Yes, he didn't know, at all, he has no clue whatsoever of Japanese drinking culture. Any drinking culture he knows is mostly his workmates getting wasted at work shindigs.

When she took a shot, so did he, though his eyes almost ballooned once the alcohol hit his mouth. Holy crap that's strong! He isn't used to it at all, but he held it in, he swallowed it, all while trying his best to not break his composure.

A pause, mostly to regain himself after that sip, though when Uwabami asked him about home, his eyes widened for a moment.

"My home?" He asked. "Well... to be truthful I... come from suburban Australia... it's... a nice place... it just always feels like I'm home. It's not too busy, the beach is close by... so are the parks... few things to do like.. movies and such. It isn't perfect but... it's still... peaceful... in a way..."

And he'll always try and keep it that way, for sure.

She poured herself a glass, assuming he didn’t know that he was supposed to serve her, & took a sip. The woman had trained herself to have a very high tolerance so she could drink as much as she wanted in social situations.

“You’ve made me curious. What is home like?”

Hot tofu was served, but it was too hot to eat just yet. Uwabami appreciated its smell.

"W..well then, Mt. Lady, would you please give me a tour of the city? I'd... I'd really love it if you showed me around!"

“Yeah. Totally.” She agreed.

“If you want an autograph, all you have to do is ask.”

“Well, Chuuno, if you ask me nicely, I can show you around town.” Yu knew it all well & she really loved Tokyo.

A little laugh escaped the blonde at Amaryllis' comment. "No need to worry, whatever happens, I'll make sure you're safe." No doubt about it, he'll protect her for sure.

Soon enough they were in a typical looking town for this era... and soon they were in a typical looking tavern too. No surprises at the people arm wrestling, gambling, drinking, this was all to be expected. Bowen followed Amaryllis up to the quest board. He's not used to picking quests off a board, normally when it comes to assignments, they're more just given to him without any form of choice.

Amaryllis beamed. "I may not have seen you in battle yet but I have a good feeling about how strong you are! I'm sure we can take on anything! Even a harder quest than beginning ones." She took them to a typical medieval looking town, heading straight for their tavern.

The place was rather rowdy, people arm wrestling, gambling, drinking and laughing. She stiffened a moment upon seeing it all before happily strolling through it towards the quest board. "Now let's see what they have..." she muttered curiously.

"Ah, alright!" Bowen's blush grew a tad when Xia took his arm like that. He was worried at first that they could be spotted in case there was one or two people left... yet it seemed like they really had all gone. They were safe! For now.

Eventually he was lead to a very nice looking restaurant, one that was clearly full of people. "Oh wow, this looks amazing!" He remarked at first. A place like this that could do pretty much anything, that was exciting!

Though he did hear her words about private booths.. for couples. He was blushing again. "W..well, I reckon we should have one of those booths to ourselves, then."

Xia grinned now and happily took his arm. "Well then, let us be off!" she replied and led him out of their little hideout. Her eyes carefully shifted about to make sure none of her pursuers were near but it seemed they truly did give up.

Feeling more relaxed, she took him to a rather fancy restaurant front, the place filled with people. "Here we are. They have quite the variety of food. Anything you wish, they likely have. It may look busy up front, but they have special private booths in the back perfect for couples." She let the word couples drip out of her mouth with a flirtatious tone.

Well that's one way to get the blonde to blush, how he looked away briefly as he scratched his cheek. He never really thought of himself as a 'cute' kid, but some people would say otherwise.

"Ah... not sure yet, I was gonna make up my mind when I get closer to the counter." Yeah, the line is long... he wondered if there was someone at the front taking too long to make a decision.

He didn’t sound very convincing, but Rumi felt it didn’t matter anyway.

The line at this new bubble tea shop was taking so long. She stopped her foot that had been tapping & changed her footing.

Bowen only closed his eyes for a moment as his grin grew large, pretty much nodding in agreement. Indeed, yes, he's probably already had a large iced coffee earlier this morning before coming here, that's the absolute favourite drink out of the way.

A cosmopolitan. A particularly small drink, though he had to wonder how strong those were. His knowledge of alcohol was terrible. "Hmmm.." Flavours, normally when it came to alcohol he imagined things like different fruit flavours. "I mean, I like things banana or raspberry flavoured, would that help?

"On their birthday?" she blinks, before giggling, "I'd recommend their favorite drink, honestly." An easy answer, before, eventually, the redhead adds,

"...Alright, alright, I know that's not what you're asking, though. Let's see..." she hums, "...A drink for celebration, huh? How about...well, I could do a cosmo, I suppose. Hmm..." for once, she was stumped. "But it would really depend on the person. What sort of flavors would that person enjoy, you know?"

So, the next thing I gotta do here are the actual replies here, then I'll be tackling discord stuff. It might take a while as right now we're going through a heatwave here and it's completely shot my drive to do any writing.

I keep mentioning a project I've been working on. If anyone wants to know what it is, feel free to DM me on Discord. I'll happily tell you!

Bit of some thinking under the cut, you don't have to read if you don't want to.

I do want to add too that... I guess for a long time I feel like I've been waning a bit when it comes to this site. I feel as if I have no time for it anymore, though I still get the odd opportunity when writing strikes. Despite that, I haven't made any concrete decision about my future here on Tumblr, but it does feel sometimes that... this site has changed, yet in some ways I haven't, and that the golden era of it all has long passed.

I once mentioned I missed the days of big threads, writing actual stories, things that really got me wanting more and more. I feel like that era of Tumblr has finished in a way, for a number of reasons, drama, work, things just... changed.

And of course I feel like I'm letting people down by not being here. Of course that isn't the case, people have told me to take my time with things, but sometimes I feel like I've let things hang for... too long. I dunno. I'm very indecisive about this place. I still cherish each and every one of you all who's stuck with me, that still wants to write with me and carry things through. I'm not going anywhere yet.

If I do leave, IF I leave, it won't be 'permanent', because I'll consider coming back if my project falls over, although in such a scenario it could be a long time. IF that happens, I will still be roleplaying on Discord and encouraging everyone to continue things through there. Having said that, no concrete decision has been made.

I just want to be honest with y'all about the state of play. I'll do my best to keep coming and writing, though motivation has been very, very hard. I've been on here for nearly 12 years, that's a long time to be doing this. Please feel free to reach out over Discord if you ever want to talk, about anything, doesn't have to be RP related at all.

"It's just... fascinating.." He soon answered. "Seeing the stars like this...
