Not history, but does anyone experience this when you're having an anxiety attack:

Some things, regardless of how small or stupid spike your anxiety. Like things that you have no problem with on a normal day, but *something* about them makes your gut clench and you freeze up a bit more now, like the beginning of *just* the wrong song, or standing in the wrong space in your apartment, or, more obviously, looking at something that needs to be done.

I'd guess this is a normal part of anxiety, but I've never heard someone talk about it.

I just started reading a book called The Kingdom of Little Wounds and it got unexpectedly and weirdly sexual very quickly and then I later read that the back of the book had a review calling it "de Sadean" so I should have looked closer the first time
