I've increased the average amount of pages I draw every day by 100%. Which means I am now drawing 4 completely filled pages of pencil drawings per day on average instead of 2.
I'm cutting down on my distractions, but I'll log-in on occasion. I'd like to do something else on this profile rather than just...what I did the last several years (still not sure what that is though).
Maybe you're wondering how in the world I can draw that much every day? I have over 30,000 reference images, although I'm drawing animated GIFs frame-by-frame right now.
Thank you for reading~

If Wutai is at war with Shinra already and the borders are closing, how does Elena get there to do the Wutai story?

Very sneaky hint in "Esoteric Secrets of the Elders", the Nibelheim sidequest that's literally about anger and revenge (y'know, like that one World of Final Fantasy scene with Terra).
"Living Legend" is likely hinting at "Living Legacy" from the end of Crisis Core. It's a Yuffie quest, and it's not like I haven't mentioned her a hundred times lately when it comes to the "Dreams & Honor" thingamajig.
It's kinda annoying that no one knows why Zack is in the game. Everyone likes believing it's just for fanservice. Hopefully Dissidia gets re-released before FF7R Part 3, since that's the game that explains it.

Where Terra will appear to Zack
Tumblr media
If we go by what's shown in the Zack/Serah cutscene in the WoFF DLC, Zack will fall into a field of flowers thanks to a "giant flying thing" and Terra will be right there to greet him.
My working theory right now is that the Zack that jumps down into the Sector 6 reactor after Biggs' death will escape through the now-empty pipes. At some point he'll get caught by the Condor then dropped right here in this empty, very far away area currently only reserved for the Chloe sidequest.
The hints here are that the area in the WoFF DLC looks like a plateau as well, Chloe and Billy represent Terra and Cloud, "Hollow" plays all the way to here up to the point that Aerith starts the flower picking, this place is full of pipes, it seems important, Aerith mentions the orphanage, it's the first sidequest, it's close to Midgar, the Kyrie sidequest is about the leaking mako pipes in the area, and also...there's nothing else here!
I mean, what's the point of the Sector 6 reactor timeline anyway? All we find out is that the reactors are empty, Biggs dies in that timeline, and Zack jumps to the bottom of the reactor. It seems so pointless, just like how pointless the area around the wildflowers are.

"When the war of the beasts brings about the world's end, the goddess descends from the sky."
Weiss says this in the very beginning of DFFOO Act 4 Chapter 8 Pt. 2. Of course, he's just quoting Genesis.
Some things of note...Jessie represents the "goddess" in FF7R and I'm pretty sure that Terra is being represented by the word "angel". This would mean that Jessie represents Terra herself.
If the "goddess descends", and assuming that the "FF9 Terra/Gaia" planet-mating thing happens to the timelines where the lifestream is sucked dry, then maybe at the early stage of this Terra just descends from the other planet to stop them from colliding.
One thing I've been bugged with is that Yuffie takes the place of Aerith. Usually Aerith appears on the left side of Cloud and Tifa appears on the right. This doesn't happen every single time, but it happens very often when the scene transitions.
Yuffie is usually shown on the left side of Cloud or grabbing his left arm (Aerith's side), especially when Tifa is on the right (when they reach the Forgotten Capital). If at one point Tifa is "gone", would Terra then replace Tifa in the same way Aerith appears to Cloud in the end? It's an odd thing to think about because Cloud can see through two timelines while the others can't.
One of the timelines likes to use the number "6" to represent itself (the one where Biggs dies). It takes place in the Sector 6 reactor and the first shot of this timeline shows Stamp with a cap that has 6 stars on it. In this timeline Zack sort of "does his own thing" and just jumps down to the dry reactor below. Is this timeline going to be special in some way? Sector 6 reactor photos are used as hints in Remake...are they hinting at this timeline?
At the end of the battle between Zack/Cloud and Sephiroth, the two worlds are shown departing each other. This may be a hint about the end of Part 3 where Cloud has to decide which world to stay on. I don't believe it'll exactly happen this way and is shown as a metaphor. I think Terra doesn't believe Cloud remembers anything about her and assumes she's just fine with "that other girl" kinda how Aerith wonders if Zack got some other girl and didn't return for that reason.
Surprising enough, Cissnei DOES represent Yuffie. Shelke too represents Yuffie (for Vincent). This is hinted at the Gongaga sidequests with Cissnei (two with Aeritha and one with Yuffie). In the "Woodland Vigil" one with Aerith, Cissnei describes how she's waiting for Zack despite believing he'll never show (they show her shuriken off at the start of this one for a while).
Yuffie will do this in the ending of FF7R. Maybe she'll wait 50 years minimum if our world doesn't end first. If the goddess in Loveless represents Terra, would Yuffie be unable to take that part of the play or have difficulties doing so? Maybe it doesn't matter as they're both the "moogle girls"? For how this story is going, it may happen with both at the exact same time, Lol.
The "beasts" on the Loveless quote likely refer to the Weapons. After the time that meteor will be summoned, Terra appears.

FF Dissidia Opera Omnia Act 4 Chapter 8 (specifically Part 2) is largely about Angeal trying to get Sephiroth back his memories. Sephiroth gets some memories of Angeal and Genesis (represented by Weiss) on accident when he absorbs a crystal and gets visibly weaker with them.
This chapter was only released last year in Japanese. Square-Enix uploaded the chapters on YouTube with English translation when Rebirth came out. This is the chapter where they defeat Sephiroth for real. Part 1 is mostly about describing the "Dreams and Honor" bit, which is the catalyst to everything (it may be in FF7R Part 3 as well).
YouTube links:
-> Act 4 Chapter 8 Part 1 -> Act 4 Chapter 8 Part 2
I think Angeal is the final character added to the game, although he was datamined years ago. Also, Vincent tells Sephiroth about Lucrecia at the end of Part 2.

Ever since I started Opera Omnia, I asked myself why in the world Cloud's head looked odd. I wasn't sure if they made it too small or something with the eyes.
I was scrolling through images I collected of DFFOO when I got to a convo with Yuffie & Cloud.
Turns out Cloud's head is perfectly aligned and sized to Yuffie's.
Even after comparing them with Tifa, Aerith, Terra, Rydia, Rufus, Zack, Lyse, Seymour, Yuna, Vincent, Shelke, etc. I couldn't get this result. Doesn't help that they both have their weapons behind them in the same way (they do that in the OG FF7 drawings too).
No, this isn't new news to me. Below are a bunch of Dissidia NT renders. Do you notice that Cloud is very similar to someone else in them? They either made Cloud shorter or Terra taller to make this effect.
Tumblr media
The caveat here is that each character is doing a different pose or looking somewhere else. Who would go into this type of trouble without conveying a message?

After Sephiroth converts/activates/changes the Black Materia at the Temple of the Ancients, Cloud is presented with the Rift in the sky after leaving Aerith's alternate timeline house where he's told "not to look up".
This repeats itself in the ending with Cloud suddenly having the *upgraded* Black Materia and Aerith telling him not to look up at the rift.
It looks like they're connecting this Black Materia with the rift in the sky. The red energy that revolves around the outer edge of the orb looks similar to the rift. I know some people say that the original Black Materia was "fake" and Sephiroth activated it, but since the whispers were involved, could it be that the Black Materia does something different this time around? Why would he repeat his old plan?
In the OG, the whole temple became the Black Materia, and if that were still the case...wouldn't Sephiroth just have gone down into the pit to get it? Sephiroth's FF7R plan is more about "worlds merging" than meteor as far as I can tell (they do like "showing a meteor" though).
What bothers me though is that they call it a "rift". Gilgamesh comes from a "rift". Meteor on the other hand just...comes from somewhere.

It's another one of those moments, but this time it's right before the fight against Sephiroth with Zack & Cloud.
In the Advent Children ending, Cloud looks straight at Yuffie before seeming to notice Aerith and Zack. This time the camera changes position due to a white whisper then strays far enough to the right to show only Yuffie and Cloud before zooming out...and then Zack appears.
Zack's "Dreams & Honor" are what I believe will free Cloud from Sephiroth's control. In Part 3 this will happen through Yuffie as this may be implying. Cloud has to "hang on tight" to a "shared dream" in order to break free from Sephiroth (note Zack's message to Biggs after Kyrie appears to them).
The "honor" part is the "saving the girl" part, y'know, being the "hero". This may not just be the Wutai scene we all know of. Note that this isn't about memories as much as it is the "attack Sephiroth in a blind rage" issue.
Remake hints of the shared dream being something related to "dancing". Yuffie's interest in being the "leading lady" like Jessie in the Loveless play as well as her ability to dance and sing are the hints.

Something's been bugging me now that I've started going through FFX again after Rebirth. Yuffie and Cloud's dynamic is similar to Rikku and Tidus'...over two decades ago. This isn't the only thing through (Tidus is similar to Zack despite Zack only showing up as a fleshed-out character in 2007, a character that looks like Wedge in Besaid appears with a cat beside him, etc.).
Let's say that Auron "is like" Vincent, Wakka is Barret, etc. and then apply it to the characters in other games like FF8, 9, etc...will we be able to find out the general story of FF7R part 3?
My thinking is that this FF7R stuff was originally what they planned in OG FF7 before they canceled the idea. For Yuffie in particular, it seems like small themes of her current character are in Selphie, Eiko, Rikku, etc. This is only possible if her character was always designed to be like her FF7R counterpart before someone pulled the plug on the idea.
Think about it, they likely planned to do the reunion with Terra in OG FF7...why wouldn't they have? Yuffie (along with Wutai) and Vincent may have played a large role in it before they became optional. One hint is the sudden influx of hints about Terra before the ending on the Highwind...the "my reason to fight" thing that was integrated into Cloud's Dissidia story and Cid's Loveless ending right after it (the one used in the Gold Saucer date play).
After so many decades, why do we only now know what that Loveless ending means? Maybe it was a cut idea, kinda like the lifestream "grab my hand" scene after Cloud defeats Sephiroth...maybe the devs thought the "waiting" from the FF6 Opera wasn't "long enough" or they didn't like the idea at that time as they didn't want to connect other FF games directly.
I guess we'll see...we have a lot of time.
Btw, I played FF7 sometime after Remake and was looking for where all the cats in the game where. There weren't that many until you hit the little house that seems to be connected to Yuffie's home that's completely full of them. Well, it'll obviously appear again, and I'm pretty sure they're Yuffie's cats.

In Act 4 Chapter 8 Part 1 of Opera Omnia, Tifa and these two girls cross paths with Sephiroth. They are together for a large section of Part 1.
Lyse (FF14) and Iris (FF15) represent Terra and Yuffie (there's no doubting it).
This is where they meet up This is where they find Sephiroth The cutscene with Sephiroth is another "Tifa dies" hint, unfortunately. There has to be something more than just "that" with her for FF7R part 3 (as the ending of OG FF7 shows).

This is the biggest hint of them all.
The flower image Cloud touches in the 100% World Intel cutscene with Chadley is the dying flower from Zack's timeline where the petals fly towards the rift in the sky.
With the dialog Gilgamesh gave about other FF "worlds" plus "Warriors of Light", and from Gi Nattak who describes having come from a planet that was destroyed long ago, this means that what comes from the rift may indeed be a planet.
I mean, how does a timeline come from the sky, and why would it be represented by two orbs coming together like what actually happens in FF9 with two planets? Gilgamesh also used a "rift" y'know.

I'll be repeating some things on this post to summarize the past months (especially for Yuffie fans).
These two moments are hinting at the Loveless ending (which Cid originally said at the end of OG FF7, but specifically what's shown in the three date Loveless plays).
The Loveless ending is likely the ending to FF7R part 3. One of the three girls (Aerith, Tifa, or Yuffie) will say goodbye to Cloud as he returns home (his reunion in his "promised land" [in the game he was cut from - FF6 w/ Terra]).
The girl who plays the "role" of Jessie will be the one that says goodbye. This is rather easy to know by a process of elimination based on what things revolve around each character.
Biggs - Orphans Wedge - Cats Jessie - Princess
So...
Aerith - Orphans Tifa - Cats Yuffie - ...
"Princess" is a fancy way of saying either "heroine" or the main girl of the Loveless play (Yuffie wants to be both, although she already sees herself as the heroine [main character of her DLC]). In an easy-to-understand way, the girl with the greatest single-minded interest to Cloud regardless of his negatives represents Jessie.
There's already hints that Yuffie will dance with Cloud by what's shown in her date scene. It'll be connected to the "dance dream" from Remake (Miss Folia) which is connected to Zack's "Dreams and Honor". If Cloud holds on to that "childish dream", he'll break from Sephiroth's control.
It's not my idea, it came from Dissidia with Terra using Firion's dream as a catalyst (fill the world with flowers). Also Zack and Aerith sharing their "dream" in CC to fill Midgar with flowers.
Whoever it is, they will have a very big role in FF7R Part 3, but I'll be frank, it can't be Aerith.
Although, Yuffie is technically the daughter of the ruler of Wutai and calls herself a princess in her date scene, unlike the others.
The "Girl" in Barret's sidequest is representing Terra Branford, the "angel/goddess". That's likely the role Yuffie wants to play. There is a reason why Zack calls Aerith "an angel", the "Angel of the Slums, the Fluffy sidequest in Nibelheim, and also Rinoa from FF8.
For posterity-sake, I'll post a few of the hints from the Yuffie date. The dancing hint is the 3rd image (hard to show in one image), which happens when Aerith is singing. The "Materia Song" Cloud mentions after the 1st image is prob the one she sings in Gongaga when you pick the "funny" option.

Barret though? You do know there are consequences that have to happen first if Yuffie can get what she wants?

that "siblings" thing
Lot's of people like saying that word both for the Terra Dissidia scene and Yuffie's date.
I don't think that word is good enough to describe why the characters are "similar".
I think this is the "childhood friend" effect. You know, when two characters are friends for so long they become similar. I call it an "effect" because Yuffie isn't an actual childhood friend, but even though Tifa is the "childhood friend", she doesn't have the "sibling vibe" for some reason.
I think this is why they pointed this out in the OG FF7 lifestream scene. It seems like a pointless detail, but there is importance to the "we weren't that close" thing.
Yuffie kinda defies explanation, but she does have the "effect". There's probably a negative to that too...if one of them is terrible, the other is also terrible. Kinda odd how Cloud develops a similar obsession with the Black Materia that Yuffie also has with materia (he wasn't obsessed with it in the OG like they're showing in Rebirth). If Cloud is obsessed with defeating Sephiroth, Yuffie is obsessed with punching Scarlet in the face.
You get the picture.

This was from the TWELVE year old mobile Final Fantasy game Airborne Brigade. I used to post the Terra & Cloud with reindeer horns when I was first introduced to this pic. I didn't wonder too much about Yuffie...but now...
This is Celes' birthday party. I guess it fits since she sung the FF6 Opera and Aerith is partly based on that. The red rose above Terra and the moogle plushie with Mog also sitting behind were notable at the time. There are multiple images of Terra with a moogle doll or dressed as a moogle from this game.
There's probably some other stuff in this image, which came after FF15 (this game ended in early 2020). The ones with red hearts are pretty notable (Rikku, Iris, and Tifa). Tifa has a moogle head as well and Iris (FF15 moogle girl) has a tiara. I'm sure that both Iris and Rikku are created after Yuffie.
Yes, I believe Iris from FF15 represents Yuffie. I used to think it was just a weird "Eiko thing" and that they gave Eiko a part of Terra's cut childhood personality, but now I think it's more about Yuffie. What I mean is the whole "young girl likes main character but realizes they like someone else". There's no "someone else" with Terra.
I think Sherlotta also got Yuffie's personality and may have been representing her too. The other character is Cater.
Bartz probably represents "real Cloud". There is a cutscene in DFFOO Act 1 Chapter 7 (the Clerra chapter with Vincent) where he goes into a basement with Yuffie and Zidane. It's similar to the WoFF Intervention with him and Rikku where they go into a cave to find treasure.
