A Tale of Crowns: Records of the Crown

A record by the scholar Erez Barzanî on the preferences and behaviors of the Twenty-First Crown of Arsur, Mahin Koyi.

While this crown come from humble origins, and likely did not have the luxury of leisure, now they have it, they are often found studying texts about nature. They have a fondness for the study of architecture as well.

In the mornings they rise late, seeming to need to catch up on years of lost sleep. They prefer a savory breakfast, as well as other meals, and are adventurous in foods they are willing to try. The food they enjoy the most seems to be dolma.

For their taste in clothing they prefer shalvar in shades of green and blue. And in adornment they are simple, preferring earrings most of all. They tend to wear their hair in loose about their shoulders. They seem to care for appearances and are plain but elegant in taste.

In conversation they are found charming. If you are close to them, you can often smell their preferred scent of flowers. I imagine if one were to be able to have private audience with them they would laugh easily. I recall they mentioned a fear of deep water once. And when idle, they tend to twirl a lock of hair in their fingers. Generally, their expression is that of smiling to themselves.

They seem most accustomed to travel, and have developed a devoted relationship with their horse, who is called Sweet. They seem disinterested in learning and honing their martial skills. In magic, they are quite enthusiastic to learn however, and show a predilection towards inner magic.

When I asked them, they said their fondest memory of their parents was:

"My parents? I remember once my mother taught me to braid by using my father's hair as an example. When I went to braid hers, it looked terrible. But my father told her she had never looked more lovely, and swung me around proclaiming me Arsur's finest beautician. They were silly like that."

They seem most fond of their companion, General Dara, and are quite relaxed with their serving staff. In the evenings when they are not busy with the duties of the crown, they can be found wandering the grounds. They tend to go to their bedchambers to sleep when done with their work. This crown appears to be a diplomat in the making. I look forward to further learning about them and their reign to come.

been playing Blades in the Dark recently, and its all my favorite things: stealing? elaborate costumes and schemes? heists? perfection!

in the corner is my character Merlot, who is a Whisper, compelling a grandma ghost to go scare some guards. other things pictured: the hammer we were paid big bucks to steal, a spirit bottle Merlot captured a ghost in, and the dog we stole from the scene of the crime.
