How to: Fix Scroll Wheel Not Working in Chrome
Here we can see, "How to: Fix Scroll Wheel Not Working in Chrome" - It's fairly uncommon for Chrome's scroll wheel to stop working. Why put up with that when there's a better alternative? - When perusing very long Web pages, scrolling can be handy. But what if the mouse wheel in Windows 10 isn't scrolling? - When the mouse wheel doesn't scroll in Windows 10, you can activate universal scrolling or experiment with the scroll inactive windows. - If your Chrome mouse scroll isn't working, you can try restarting the browser and disabling some extensions if your Chrome mouse scroll isn't working. In Chrome, the scroll wheel isn't working. Don't worry, and you're not the only one that feels this way! In reality, several Chrome browser users have reported that their mouse wheel in Windows 10 does not scroll.Someone on the Google Product Forums reports troubles with mouse operation when using the Chrome browser in Windows 10.In the discussion thread, the problem is described as follows:The mouse wheel hasn't worked in Chrome in Metro mode since the update to Windows 8.1; there's no scrolling or zooming (with ctrl). The wheel click is the only thing that works. It works flawlessly in desktop mode. There was no difference when I tried it with and without extensions, especially the Logitech smooth scroll (which I only installed after the problem started). The Chrome version is apparently the most recent, and the problem only occurs when Chrome is used in the Modern user interface (or Metro, as some still call it). There have been no issues with the Chrome browser on Windows 10's Desktop mode. Here are some ideas for resolving the mouse scroll not functioning in Chrome issue. How can I repair Google Chrome's scrolling problem? 1. Switch to a different browser While you're figuring out what's wrong with Chrome, you should have a backup browser on hand, and none is better than Opera for this task.Because both browsers use the same engine, Chromium, their extension libraries are interchangeable. On the other hand, Opera offers significantly reduced system needs, even when you have 20 tabs open and superior security features. You can improve your scrolling experience by installing extensions, such as those that allow Smooth Scrolling. As a result, difficulties with the Chrome mouse scroll not working should be a thing of the past. 2. Scroll inactive windows on and off a few times - Select Devices > Mouse & Touchpad from the Settings menu. - Disable the Scroll Inactive Windows option in the Control Panel. - Allow a few seconds before enabling it again. - Check if the mouse wheel is responsive on Chrome after repeating this procedure a few times.3. Turn off all browser extensions According to several users, disabling browser extensions helped them solve the problem. If the scroll wheel stopped operating in Windows 10 after installing a specific extension, start by disabling that one.Disable all of your Chrome extensions if the situation remains. Then, see if the problem with Chrome's mouse scrolling has been resolved. 4. Make global scrolling possible Many users confirmed that enabling universal scrolling and adding Chrome to the list of exceptions on Google's forum resolved the issue. The users who initially proposed this workaround did so using a Lenovo laptop and characterized it as follows: All Control Panel Items>Control Panel>Go to the Lenovo tab, select Advanced Properties, then to the Wheel tab, ensure that Enable Universal Scrolling is checked, select Exceptions, and add Chrome to the list that appears. The scrolling wheel will now operate in Chrome. 5. Add the Logitech Smooth Scrolling extension to your Chrome browser Install the Smooth Scrolling extension from the Chrome Web Store if you use a Logitech mouse. Many users have reported that this method worked for them, so give it a shot and see if it works for you as well. 6. Go back to Chrome's original settings - If the problem persists, return Chrome to its default settings. - To do so, go to the three-dot menu and pick Settings from the drop-down menu. - Now select Advanced from the drop-down menu and scroll to the bottom of the page. - Restore settings to their original defaults by selecting this option.Try reinstalling Google Chrome if nothing else works. Conclusion I hope you found this guide useful. If you’ve got any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to use the shape below. User Questions: 1. What can I do if my scroll wheel isn't working? If you're using an out-of-date or incorrect mouse driver, your mouse scroll wheel may cease operating. As a result, you should upgrade your mouse driver to see if this resolves your issue. If you don't have the time, patience, or skills to manually update the driver, Driver Easy can do it for you.2. In Chrome, how can I activate scrolling? To enable smooth scrolling, open a new tab and type chrome:/flags/#smooth-scrolling into the address bar. Select Enabled from the dropdown box next to Smooth scrolling. In the bottom-right corner, click Relaunch. Google Chrome will restart and open any previously open pages.3. What's the deal with my middle click not working? The issue of the middle mouse button not working might be caused by a missing or outdated mouse driver, thus you should upgrade your mouse driver to the most recent version to resolve the problem. You can manually download and install the most recent version of your mouse driver file from the manufacturer's website.4. Is Closing iPhone Apps A Bad Idea? No, And Here’s Why
Here we can see, “Is Closing iPhone Apps A Bad Idea? No, And Here’s Why”After double-clicking the Home button, you swipe your apps off the top of the screen: Is this a good or poor idea? Recently, there's been some debate over whether shutting apps on your iPhone and iPad is beneficial or bad, particularly in terms of battery life. It's something I've always thought was a good idea: Close Your Apps is tip #4 in my article on how to extend the life of your iPhone battery. This article will explain why shutting apps can enhance your iPhone's battery life, present examples from real-world testing I conducted using Apple Developer Tools and my iPhone, and provide passages from Apple Developer documentation to back up my claims. When I write, I want the knowledge I give to be useful and understandable to everyone. I try not to get too technical because my experience working at an Apple Store has shown me that people's eyes glaze away when I start talking about processes, CPU time, and the app life cycle. We'll delve a little deeper into how apps function in this article so you can decide whether or not closing out your iPhone or iPad apps is right for you. First, we'll go over the App Life Cycle, which outlines what happens from the time you start an app until it closes and is erased from memory. The App Life Cycle The app life cycle is made up of five different phases. Every app on your iPhone is in one of these states, and the majority of them are not operating. Each one is explained in detail in the Apple Developer documentation: Key Takeaways - When you exit an app by pressing the Home button, it goes into the Background or Suspended mode. - The app closes and goes into the Not Running state when you double-click the Home button and swipe an app off the top of the screen. - Modes are another term for app states. - Background apps continue to run and waste your battery; however apps in Suspended mode do not.Swiping Up Apps: Closing or Force-Quitting? Double-clicking the Home button on your iPhone and swiping an app off the top of the screen closes the app to clear up any misunderstandings. Force-quitting an app is a distinct procedure that I'll cover in a later article. This is confirmed in Apple's iOS Multitasking support article: "To close an app, double-click the Home button. To display previously used apps, double-click the Home button." Then, you wish to close on the app, slide up." Why Do We Close Out Our Apps? I've always said this in my articles about how to extend the life of your iPhone battery: "Closing out your apps once or twice a day is a smart practice. You'd never have to do this in an ideal world, and most Apple staff would never recommend it... When an app is supposed to close but doesn't, it causes battery loss. Instead, the software fails in the background, draining your iPhone battery without your knowledge." In brief, I recommend closing off your apps to prevent your battery from being drained when an app does not properly enter the background or suspension state. I likened your iPhone's CPU (central processor unit; the brains of the operation) to a car engine in my post about why iPhones get hot:The car engine overheats and consumes a lot of gas if you press the pedal to the metal for an extended period of time. The iPhone overheats, and your battery drains quickly if the CPU is turned up to 100% for an extended period of time. All apps use your iPhone's CPU. Normally, when an app first launches, it consumes a significant amount of CPU power for a second or two before switching to a lower-power mode as you use it. The iPhone's CPU frequently remains at 100% when an app crashes. When you close your apps, you ensure that this does not happen by returning the app to the non-running state. Is It Harmful To Close An App? Certainly not. Unlike many programs on your Mac or PC, iPhone apps do not save your data until you click "Save." The importance of apps being ready to terminate at any time is emphasized in Apple's developer documentation: "Apps must be ready for termination at any moment and should not wait to preserve user data or accomplish other vital functions before terminating." Termination by the operating system is a natural aspect of an app's life cycle." It's also fine to close an app: "In addition to the system stopping your program, the user can use the multitasking UI to terminate your app directly." The consequence of a user-initiated termination is the same as that of a suspended app." The Argument Against Closing Out iPhone and iPad Apps There is a case for not closing down your apps, and it is well-founded. It is, however, based on a very limited interpretation of the facts. The long and short of it is this: - It takes more power to resume an app from the background or suspended state than to open it from the not running state. This is completely correct. - Apple puts a lot of effort into ensuring that the iPhone operating system manages memory efficiently, which reduces the amount of battery usage by apps left in the background or suspended. This is correct as well. - If you close out your apps, you're squandering battery life since it takes more power to start iPhone apps from scratch than it does for the operating system to resume them from the background and suspended state. This is sometimes the case.Let’s Look At The Numbers Because CPU time directly impacts battery life, developers frequently utilize it to determine how much effort an iPhone has expended to complete tasks. I measured the impact of many apps on my iPhone's CPU using Instruments, an Apple developer tool.As an example, consider the Facebook app: - The Facebook app takes roughly 3.3 seconds to start up from a stopped state. - Closing an app removes it from memory, puts it in the not-running state, and takes only a fraction of a second on the CPU – let's say.1 second. - The Facebook app is put into the background when you press the Home button, and it takes about.6 seconds of CPU time. - The Facebook app takes about.3 seconds to resume from the background state. As a result, it takes 6.7 seconds to launch the Facebook app from the not running state (3.3), close it (.1), and open it again from the not running state (3.3). It only takes 4.1 seconds of CPU time to start the Facebook app from the not running state, push the home button to send it to the background state (.6), and resume it from the background state (.3).Wow! In this example, shutting and reopening the Facebook program takes 2.6 seconds of CPU time. You've saved roughly 39% of your battery life by leaving the Facebook app active! And The Winner Is… Not so quickly! To gain a more realistic understanding of the situation, we need to look at the big picture. Putting Power Usage In Perspective 39 percent sounds like a lot, and it is until you consider how insignificant the amount of power we're talking about is compared to the amount of electricity required to utilize your iPhone. The case for not closing your apps sounds wonderful until you learn it's based on a meaningless statistic.Leaving the Facebook app open rather than closing it saves 2.6 seconds of CPU time. But, when you use the Facebook app, how much power does it consume?I used the program for 10 seconds of CPU time to browse through my newsfeed or 1 second of CPU consumption per second. I would have spent 300 seconds of CPU time after 5 minutes of using the Facebook app.To put it another way, I'd have to open and close the Facebook app 115 times to get the same amount of battery life as 5 minutes of use. This entails the following:But that's not the only reason why you should close your apps. Now let's go on... Slow And Steady CPU Burn In Background Mode Even when your iPhone is napping in your pocket, an app in background mode continues to eat battery power. This happens even when Background App Refresh is switched off, according to my tests of the Facebook app.Even though the iPhone was turned off, the Facebook app continued to use the CPU after I closed it. It had used throughout the course of one minute. Additional CPU time of 9 seconds. Leaving the Facebook app open for three minutes would consume more electricity than closing it immediately. The moral of the story is not to close an app every time you use it if you use it every few minutes. It's good to close the app if you don't use it very often. Many programs transition from background mode to suspended mode right away, and apps in suspended mode don't use any power. However, because there's no way of knowing which apps are running in the background, it's good to close them altogether. Remember that the power required to start an app from scratch pales in contrast to the power required to use it. Software Problems Happen All The Time Apps on iPhone crash more frequently than you might think. The majority of software crashes are mild and have no visible consequences. It's something you've probably observed before:When the screen suddenly blinks, you're using an app, and you're taken back to the Home screen. When apps crash, this is what occurs. In Settings -> Privacy -> Diagnostics & Usage -> Diagnostic and Usage Data, you can also see the crash logs. Most software crashes are unimportant, especially if you close your apps. Often, an app with a software issue just needs to be relaunched from the ground up. An Example Of A Common Software Problem It's lunchtime, and you've noticed that your iPhone's battery has depleted to 60%. You checked your email, listened to music, sighed over your bank account balance, watched a TED lecture, scrolled through Facebook, wrote a Tweet, and looked up the score from last night's basketball game while eating breakfast. Fixing A Crashing App You recall that a crashing program might cause your battery to deplete quickly and that stopping the app can solve the problem, but you're not sure which app is to blame. Even if I'm not using my iPhone, the TED app consumes CPU in this situation (and this is true). You have two options for resolving the issue: - Connect your PC to a Mac, download and install Xcode and Instruments, build up a custom test to investigate the individual processes running on your iPhone, arrange them by CPU utilization, and shut the app that's keeping your CPU cranked up to 100%. - Shut down your apps.Option 2 is my default setting, and I'm a geek. (I used option 1 to acquire information for this article.) Reopening your apps from the not running state consumes more power than opening them from the background or suspended state, but the difference is insignificant compared to the massive power loss that occurs when an app fails. Why I Believe Closing Out Your Apps Is A Good Idea - Even if you close your apps every time you use them, you won't notice a change in battery life because the power required to start an app is negligible compared to the power required to utilize it. - When you're not using your iPhone, apps that stay in background mode consume power, which builds up over time. - Closing apps is an excellent approach to avoiding significant software issues that can cause your iPhone battery to drop fast.Close Out This Article This essay is a little longer than normal, but I hope you found it interesting and learned something new about how applications work on your iPhone. I close out my apps several times a day to keep my iPhone working as efficiently as possible. I can confidently say that closing out your apps is a good technique to save iPhone battery life based on the testing and my first-hand experience working with hundreds of iPhones as an Apple engineer. Conclusion I hope you found this guide useful. If you’ve got any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to use the shape below. User Questions 1. Is it ever a good idea to close apps on an iPhone? In fact, forcing an app to close on your iPhone slows down your app experience and consumes more battery life. When you reopen an app after it has been entirely closed, it must relaunch and reload all of its resources.2. Is it better to close or leave apps open on an iPhone? In the App Switcher, you shouldn't swipe away all apps. This hinders iOS from functioning properly, consumes battery life by forcing apps to reload without cause, and makes switching between apps more difficult. You should cease doing it because Apple has repeatedly emphasised that it is unneeded.3. Is it true that dismissing apps on the iPhone saves battery life?Close background programs do not conserve battery life. People conflate 'open in the background' with 'running,' which is why this misconception about stopping background programs exists. When your apps are running in the background, they are in a condition where relaunching them is simple.4. Do you leave your apps on open or do you close them? - Reddithttps://www.reddit.com/r/iphone/comments/czb6d1/do_you_leave_your_apps_on_open_or_do_you_close/5. Is Closing iPhone Apps A Bad Idea? How Do I Retrieve Deleted Email On My iPhone? The Fix!
Here we can see, “How Do I Retrieve Deleted Email On My iPhone? The Fix!”It's challenging to keep up with email. It's all too easy to make a mistake like mistakenly deleting that critical email from your boss (or your spouse!) when managing multiple email accounts on your iPhone, Mac, and other devices. In this article, I'll teach you how to recover lost emails on your iPhone in just a few simple steps—as long as it's possible. Where Does Deleted Email Go? When trying to touch the Reply button, several users report mistakenly hitting the "Trash" bucket, placed in the bottom centre of the email menu. From personal experience, I can tell you that it's a simple error to make. The good news is that when you "delete" an email in the Mail app, it's only relocated to a different location, not permanently deleted. It's almost as though Apple anticipates you need to retrieve deleted email at some point in the future, so they preserve it for you. What happens to it? It depends on how your Mail settings are set up, but deleted emails can be recovered from the Trash bin in most circumstances. How To Retrieve Deleted Mail On iPhone When you first launch the Mail app, you won't see a list of all the Inboxes and mail accounts you manage on your iPhone, but that's where we'll start. To access the list, hit the blue back button in the upper left-hand corner of the mail app until you reach the bottom of the list. You're looking for something similar to this:Whether it's Gmail, Yahoo!, or a Microsoft Exchange account associated with your business email, you may access the Mail folders for all email accounts you've linked to your iPhone. To retrieve deleted emails, open the full account view by tapping on the appropriate Account folder (Gmail, Yahoo!, etc.) situated at the bottom of the screen (not the Inbox). Here you'll locate the "Trash" folder where your message has been temporarily stored. It's likely that once you're in the Trash folder, finding the message you're looking for will be tough. The good news is that the Search box at the top of the page is excellent at assisting you in locating the message you require - input a few characters of the sender's name or a word from the subject or body of the email, and all relevant messages will show. If you know the date the deleted email was sent, you can also search by date.Once you've found the email you want, go to the top right of the screen and select Edit. Select the message(s) you want to recover with a checkbox and then tap Move. The deleted email(s) will be moved back to your Inbox or any of its subfolders. Keeping Email Organized On Your iPhone Hopefully, you've been able to recover all of the important emails that you believed were lost forever. Think twice before deleting an email to avoid losing it in the future. Because most mail servers these days provide plenty of storage, you're better off saving an email in your Inbox for future reference if you think you'll need to refer to it.However, if you accidentally delete a communication you later require, you know that all is not lost. These step-by-step instructions will show you how to recover deleted emails.I hope this information was helpful; I'd be interested in hearing how these methods helped you recover deleted emails on your iPhone, particularly those important messages you believed were lost forever. Leave a comment if you have any helpful advice for fellow readers on managing and keeping a well-organized Inbox in this age of information and email overload! Your suggestions are welcomed and greatly valued. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Conclusion I hope you found this guide useful. If you’ve got any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to use the shape below. User Questions 1. How can I access my deleted emails in the app?You can get it back by reinstalling it from the App Store or heading to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Home Screen, which will restore the app's original layout. You'll have to go into your email again in either case, so I'd go with the first option.2. What's the best way to get my emails back into my inbox?Right-click the emails, select "Move To," and then send them to your Inbox or another folder. You may also automatically use the "Restore" button to send them to your Inbox.3. How can I get my iPhone's permanently erased emails back? - Tap the mail account's "Trash" folder. - If you didn't archive your emails, all of your deleted emails should be here. - Recover the deleted messages. - By tapping the mail, you can restore it. - To access the Move screen, tap the second icon from the left.4. Here we can see, “How Do I Automatically Add Emojis In iPhone Messages? It’s Easy!”Emojis are those cute little smiley faces, hearts, stars, food, drinks, animals, and other icons that you can use in place of words on your iPhone. You probably know what they are, but just in case you don't: Emojis are those cute little smiley faces, hearts, stars, food, drinks, animals, and other icons that you can use in place of words on your iPhone. The brand new Emoji Replacement feature for iMessage makes adding emojis easier and faster than ever before, and in this article, I'll show you how to utilize emoji replacement in iOS 10 and how to add emojis to your text messages on your iPhone automatically. Before We Begin, Make Sure Emojis Are Turned On If you haven't already done so, you'll want to download the Emoji Keyboard to your iPhone before continuing. How Do I Set Up Emojis On My iPhone? - Go to the Settings menu. - Select General. - Activate the Keyboard - Keyboards are tapped. - Select Add New Keyboard... - Emoji can be tapped. The Emoji Keyboard will now be available on your smartphone for usage in iMessage, Notes, Facebook, and other apps. To use the Emoji Keyboard, go to the bottom left of your keyboard and hit the keyboard selector, which is that small world sign. You'll see all of the emojis available on your iPhone, and tapping the ABC in the bottom left of the emoji keyboard will take you back to the conventional keyboard. How Do I Automatically Replace Text With Emojis On My iPhone? - In the Messages app, type your message text. - To open the Emoji keyboard, tap the Globe or Smiley face icons on the left side of the space bar. - The words that can be replaced will have an orange highlight. - Replace each highlighted word with an emoji by tapping on it.Emoji Replacement In Action: How To Use The New iOS 10 Feature You can see if there are any emojis to substitute words in your text after you type it into iMessage. Open the Emoji Keyboard, and iMessage will tint any words with possible emojis orange. You may then tap on each phrase to get a list of emojis that can be used to substitute that word! It's simple to use and allows you to add emojis to each communication rapidly. If a word has many emoji options, a little bubble with the available emojis will appear, and you can choose the best one for your message. When you tap on a term with only one emoji option, it will be replaced with that emoji right away. If you put in the word hearts, you will only be given one option; however, if you type in the word heart, you will be given numerous options, indicating that punctuation and grammar impact which emojis iMessage will provide you! When you're done with emoji replacement, all of the words you tapped and replaced will be replaced with emojis, and your message will be ready to send, complete with hilarious emojis! You can use emojis to replace words and even complete sentences if you apply your imagination. Quickly Inserting Emojis Using Predictive Text Predictive text can now be used to insert emojis without switching keyboards. This means you won't have to leave the ABC keyboard to insert emojis when texting. Check that the predictive text box is turned on. Make sure the Predictive button is toggled on by holding down the keyboard selector (that small world symbol again) (green)You won't have to change the keyboard if you type a term that can be replaced with an emoji because it will display in recommendations. Predictive text will provide you with a possible emoji to use instead of a word as you type it; for example, for money, it showed me a money bag emoji. This method of inserting emojis allows you to text both words and emoticons quickly, but it is limited because you can only view one emoji option rather than all of them. The iPhone Messages App: New and Improved In iOS 10 The iPhone Messages app has some interesting new tricks up its sleeve, with the new emoji replacement feature and several other new features we described in previous articles. I beta-tested iOS 10, and it took me a bit to figure out all of the exciting new iMessage capabilities. Now that iOS 10 is accessible to the general public, look at what you can do with Messages on your iPhone. Conclusion I hope you found this guide useful. If you’ve got any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to use the shape below. User Questions 1. How can I make my Emojis appear automatically on my iPhone?Go to "General" in the Settings menu. Then tap "Keyboard" on the bottom of the screen. If it isn't already turned on, go down to the bottom of the Keyboard options and toggle "Predictive".2. When I text on my iPhone, why don't Emojis appear?Tap on Keyboards, then Add New Keyboard, then Emoji. To use the Predictive function, follow these steps: Turn on the Switch next to Predictive under Settings General Keyboard.3. When I text, why don't my Emojis appear?Distinct manufacturers may also provide a font different from the standard Android font. Emoji will also be hidden if the typeface on your device has been changed to something other than the Android system font. The problem is with the font itself, not with Microsoft SwiftKey.4. How To: Reset & Restore your Apple iPhone 12
Here we can see,"How To Reset & Restore your Apple iPhone 12" I'm going to be showing you how to completely reset your iPhone 12 back to factory condition. So if it's freezing up and it's not working properly and you just want to delete everything off your phone, or if you have a password and you can't get into it, you'll be able to completely reset your iPhone 12 back to factory conditions so that you can start using it normally again. Alright, I'm going to show you two ways to do it first. I'll show Go to the settings. Then I'm going to show you this password lock screen so you can reset it both ways. All right, let's jump right in. All right. So first off, I'm going to walk you through the settings. If you can get into your iPhone 12, all you have to do is go to settings here and settings. You're going to go to "General" and scroll all the way down and towards the bottom. You will see the reset option down here. You're going to select. It's going to be the second option, which says "erase all content and settings." So select that. It's going to ask you to put in your password if you have one on your iPhone, so press it in. And once you type in your password, it's going to ask you to confirm, and once you do, the reset process will begin. So make sure that you do back up anything that you do want to keep, because once you do this, everything on your iPhone will be deleted and erased. So once you're ready, go ahead and hit "Erase iPhone" and the reset process will begin. Okay, so I'm going to show you. The other way to factory reset it is to hard reset, which is useful if you have a password and can't get into the phone. All right. So what you're going to have to do is connect your iPhone to your computer, either your Windows or Mac PC, with iTunes. So, I have the cable right here. This is what I'm going to connect it to. Okay, so here you go. Here. I have my iPhone connected to my computer with iTunes. Once it's connected, we're going to hold volume down and the power/lock button until we get to the power off menu. So there you go. As you can see, it says, "slide to power off." So we're going to go ahead and slide the power off. And as soon as we slide to power off, we're going to press and hold. Once again, volume down and power/lock button. So let's do that. Now, just like that, power off and press and hold the lock button and the volume down button and continue holding them both. Once you see the connect to the computer screen pop-up, you can let go. This is the restore mode of the iPhone. And as you can see here on the computer, we are going to get this message that says there's a problem with the iPhone. I'm so here. All you have to do is just select "update or restore" for either one. I'm going to go ahead and hit update. It says your iPhone can be updated. You will need to restore it to factory settings. So we're going to go ahead and select "update here." And then we're going to get this agreement. We're going to go ahead and hit next and then hear hit. I agree. And as you can see, it says your Mac is downloading a software update for this iPhone and it will install it when the download is complete. So, after a couple minutes, your iPhone will change to this. Once the software is completely downloaded, On your iTunes screen, the message is going to change, and it's going to say that your Mac is now preparing to update the software on this iPhone. So now all we have to do is wait until the iPhone's bar completely loads up to the end, and the reset process should be complete. All right, so let's continue. So there we go. After a few minutes, you're going to get this message on your iTunes that your iPhone has been restored to factory settings and is restarting, and the loading bar might begin once again, so just wait till it. It completely goes all the way through for the iPhone to restart, and there you go. After the loading bar goes all the way through, It will take you to this screen, which is the initial setup of the iPhone twelve. So, once you see this, you can go ahead and disconnect it from iTunes. And then here, all you've got to do is just go through the settings here. Set your iPhone at 12. Alright everyone. So that is how you completely reset, also known as a factory reset or a hard reset, your Apple iPhone 12. I hope this Content helped you out. If it did, go ahead and give it a like. We're going to go ahead and hit next and then hear hit. I agree. And as you can see, it says your Mac is downloading a software update for this iPhone and it will install it when the download is complete. So, after a couple minutes, your iPhone will change to this. Once the software is completely downloaded. Conclusion I hope you found this guide useful. Getting Windows Ready. Don’t Turn Off Your Pc
Here we can see, "Getting Windows Ready. Don’t Turn Off Your Pc" - When you're having trouble getting Windows ready, wait a couple of hours before turning off your computer screen. - After doing updates or restarting a computer, it becomes stuck on Getting Windows ready. - The system troubleshooters are unavailable while Windows 10 is stuck on Getting Windows ready. - So one of the few options you may try is a Startup Repair or a clean install. With each new operating system release, the Windows installation process grows easier. Most of us recall the arduous XP installation process, with all the hullabaloo about drivers and early setup. That isn't the case with Windows 10, thankfully. However, there's a valid reason why people dislike too simple installation procedures. To begin, the majority of your drivers are installed automatically during setup.Second, there's a chance that anything will go wrong during the installation. And if that happens, you might as well go back to Windows 7 or even Windows XP.One of the issues that many customers have encountered is that the screen becomes stuck on the following message: Windows is being prepared. Do not turn your PC off.The expected wait time is around 5 minutes. On the other hand, some users have been waiting for a long time. There are a variety of issues that might arise with Windows updates, and we'll focus on the following topics in this article: - Getting Windows ready infinite loop/ update loop/ boot loop/ restarting loop - Many users have claimed that they cannot use Windows due to a restart cycle. - Getting Windows ready after a restart — An incomplete update most likely causes this problem, and Windows will try to complete it every time you restart your computer. - Getting Windows ready to work on updates is a variant of the message that generally comes after a significant Windows update. Try some of the solutions in this article to resolve the problem. - Getting Windows ready stuck after an update – This problem might occur after an update has been installed in some situations. This message can display if the installation process isn't completed. However, because you cannot access your system and undertake to troubleshoot, it is difficult to resolve this problem. Below are various workarounds that you can attempt. How do I get Windows 10 to stop freezing? Are you getting ready for Windows? 1. Turn off your computer completely After some time has passed, you should shut down your computer completely. Keep in mind that this isn't as risky as some may believe. Although the procedure may be completed after some time, the screen will remain idle.Looking at the HDD activity lamp is the easiest way to figure out when it's time for a hard restart/shutdown. If the lamp isn't flashing, the procedure is complete, and you should shut down your computer. You should be set to go if the system starts up as expected. If this isn't the case, your only choice is to start over with the reinstallation process. However, we recommend that you complete a clean reinstall this time. After this type of failure, there's a good chance your system won't work as it should. 2. Carry out a startup troubleshooting procedure - At the same time, hold down the Shift key and push the Power button. - While the machine is turning on, keep holding the Shift key. - You'll see a menu with a few options when the computer restarts. Select Troubleshoot from the drop-down menu. - Select Advanced settings from the menu. - Select Startup Repair from the Advanced options menu. - Select an account on the Startup Repair screen. To continue, you'll need an account with Administrator rights. - Click Continue after you've entered your password. - Wait for the procedure to complete. - After that, restart your computer.3. Complete a fresh reinstallation You should be able to get started with a clean reinstallation. If you don't back up sensitive data from the system partition and don't have your license key handy, you'll be in big trouble.Furthermore, the reinstallation procedure is not as time-consuming, and you should be able to complete it in less than an hour, including driver updates and system customization. To execute a clean installation of Windows 10, you'll need to use the Discs Creation Tool to build Windows 10 installation media. Because you can't access your computer, you'll need to build installation media on a different computer. After that, you must take the following steps: - Connect your PC to the Windows 10 installation disk and boot from it. Keep in mind that in order to boot from Windows 10 installation disk, you may need to hit the appropriate key or alter your boot priority in BIOS. - Select the language you want to use and then click Next. - Click Install Now and follow the on-screen instructions. Remember that a clean install will delete all contents from the specified drive, so make a backup of any vital files before proceeding. In order to execute a clean install, you must also select the correct drive. If you choose the wrong disk by accident, you'll lose all of the files on that drive, so be cautious. The issue should be totally resolved once the setup process is completed. To do so, do the following steps: - Continue with Steps 1 and 2 from the previous section. - Now select Repair your machine from the drop-down menu. - Select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Remove Everything from the Troubleshoot menu. - Choose Only the drive where Windows is installed > Just erase my stuff after selecting your Windows installation. - To begin resetting your Windows 10 installation, select the Reset button. You can use either the reset or clean install techniques to wipe all files from your system disk and reinstall Windows 10, so choose one. 4. Remove any software that was recently installed We might have uncovered the culprit if your Windows update process went smoothly before installing specific applications on your PC. If the software solutions aren't totally compatible with the latest Windows 10 OS version, you can get update issues. So, before you install any software on your computer, be sure it's compatible with your operating system. Conclusion I hope you found this guide useful. If you’ve got any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to use the shape below. User Questions: 1. How long should it take to have Windows ready to not switch off the computer?Waiting patiently for roughly 2-3 hours is usually suggested. If getting Windows ready is still stuck after the time limit has expired, stop waiting and proceed to the troubleshooting procedures.2. Is it possible to turn off the computer when it is making Windows ready?Don't turn off your computer if you find yourself in a position where the system is stuck installing updates. Microsoft always recommended that you wait while Windows upgrades your PC. It's possible that your system will take some time to complete these tasks.3. What if my PC is unable to install Windows? If your PC is stuck at the "Getting Windows ready" screen after you've produced a System Restore point or a system image backup with Windows' repair tools, try utilizing the restore point to get it back to normal. The Microsoft Media Creation Tool is available for download on their website.4. Use Find My iPhone To Track A Child: A Parent’s Secret Spy Tool
Here we can see, “Use Find My iPhone To Track A Child: A Parent’s Secret Spy Tool”You've probably seen or heard of the Find iPhone app if you have an iPhone. You may already know its capabilities, but why would you need to use it? It's not like you haven't been able to locate your own iPhone. Here's when things get interesting: If your iPhone is lost or misplaced, Find My iPhone can help you locate it. As long as you're signed into iCloud on that device, this covers your iPod, iPad, and Mac.However, did you realize that Find My iPhone can also be used as a parental monitoring tool? In this article, I'll show you how to use Find My iPhone to track a youngster and some other cool things you can do with the app. Track Your Child’s iPhone With A GPS Locator This is one of the advantages of owning an Apple iPhone for the entire family. To keep track of your children's iPhones, add them to your Apple ID. If you want even more control, sign into iCloud with the parent's Apple ID while setting up their device. You can use Find My iPhone to locate their smartphone, and they won't be able to check out without your password. If your children are older, you can give them their own Apple ID and let them check in on their own, but make sure they understand that they cannot sign out or turn off Find iPhone.Using The Find Friends App To Track Your Kids Find Friends is another software that displays a GPS position and works both ways, so your children can see where you are. Find Friends is also helpful, but I prefer to Find My iPhone because it is safer and has additional features. iPhone Location Ping: A Great Way To Find A Lost iPhone Have you ever left your phone down someplace in the house—or even in a store—and then been unable to locate it? You have no idea where you last had it or what you were doing with it. You ask a friend or family member to call your phone, only to discover it was set to quiet. If you haven't enabled Find My iPhone, you may skip this section. If you've lost your iPhone, you can use Find My iPhone to locate it, even if it's in silent mode. The Play Sound option in the Find iPhone app appears when you select a device to locate. If you choose Play Sound, your iPhone will be pinged and generate a repetitive pinging sound that will play regardless of how loud your level is set. This is useful for locating your iPhone, whether it's misplaced in the laundry or beneath the bed—I've even heard of people finding their phones in the refrigerator. How To Make Your Kids Answer The Phone Okay, I'll say it: I'm a dirty player as a parent. I go to great lengths to keep my children honest, and I enforce strict regulations. When my adolescent daughter is not at home, she must promptly return my calls and texts, preferably within a few minutes. The only exception is when she is at school because I know she is not allowed to use her phone there. However, I don't bother calling her during those times, so it's not a big deal. When I call my daughter many times, and it goes straight to voicemail, I use my last parental trick, Find My iPhone. I send a ping to her phone and use Find My iPhone to turn off her iPhone, even if it's on mute. I sometimes have to rush her home or wait for her to respond. Of course, my daughter despises this, but I'm a devious parent, and I'll use Find My iPhone as a parent spy tool till she graduates from high school. What If You Don’t Have Another iPhone, iPad, or iPod Handy? This isn't a problem in the least. You may access Find iPhone via iCloud.com as long as you have an internet connection, a computer, or even another smartphone. It will show you your phone's GPS location and allow you to Play Sound to help you find it, just like the Find iPhone app on your iPhone. All you have to do is sign in with your Apple ID, turn on Find iPhone in Settings -> iCloud on the device, and make sure it's turned on and connected to the internet. Although this isn't usually an issue with iPhones, iPods and Wi-Fi-only iPads may not be able to connect to the internet. Use Your Secret Spy Tricks On Your Kids You may now use your new parent spy tactics to track down your children, find your missing iPhone concealed in the house, and force your children to answer their phones—or you'll keep pinging it until they do. Become a Find My iPhone ninja today. Oh, and you can also use Find iPhone in the way Apple intended, so it's a whole parent win. Conclusion I hope you found this guide useful. If you’ve got any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to use the shape below. User Questions 1. How can I use my iPhone to track someone's whereabouts without them knowing?iCloud is the most convenient way to keep an eye on someone else's iPhone. Although you can't access their entire internet history, iCloud allows you to find a device on a map, lock the screen, play a sound, and delete all their data.2. Is it possible to remotely install spyware on an iPhone?Spyware can be installed remotely without physically connecting the target phone, using merely the phone number. When the target device is, say, an iPhone. Telenitrox is one of the few surveillance programs installed on Android and iPhone devices remotely.3. How can I secretly monitor my child's iPhone? On the target phone, enable the "Find My Friends" option. For all of your devices, iCloud includes sharing possibilities. Simply double-check that the sharing option has "This device" selected as the target device.4. Spam On My iPhone: Stop Spam iMessages And Texts!
Here we can see, “Spam On My iPhone: Stop Spam iMessages And Texts!”It started with a letter, then phone calls, and now it's on your iPhone: Spam iMessages and text messages appear regularly. Spam is inconvenient, but it can also be dangerous. The websites that spam iMessages and texts connect to are meant to either earn the spammer a commission on a transaction or, more commonly, to steal the recipient's credit card number and other personal information. In this article, I'll teach you how to spot iMessage spam (it's not always easy) and how to stop receiving spam iMessages and messages on your iPhone by looking at a real-world scenario. The Spammer’s Formula Spammers have been using a tried-and-true formula for years, and people still fall for it daily. There's a terrific price on something, but it's only available for a limited time, so act quickly! There's generally a link to a website where you can receive the discount, and the link appears to be genuine. That's how they get you, though. Spammers will try anything to persuade you to click on that link. Recognizing Spam Is Harder Than It Used To Be Verification by Google Text We used to exclusively receive text messages from our relatives and friends a few years ago. We now receive texts from businesses as well. Text messages are used by Facebook, Twitter, Apple, Google, and other companies to authenticate your identity and deliver you updates. McDonald's holds contests where users text an entry code to a phone number and wait for a text answer to see if they've won. Rules To Keep You Safe It's more difficult to distinguish between real and spam iMessages and texts. Here are a few pointers that I find useful: - If you don't recognize the sender, never open a link inside an iMessage or SMS message. It's perfectly acceptable to click on links supplied to us by relatives and friends as long as they don't appear malicious. If you've already done so, I'll describe what you should do in the next section of this post. - The only company that will send you iMessages is Apple. It's spam if you get an iMessage from any other firm. Apple's messaging program, iMessage, is only compatible with Apple gadgets. Look in the box where you put your reply at the bottom of the screen if you're unsure whether the message you got is an iMessage or a conventional text message. Depending on the message you received, that box will say iMessage or Text Message. An Awesome Example Of iMessage Spam After receiving a spam iMessage from "Michael Kors," my friend Nick recommended I write an article about iPhone spam. I recognized how good spammers had grown in the last few years when I watched it, so I decided to follow his suggestion. We'll look at a real-world example of iPhone spam using Nick's iMessage. What The Spammer Does Well The letter is visually appealing, and it makes use of emojis to distract the reader from the sender's email address, which is the clearest sign its spam. iMessages sent to email addresses, on the other hand, aren't always spam. It's legal for iPods and iPads that don't have phone numbers associated with their Apple IDs to send iMessages from their email addresses. The spammer gives a lot of information. After all, why would a spammer go to such lengths to specify the amount of savings and discounts available when purchasing many items? It's distracting, and the extra information lends credibility to the message. The Website Website addresses similar to legitimate company names (also known as domain names) are among the most successful tactics spammers use to fool customers into handing up their credit card information. www.mk-online-outlets-usa.com (not a link because you shouldn't go there) poses as a Michael Kors outlet site in this case. It's important to remember that anyone can register a domain name, even if it's for a business. Right now, you can register michaelkorschristmasdeals.com for $12. You Can Tell Which Website Is Fake, Right? I went to the spammer's website and was pleasantly pleased by what I saw: a well-designed, functional site that made me pause for a moment and consider, "Perhaps I was wrong about this." Until I went back to do some more research.Every domain name (including payetteforward.com) is registered in the WHOIS database, which is accessible worldwide. This database is open to the public and contains information on who owns a domain name and where it was registered. Although the websites are difficult to distinguish by looking at them, let's look at the WHOIS records for michaelkors.com and mk-online-outlets-usa.com (click to see the WHOIS records, not the spammer's website)."Michael Kors, LLC" is the owner of michaelkors.com, and "NETWORK SOLUTIONS, LLC" registered the domain. "yiyi zhang" is identified as the owner; of mk-online-outlets-usa.com, and the domain was registered by "HICHINA ZHICHENG TECHNOLOGY LTD." Looking at the WHOIS records for mk-online-outlets-usa.com, it's clear that this isn't a legitimate website. I Already Clicked On A Link. What Do I Do? If you've already clicked on a spam link, I recommend deleting all website data from your iPhone. This will not remove your bookmarks; instead, it will clear your browser history and the little files (known as cookies) that record data for websites. When you remove website data from your iPhone, you're severing all ties between your iPhone and the website you viewed. To clear your history and website data, go to Settings -> Safari, scroll to the bottom, and touch Clear History and Website Data.Even if you've already clicked on a link, you should be fine as long as you haven't entered any personal information. If you purchased something after clicking on a link in a spam iMessage or text, I strongly advise you to contact your credit card company immediately. How Do I Stop Getting Spam On My iPhone? 1. Report Spam To Apple Report a faulty iPhone Spam on iMessage. Your iPhone will display "This sender is not in your contact list" whenever you get a message from an email address or phone number that isn't in your contact list. Underneath the message, there's a link that says "Report Junk." To erase the message from your iPhone and email it to Apple, tap the blue lettering that says Report Junk. 2. Filter Unknown Senders Did you know that the Messages app may be divided into two sections: Contacts & SMS and Unknown Senders? It's a simple and effective approach to distinguish between legitimate iMessages and SMS and potential spam. Toggle the option to the right of Filter Unknown Senders in Settings -> Messages to enable it. 3. Block Numbers and Email Addresses Blocking a spammer's email address or phone number ensures that you will never hear from them again. When you block a contact on your iPhone, all communication from that person's phone number and email address is blocked, including calls, iMessages, text messages, and FaceTime. Because phone calls, iMessages, and text messages are all stopped in the same way, my post on blocking unwanted calls on an iPhone shows how to accomplish so. No More Spam! (At Least For Now…) Spammers are constantly coming up with new techniques to deceive consumers. The spam we're getting on our iPhones via iMessage and SMS messages is simply the newest tactic used by spammers. If I had one piece of advice for dealing with iPhone spam, it would be simply to be cautious. If an offer seems too good to be true, trust your instincts. We discussed the tactics spammers employ to make their iMessages appear real in this article and the measures you can take to stop receiving spam on your iPhone. I'd want to hear about your experiences with spam on your iPhone in the comments box below. Conclusion I hope you found this guide useful. If you’ve got any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to use the shape below. User Questions: 1. On my iPhone, how do I stop Imessage spam? - On your iPhone, go to Settings. - Select Messages. - The "Filter Unknown Senders" option is "Message Filtering."2. How can I block spam texts from appearing in my Imessage inbox?Locate the text you want to block in your messaging app. Then, tap the three-dot icon in the top-right corner of the screen. Then confirm by tapping the Block number option (or selecting Block contact).3. Why am I now receiving spam SMS on my iPhone? Those who send you spam text messages are most likely attempting to swindle you. The majority of spam text messages do not originate from another phone. They're usually sent from a computer and delivered to your phone via an email address or an instant messaging account at no cost to the sender.4.How to Block Spam Texts on iPhone : r/phishing - Reddithttps://www.reddit.com/r/phishing/comments/lm4x31/how_to_block_spam_texts_on_iphone/5.How can I block spam SMS messages that don't have - Reddithttps://www.reddit.com/r/ios/comments/qb8521/how_can_i_block_spam_sms_messages_that_dont_have/ Read the full article

Why Is My iPhone Asking For The Wrong Apple ID? Here’s The Fix!
Here we can see, “Why Is My iPhone Asking For The Wrong Apple ID? Here’s The Fix!”When you're setting up your new iPhone or restoring from a backup, your iPhone starts asking for passwords for other people's Apple IDs. Why are these Apple IDs popping up on your iPhone when you have no idea who they belong to? I'll explain why other people's Apple IDs appear on your iPhone and how to prevent your iPhone from asking for the erroneous Apple ID in this article. Why Is My iPhone Asking For Passwords For Apple IDs I Don’t Recognize? When apps, songs, movies, TV series, or books were purchased with someone else's Apple ID, your iPhone will prompt you for the erroneous Apple ID and password. As part of the Apple authorisation process, your iPhone will ask for your Apple ID and password. In other words, you have purchased products on your iPhone that are linked to that person's Apple ID, and you won't be able to access them unless that person gives you permission. How Do I Know Which Apps, Music, Movies, TV Shows, and Books Have Been Purchased With Someone Else’s Apple ID? Unfortunately, there isn't a simple way to see which goods are associated with which Apple IDs. If an app won't download or a song, movie, or TV show won't play, it's probably because it's linked to another Apple ID. To be able to download it, you'll need that person's password. How To Stop Your iPhone From Asking For The Wrong Apple ID Suppose you've recently restored your iPhone and are being solicited for Apple ID passwords from people you don't know. In that case, it's generally quicker to set up your iPhone as new rather than going through and weeding out every purchase that wasn't done using your Apple ID. Starting over may sound dramatic, but it might save you a lot of grief.Go to Settings -> General -> Reset and select 'Erase All Content and Settings to reset your iPhone to factory settings.Instead of restoring from an iCloud or iTunes backup, select to set up your iPhone as fresh after reboot. Make sure you use your personal Apple ID for all purchases. How To Share Your Apps, Music, Movies, TV Shows, and Books With iOS 8, Apple added a new feature called Family Sharing, which allows up to six people to share purchases made on iTunes, the App Store, and iBooks. On Apple's website, they have a section dedicated to Family Sharing, and the article "Start or join a family group with Family Sharing" is a beautiful place to start.Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and I eagerly await your questions and comments in the section below. I'll do everything I can to assist you along the road. Conclusion I hope you found this guide useful. If you’ve got any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to use the shape below. User Questions 1. How do I get my iPhone to stop requesting the incorrect Apple ID?To prevent the iPhone from prompting me to input an erroneous Apple ID in the future, make sure the ID that's causing the issue is removed. Simply go to the Settings menu. After that, go to User Avatar > Sign Out. Finally, you must log in using your Apple ID and password.2. Why is my Apple Watch requesting the Apple ID of someone else? It's most likely trying to update apps from an old Apple ID. You'll have to remove them and then re-create them using your new Apple ID. Turn off Automatic App Install in Settings/General.3. Is it possible to use an iPhone without having an Apple ID?He won't be able to download apps or utilize Facetime or iMessage without an Apple ID. If you ask me, that kind of negates the purpose of having an iPhone. He could still make and receive calls and use the web, but he could do it for less money with a simple phone. Setting up an Apple ID takes only five minutes.4. Stop In-App Purchases: When Kids Go On iPhone, iPad, and iPod Spending Sprees
Here we can see, “Stop In-App Purchases: When Kids Go On iPhone, iPad, and iPod Spending Sprees”It's every parent's worst nightmare: your child makes an unintentional purchase on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod, and you're stuck with the cost. I'll explain why iTunes and App Store transactions mount up so quickly in this article and how to disable In-App Purchases on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod. How In-App Purchases Add Up Quickly: Time To Pay the Piper Have you heard about the youngster who spent hundreds of dollars on his parents' iTunes account in just a few hours? That's exactly what occurred. For parents, iTunes has one major flaw: charges don't always go through immediately; it can take days to complete a purchase. Personally, I've seen it take up to a week to complete. While you can't make an initial purchase on your iTunes account with a bank account that has a zero or negative balance, you can charge more than what's available for subsequent purchases. This implies that the purchases might quickly build-up, and the transaction will (of course) bounce once it reaches the bank. Here's an interesting tidbit for you: Did you know that you may have a negative balance on your iTunes account? If a transaction fails to clear for some reason, it will appear as a negative balance, and your iTunes store account will be locked while the balance is outstanding. This means you won't be able to make any new purchases, including free ones or even update apps. Here’s A True Story For You, About My Sister This happened to my sister on a tiny scale, yet it still cost her $46.93. She didn't think anything of spending $0.99 on a minor In-App purchase for her daughter on her phone, but she didn't have restrictions in place. Her daughter was at home with her stepfather, happily playing Hello Kitty Cafe, so she walked to the coffee shop to have a quick drink. While my sister was out, she began receiving email warnings regarding a series of purchases, the most recent of which was for $19.99. "Put it down right now!" my sister yelled to her daughter as she dashed home.Although this occurred in the Google Play Store, the lesson applies to both iPhone and Android: Put those limitations in place, or you'll suffer the price physically. How It Happens: You’re Free To Do Whatever You Want; No Restrictions! You can turn off all Restrictions if you don't have children or aren't concerned about purchases, which means your device won't ask you if you're sure you want to buy something and won't require you to enter your iTunes password every time.If you don't set up Restrictions, your smartphone will let you buy new Apps, Content, and In-App Purchases without any limitations. iTunes merely checks to see if your payment method is working, not how much money you have on hand. There is, however, some good news! Several iTunes Restrictions can be set on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to allow you to purchase and play safely. You’re On Lockdown: How To Stop In-App Purchases Using Restrictions On iPhone, iPad, and iPod On your gadget, restrictions are your new best buddy. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod, go to Settings -> General -> Restrictions to find restrictions. If you haven't enabled Restrictions yet, everything will be grayed out, and you'll need to Enable Restrictions first, then establish a passcode.Don't use the same passcode to lock and unlock your device if you're a parent! This is critical because if your children know your passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod, they may also disable Restrictions if the passcode is the same. When you enable Restrictions, you'll notice a succession of toggle switches, the last of which is In-App Purchases. Simply turn this switch off (the switch will no longer be green), and no In-App transactions will be permitted. To remove the restriction and make a purchase in an app, you must switch this option back on.You can make your device demand a password for every purchase if you don't want to eliminate the ability or are too lazy to walk back and forth. This will also prevent your children from making purchases if they do not have access to your iTunes password. To do so, go to the Restrictions menu and select Password Settings. This will take you to a new screen with two options: - Always Require - Require After 15 MinutesBecause I have young children and am concerned about security, I have mine set to Always Require. This implies that I must enter my iTunes Password for every purchase I make, whether it's an App, In-App purchases, content, or anything else that requires a download. The other option for Require After 15 Minutes requires you to enter your password once every 15 minutes; nevertheless, if you have children, this is still not a smart idea because they can make a lot of transactions in 15 minutes. This panel has one additional subsection, which is a Free Downloads switch. The toggle for Require Password is on (it's green) in my screenshot, which means I have to input my password for free transactions. You may turn this off, which means you won't have to provide a password for free purchases, in my opinion. This offers your children the freedom to download anything free, allowing them to try out new games or apps.Of course, you'll have to keep an eye on their smartphones for anything you don't want them to see, just to ensure their apps are appropriate for their age. Touch ID & Passcode: The iPhone Fingerprint Scanner Makes Purchases Easier One thing to keep in mind: if you have a Touch ID-enabled iPhone or iPad and have it set up for iTunes & App Store use, the Password Settings menu will not appear on the Restrictions screen. This is most likely owing to how simple it is to enter your password and make purchases with the touch of a finger, in my opinion. When Touch ID is turned on for iTunes and the App Store, you must enter your password every time you make a transaction, including in-app purchases. You'll have to enter your password the first time you purchase by restarting or updating your iPhone or iPad, and then it'll ask for your fingerprint for subsequent purchases. Congrats! No More Surprises For You! You've now learned yet another Mom's Technology Tips to add to your parenting toolkit. You may now safely give your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to your children by using these settings and Restrictions, and you won't have to worry about them making unexpected purchases. I've been using these settings for years and have never had an unwelcome purchase, so I share this knowledge with my fellow parents to offer them peace of mind regarding their Apple gadgets. Conclusion I hope you found this guide useful. If you’ve got any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to use the shape below. User Questions: 1. How can I disable in-app purchases on my iPad for kids? - Tap Turn on Screen Time after going to Settings > Screen Time. - Choose "This is My " or "This is My Child's " after tapping Continue - Select Content & Privacy Restrictions from the drop-down menu. - Select iTunes & App Store Purchases from the drop-down menu. - Set the Don't Allow option for In-app Purchases.2.
