Listening to "you're losing me" today (because what else could I listen to) and I will never stop thinking about "and I wouldn't marry me either"
It will never make me not be dizzy.

Me, who didn't buy any of the collection editions of TTPD because I was an indecisive little shit, and didn't know which cover I liked best (spoiler alert: rn is the black dog), randomly going to Twitter and seeing the Fortnight single CD and saying, fuck it, might as well 😂😂 and going and buying it without even being a Posty fan. Oh well it was $10 lol
I love that we are entering our 'fuck it' phase. dajhwejhrr

Sarah, thought you’d appreciate this. Was just explaining to my sis the ✌️ lord. She’s not a mega Swiftie but has become more of a fan after I took her to the Eras Tour. She’s most familiar with Taylor’s early music - probably through Red - simply because I always had it playing in the car. But she also loves reputation. So here theory on the ✌️ was “what is she’s announcing two album! rep also!” And I explained why I didn’t think so. But then we talked about the rerecords and she goes “she’s saved the two best ones for last!” my sweet little debut reputation heart. ❤️🥹 I’m the proudest sister
Omg. YOU'VE DONE THE WORK, FRIEND. I'M SO PROUD.

I literally had the wind knocked out of me when evermore was released. I had covid at the time.
I struggled to stay awake that night. I should’ve just slept because I was sick but I really really wanted to listen. It was the last time I did not fall asleep during a release.
Yet, it is my favorite album even though I don’t listen to it often. ‘Tis the Damn Season and Dorothea are near the top for my favorites. Ivy and Cowboy Like Me are sonically my least favorites but I appreciate them for what they are. Also Marjorie makes me cry ugly tears every time as I think about my Mimi.
Sooo many feelings for evermore. One of my favourites as well.

To vibing Cowboy Like Me anon: First: vibing without assigning meaning to the lyrics is totally fine, and carry on if you so wish. Second: I know it's popular right now to deem every single song on folkmore to be secretly autobiographical, but I think you can take this one pretty easily as a fully straightforward fictional tale about two con artists working the same resort/country club who accidentally fall in love with each other and stop hitting their rich marks. No hidden meaning necessary
This is so interesting and while I totally agree the plot of the song is obviously super fictional and is almost like ... a cowboy western one shot short film in a song I actually find there's so much emotional resonance in "cowboy like me" that Taylor probably feels was her life. The vibes of renegades and bandits and thieves and criminals high tailing it off in the night and crimes and "might just get away with it" etc. That all feels very much within the emotional universe present in other songs that are obviously autobiographical.
"The old men that I've swindled really did believe I was the one" feels so "I've been breaking hearts a long time / Toying with them older guys / Just playthings for me to use" for instance!

Trying to put my thoughts together about folklore has been so hard! It’s such a brilliant album.
What I remember the most when it was released is how joyful it felt to have this surprise gift in the middle of the saddest summer ever. An escape into a different world that Taylor made up for us. Stories about made up characters! And we all pretended to believe her while at the same time we knew only a few of them were truly fictional stories.
We see you Taylor and we love you and we will go along with this because you asked us to.
But Taylor, we knew. We always know. And you know we know. And we know you know we know.
I listened to this album nonstop until evermore was released and then I listened to both of them nonstop as if they were one really long album.
Favorite song - My Tears Ricochet
Favorite lyrics - Exile, every single word
Underrated Song - Mad Woman. This song seems to get no attention at all and it’s so good! Superior to The Man because she’s not disguising it with a cute overlay at all. She’s just unapologetically in your face pissed off. I almost picked this as my favorite but the devastation of MTR is so powerful.
I loved that she gave us the gift of an escape hatch during the pandemic when our lives were going through such a painful and lonely shift and in return we gave her the grace to pretend that folkmore was more fictionalized than she herself was prepared to admit just yet.

The countdown and all the puzzles and ✌️ led to…. a cd single? 🫠 this could have been an email blondie!
What if I told you I suspect ✌️ is still relevant because there’s another 2 o’clock in play.

Midnights came in clutch with what I was wanting at the time and my faves include Bejeweled, Glitch, Paris, High Infidelity, Mastermind, Snow On the Beach, Dear Reader, Vigilante Shit, Question, Anti Hero and Lavender Haze
I love that this is like half the tracklist as it should be.

I know Champaign Problems is about a very specific kind of relationship break down and break apart but I think it works in lots of situations where people just grow apart and can no longer go the same way (to not put a to fine point on it) as much as it would be so easy to
I think that's the beauty of a lot of Taylor's songs is how malleable they can be do the human condition and the things that we all experience at some point or another.

this. might be a little unhinged but cowboy like me didn’t appeal to me for the longest time (it was fine, just not a standout) until my friend told me she was writing a fic with her favourite character and put me in there with my favourite character and how the song applied to us/her fic 😭 and now i am soooo obsessed with cowboy like me, i think about my blorbo every time i hear it :’)
Please this is so highly niche but I love it!!!!

Midnights! What a sparkly, fun addition to Taylor’s discography. As a massive fan of concept albums, I was beyond excited for this; it really feels like Taylor pulled me ideal album out of my head and made it real. Plus, I’m still getting of the shock of the 3AM tracks drop.
Favorite Song: SOTB (regular version) and The Great War
Favorite Lyrics: The Great War bridge but especially “Soldier down on that icy ground/Looked up at me with honor and truth” OR
“My smile is like I won a contest/And to hide that would be so dishonest” OR
“Sit quiet by my side in the shade/And not the kind that's thrown/I mean, the kind under where a tree has grown”
(I worked so hard narrowing down these lyrics, Sarah and fellow TSSers. I really tried.)
Most Underrated: Paris and YOYOK but specifically the strings remix from the lavender edition. I’m very sad that version has never made it to streaming.
Sarah, thank you for facilitating this super fun experience. TSSers, thank you for sharing your heartfelt, funny, and beautiful stories. Doing this has made the last ten days go so much faster and I’ve loved feeling a sense of community here. I hope you all love TTPD and wish you the best listening experience! All of my love!
Omg so interesting because as someone who loves "Snow On the Beach" and has since first listen I absolutely prefer the More Lana version. So much more textured and sparkly in production.
All my love to YOU friend. It truly genuinely has been like ... I think the best week I've had in such a long time. You guys have made this relisten just SOOOOOO wonderful and warm. My cup it truly is full! In fact it overfloweth!

Midnights day! Listening to it, I feel like Midnights can kinda be summed up by "memories feel like weapons".
I totally feel this. Also, "I peered through a window / A deep portal, time travel" and also in WCS "If clarity's in death, then why won't this die?"
