it?
With the current Moon in Scorpio, you are well-placed to look into your "self" and attune to the emotional undercurrents that presaged this difficult situation you find yourself in.
Do they emanate from events in your childhood - which you have been carrying around with you?
The Arabic letter Zayin and its cosmic number 7 (both associated with Al-Shaulah) deal with exorcism and change - which is well aspected in regards to the need for you to evaluate and purge emotions.
Today's Egyptian God is Nephthys, who dwells in the shadow world of hidden mysteries and it is she who invites you into a cosmic dance with your own shadow self - where these hidden emotions are buried.
She is the keeper of mystery of the Soul's path and she beckons you into the shadows to trust in the process of Death and Rebirth.

Al-Simak, the 14th Lunar Mansion, states that today is an auspicious time for ending a period of negative thinking and reminds us of the transitory nature of passion, the dissolution of inappropriate bonds.
These associations have created energies (thought forms as latent spirit) within you and now is the time to give physical expression to them.
With Saturn featuring prominently in today's spread, we look to Sobek the Egyptian Warrior God who highlights an area where you have felt trapped and restricted.
Sobek turns a wise-eye upon a reluctance to change this aspect of yourself where you fear to release the pent-up energies of spirit: the dance of Sobek and Horus (Saturn and Jupiter) tells you where you are in the eternal process of death+rebirth.
Saturn in Pisces 8❤️ rules overall today, you are afraid of what lurks beneath, in the name of security you have repressed certain drives and impulses through a fear of either dissolution of your inidviduality or the paranoia that someone is always out to get you.
These feelings have been projected onto all that surrounds you 6♦️ restricting your actions and movement in the world.

Here in the Moon we see the taming of these forces which have been utilised for the betterment of mankind - the way passing through the towers is the path to wholeness which erupts out of the Sun (the Disk that Khehphra holds up).
Saraswati, whose name literally means "the one who flows" (which can be applied to thoughts, words or the flow of a river) is the One who gives essential knowledge of our own Self, the Goddess of Learning, education and intelligence.
She is symbolised here by the figure of Libra in Adjustment, her face masked, all her attention turned inward, making her receptive to ideas and direction from The Self.
"She is wrapped in a cloak of mystery, the more mysterious because diaphonous; she is the sphinx without a secret, because she is purely a matter of calculation.
In Eastern philosophy she is Karma." (A.C./B.o.T.)
The warning here is illustrated in 10/Cups - ruled by the active force of Mars who threatens to unbalance the finely poised figure of Saraswati in Adjustment.
The waters run down from Kether into all the Cups - the central vessels Tiphareth, Yesod and Malkuth overflowing into Earth, bringing nourishment and the new life.
Well-aspected, due to Mars energies, this can lead to a sense of peace - but the concern today is not to allow blockages to disrupt the flow, not to fall prey to obstinacy in the face of disruption, but to strengthen our ego-consciousness.

Today's Lunar Mansion, "Al-Shaulah" indicates a need to acknowledge the natural cycles in our lives, that we must not block the normal ebb and flow of events, that we must allow for blockages and sorrows, trusting that there is a purpose and order and that our current circumstances will come to pass.
There is a heavy Mars/Scorpio energy around today 5❤️ which finds you grappling with the darker emotions of envy, greed or jealousy - and there is a need to transmute these negative feelings into a more constructive expression. These are the shadow energies which each of us holds in our psyche, unrecognised and unacknowledged - and it is here in the shadows that we find the archetype of Set (Seth/Mars), the Sacred Warrior, the Wounded Warrior who invites us into a personal exploration of the right uses of our inner negativity.
Seth invites us to dance with our shadow to access the catalyst for change that is contained within.
The potential is shown in 8♦️ where your sense of personal worth 3♣️ which you have measured against the works of others has actually propelled you forward and helped you define yourself - and it is only by standing back and seeing it all from a distance that you will gain perceptions and awareness of this. 8♣️
