#tea time #none of their cities are just pure #shining white marble #they're colors that mortal eyes cannot make out #when i was describing this concept on discord i said that maybe gondolin was actually covered with bright patterns and paintings #but maybe it's the opposite #maybe gondolin is notable as the only elven city that isn't so full of color #that in striving towards pure #valar-like light #they've gotten rid of all the traditional art and patterning in elven cities
