The Techné MERLIN TwinTime gets its name from one of the finest piston engines ever manufactured and used on the legendary P-51 Mustang fighter.

We have followed military standards to deliver an optimal readability in any environment, and the ISAswiss multiquartz movement displays date, weekday and a separate time zone.

Since 2009 at Techné we have been celebrate the individuals who have gone beyond the horizon and punched above their weight.

In November 2020 we featured Libby Gardner, an accomplished mother and spouse who together with 1,100 other women helped during WWII to assemble aircrafts, test them and instruct men on target practice and on flying them.

In 2013 we launched the Harrier collection, which led to a limited edition for armed forces. The automatic version used the calibre 9015, a slim movement that had been released by Miyota in 2009 to offer 42h of power reserve and chronometric precision. Techné was one of the first third party brands to use it, and we regulate our watches within -4/+6 seconds per day, as opposed to the factory's -15/+15 seconds per day.

More than 50 steps are needed to produce some 280 finished straps out of a full hide. Our calf leather is sourced from traditional tanneries based in Tuscany and the transformation into a strap heavily relies on skilled manual labour, even if some tasks are carried out on electric driven machines.

Our 18mm buckle is made in Staybrite austenitic stainless steel, an alloy that was invented by Firth Brown Steels in 1924 and quickly adopted by watchmakers as a substitute to platinum for the production of watch cases, during the impending Great Depression. Staybrite went on to be used for cutlery, surgical instruments and most industrial and household appliances.

We designed this navigation watch with a broad dial, broad luminous indexes and hands. It houses an ISAswiss quartz movement with hack feature that shows twin time, day and date registers.
