My boyfriend is trying to explain cricket to me again. “He’s only got two balls to make 48 runs”, he says. The camera focuses on a man. Underneath him it says LEFT ARM FAST MEDIUM. A ball flies into the stands and presumably fractures someone’s skull. “There’s a free six”, my boyfriend says. 348 SIXES says the screen. A child in the audience waves a sign referencing Weet-Bix

A Republican group opposed to Donald Trump used hidden cameras to show just how hard it would be for someone with his resume to get a job at a local mall.
“If Trump is too big of a liability to get a job at your local mall, he is too big of a liability to be president of the United States,” the voiceover says in the new video from Republican Voters Against Trump, which will air on Fox News, among other places.

Incredible power move to make one of the most beloved crpgs ever made using a modified dnd 5e system, make a ton of money and shit on most AAA game studios in the process, then say “cool. Anyway fuck dnd 5e and wizzards of the coast. We’re doing our own thing now.”

same as a long-tome fan and fan of taylor’s lyricism, many of ttpd lyrics just irks eyebrows. like i’d find a song good until it makes me pause at lyrics - and it happens too often.
idk did taylor truly think using big words and long metaphors is the pinnacle of songwriting? is she too conscious of the acclaim folkmore got for its lyricism and wants to keep proving that? but while folkmore’s metaphors worked well and subtle, ttpd does not? and the cringey lyrics, that taylor conveyed so well before, just isn’t hitting right. is she being serious, is she being satirical - the delivery is often confusing, when before it was easy to catch on.
i saw a lot of people saying she’s trying have a ‘lana del ray’ album with ttpd and i agree. i said this with another anon but it feels like she’s trying to be so many different people it just gets confusing. with artists that i very much think are heavy inspirations for her on this record (lana, phoebe, and matty) they can get away with these types of long metaphorical lyrics or out of pocket lyrics because their music style is more subtle, their voices are blended well with the music so you don’t really figure out what their saying lol, with taylor her voice is always so front and center, plus the mixing of the production isn’t great so you really hear what she’s saying and are forced to pay attention to it.

Margarita Simonyan, RT's editor-in-chief, called MTG a blond, fur-wearing "beauty."
"She is demonstratively heterosexual," Simonyan said of Greene on Sunday.
The Georgia Republican has been a vocal critic of US support for Ukraine.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has just won herself some new admirers.
The GOP congresswoman was painted in glowing terms during a broadcast on Russian state television on Sunday.
"Marjorie Taylor Greene, you've just shown is a beauty. She is one of a few members of the US Congress who is trying to look like a person in an old-fashioned sense of the word," Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of Russian state-controlled broadcaster RT, said of Greene.
"She is a blonde, who wears white coats with a fur collar. She is demonstratively heterosexual," Simonyan continued.
