So I couldn’t decide on one person so I just went with several of them in action and I am actually very satisified with this piece (even if it is not the best because my wrist was screaming STAHPp hahaha)

Needless to say I support them wholeheartedly, regardless of the results because yes, competitive sports is about winning medals but that’s not the entire point. Speaking from experience, albeit on a very modest scale, once you feel burdened to win, once you start losing joy out of sports, you won’t be able to perform your best and that sucks worse than losing games.

Nanatsu no Taizai S5 Review

Okay. First off, Thank you Suzuki-sensei!!✨

I am honestly conflicted for many reasons but let me just leave a rating first. (It’s my own opinion so please don’t come @ me)

Rating: 6.8/10

Would I recommend it?

Umm, long-standing fans definitely!? After all, we need closures 😂 For new anime-watchers, I’m a bit on the fence but if you do decide to watch it, please be ready for some downhill ride 🙇🏻‍♀️🔥

Is it bad?

So here’s where the conflict resides.

IT👏🏻IS👏🏻NOT👏🏻.

Thanks to Suzuki-sensei , it was honestly A WONDERFUL JOURNEY! The manga excites me more than the anime, so please do read them!

What brought it down was really the animation quality (imo). This is especially bad in Season 4 like everything was so stiff and awkward omg i still cringe at the sight of it.

Coming back to Season 5, the reason why it doesn’t even get a 7 from me is because:

The animation slightly improved but the action scenes felt like they were doing bare minimum. There were so many action scenes that would’ve been enjoyable if the animation did justice to the storyline.

The storyline was solid but it felt very rushed. I honestly felt like after Ep 13, they were just trying to condense things into these episodes. Escanor’s backstory, Arthur’s revival, Chaos prelude(?) etc felt like it could’ve been weaved better? All in all, it felt a bit fragmented in the anime. (NOTE THAT i don’t feel like this when I read the manga)

I don’t think it did justice to the manga. Classic reason but a very valid one here 🥲🕺🏻

Why you should watch it anyway?

AGAIN, IT IS A GOOD STORY😭😭😭 It was great in anime until season 3 at least for me. And like to drop it after all this while feels a bit odd don’t you think?

Honestly there are gems buried in this season, albeit it being a bit fragmented as a whole. In my last post I highlighted Estarossa revelation. Other than this, look forward to King’s Harlequin Evolution 🧚‍♂️, Escanor’s Backstory 😢 and of course, the final part!

We rarely get a good closure to a shounen anime yall. This one gives us a peek into their future!!! With their kids! How cute is that eh? 😎 (would’ve loved to see Ban x Elaine son - Lancelot and King x Diane children)

In conclusion, Nanatsu no Taizai series literally revolves around the strength of love, and to me, that’s a very pure motivation (which I question but appreciate a lot? 🤣)
