Not baked in Ithaca. Having coffee with one of my heroes today... My nose is one of the reasons behind my nickname “Rhino”... The guy that took this shot well we share that same feature. My uncle has been an Airforce Pilot/Trainer, CIA, developer, and even a pastor. His kids are some of my favorite people in the world & his wife, my Aunt “Becky Sue” is also one of my favorite people in the world. He said hey hold still a minute, and wanted to get this shot with the lighting & then I learned something new about him today that he is a closet creative and loves photography and used to do a lot of it. We found a nice spot in the sun but Azul (nor I) are built for the cold so I had to put my coat on Azul to keep him warm. You can see my scar in this shot, I used to try and hide that side of my face - especially around women. But now I love my scar... its part of me and helps keep away the superficial. I’ve been told I could have it removed but it’s a keeper. Miss you Cali, but love you always Ithaca. "Surf more, stress less. Do good. Good morning, #tbt to warmer sunrises... I’m cold up here in NY!!! Repost @tadeuszen ・ I had never seen the Atlantic Ocean this still the morning I took this shot. The water was almost glass, that's what it felt like paddling through it. So peaceful & beautiful. It reminded me of my childhood on Cayuga Lake in Ithaca. But back then we would pray for glass so we could ski & wakeboard, now we pray for waves. When I was in college there were a lot of people there from JRZY and I never had any desire to go there, now it's "home" but home always feels like LA to me. Have to get to Hawaii and see if that changes anything then Bali is on the list. First shower in days... #roadlife It’s been a great trip despite the grime. Just coaster down Route 13 in the dark, alternator went out on the FJ, which otherwise has been a phenomenal truck, it was pretty wild for the few out there that know the Ithaca area. I past a State Trooper who had pulled someone over right as I realized I was having an issue and the battery light came on then a bunch of others... Made it back from Dryden (Check the Village of the Damned on Discovery Channel) right into city limits... looks like I’ll be in town a little longer than planned. Feels good to clean up though I rarely ever shave with a razor I picked up an OG single razor shaving kit awhile ago and enjoy the process.
