HELLO EVERYONE! It has been a while since I’ve posted new work. I practically quit at one moment, but I’m back! And my first piece is a companion piece to my LAST Cassandra piece. A few days of work and a lot of hardware issues concerning my tablet and it talking to my computer. But its sorted now. I suppose this is the Jade Canary version of Shiva from Pre-52 Birds of Prey. Remember that time I met Neil Gaiman at the Majestic nine years ago? Pepperidge Farms remembers. I was quite nervous and unsure what to get signed as all attendees received his latest book and one item of their choosing. He did apologize for people bring the Sandman Omnibus. My choices where my first edition hardcover of American Gods, a signed photo art book by Kellie Bickman, who was Gaiman's assistant for a while before moving to NY to be Chris Claremont's assistant. I chose the Bickman book since he wrote the foreword. I caught a few extra moments with him by that choice. What a great moment in my life!

Life Update 2021

Since it seems like I might have to give a "proof of life" post, here we go: In August (the week after by birthday btw) I was terminated from my position at Heritage Auctions. Let's say there was a Grand Canyon size difference in opinions that I had problems with the direction of the department that did not align with the company. The upside is that part of my severance package offered to me was that Heritage would continue to pay me until the end of the year to allow me not only no loss of insurance or overall income. Now, I can't emphasize enough how much Heritage went to bat for me during this rough and tumble year, but anyone could have seen the writing on the wall of this and with half of the department turning over at that time, why not add a firing too? I dunno. I spent my first month of "unemployment" visiting dying malls in the DFW area and remembering the old days when malls were things. I visited StoneBriar (man, I still miss that ice rink), Willow Bend, The Galleria, Northpark, North East Mall, and the Hulen Mall. With the all clear from my doctors, I was able to move out of Richardson (btw I was in Richardson for about 6 months) to Arlington and became a MASSIVE shopper at the IKEA in Grand Prairie and the Target in Euless. It was ugly for a bit. Which brings us to this week, where I got my booster (It had to be a full third shot because of the type of vaccine I got in Jan/Feb), voted (and finding out that I didn't register to vote at the deadline and it would probably not count) and got a job at Amazon (which I start on 27th). Now you're caught up with me.

Hey Everyone, remember me?! It’s been over a year since my last post and I wanted to get you all up to speed on what had happened with me. I didn’t contract COVID, if that helps any? Late September, last year, I suffered a massive seizure at work, waking up in an ambulance which told me that particular hospital could not treat the tumor (later finding out it was non-cancerous) and transferred me to a hospital in Ft. Worth. I was told that I had a tumor the size of my fist and they were going to go in and cut out 90% of it as they believed that this was as textbook procedure one could ask for. So two days later, I had my tumor cut out and was out of the hospital that Sunday. I had been dating my girlfriend at the time (ex- nowadays) and my Mom flew up to Dallas to check on me. What a weird time to meet, right?! It’s been a year of rehab (I didn’t lose any memory or physical acumen) but I have moved on and have been able to move into a new apartment (I did lose my job for....reasons) and hope to find a new line of work soon. So what have you all been doing?
