This poll is a celebration of fandom history; we're aware that there are certain issues with many of the listed pairings and sources, but they are a part of that history. Please do not take this as an endorsement, and refrain from harassment.
love and light to ppl voting for sqh, but my girl buffy got resurrected against her will just so she could do more work and she's like so overworked and traumatized post resurrection that she thinks she's actually in hell instead of real life
Shang Qinghua is literally just an accountant with a flying sword. They are not the same
This is the most obnoxious thing I have ever read in my fucking life do you people even HEAR yourselves. It's literally a blockbuster summer flick for kids based on a ttrpg why would you expect it to be high cinema get a LIFE
the thing with ai art is that while I agree that there are many ethical issues with it, the way people tend to talk about it has been full of complete fundamental misunderstandings of what ai art actually is and how it works. I want to hashtag support real artists but I don't want to align myself with people who think ai art is literally sampling images from the internet in real time (people explain it like it's a collage so often but it's really nothing like a collage) or people who think the "solution" to ai art is more strict copyright law
Will anything ever bring us as much joy and comedic bliss as the reveal of Jason Mendoza? Will I ever feel as alive as I did in that moment when Jason utters the words "heaven is so racist"? Will there ever be a moment in time that slaps me so hard in the face with surprise as the moment Jianu the monk rapidly turns into Jason the Jacksonville dirtbag? Will we as a society ever capture that kind of magic again?
#okay but as someone not into Naruto but with a passing interest in Shakespeare #from what I've seen the naruto one is more of a love story #in large part because Romeo and juliet is about the tragedy of two families ruining lives eoth their hatred #the love story isn't the point its a vehicle to drive the tragedy home. #so from what I've seen the Naruto one is more of a love story because the relationships between characters is part of the point #rather than secondary #idk for sure though. someone familiar with both would have to weigh in
I regret to inform u that Naruto is also very much about the lives of two kids in love being ruined by the hatred and mistakes of the adults in power and feeling like their only chance at true happiness free from hatred can only happen through the eternal freedom of death
and like. Both Romeo and Naruto would rather die than leave their beloved behind in life or afterlife
