c!phil gave some genuinely solid advice to c!wilbur (aiming for other people’s closure), I'm just hoping that c!wilbur takes it to heart because changing one's desires and intentions while still being genuine is pretty difficult, especially for c!wilbur. I'm not sure he will be able to be selfless enough to truly put his need for forgiveness aside to allow others to move on.

Well, shit. 

I wrote this post jokingly expecting a vaguely scuffed fanfic and instead we got a beautifully written and truly poetic story. 

I was not anticipating Mr. Wilbur “my mom is a samsung refrigerator” Soot to write something so eloquent and harrowing for the competitive burger van arc and yet I was left pleasantly surprised, in awe even, by the sheer quality of his art. I knew he has a knack for storytelling, but the arc typed out in written format really allowed for the more subtle details to amplify the story’s impact as a whole. 

And after all that, the bastard didn’t even use tags. 

now that it has been confirmed that wilbur is going to publish the burger van arc on ao3 i have some predictions:

1. the site is going to crash when the lore is published (like heatwaves)

2. wilbur is going to use Wilbur Soot/Quackity tag (most likely due to a misunderstanding) and then quickly change or remove it, but the damage will already be done 

3. there will be at least one thing in the lore (bonus points if its about another cc’s character) that is either a discrepancy or just widely rejected by the fandom (like the samsung fridge incident)

For whatever reason I am still excited thinking about this so I am going to share it here ig

Before I continue, some context:

1. I would consider myself a fairly longterm wilbur enjoyer. I subscribed to him on youtube back in september of 2019 and have consistently watched and enjoyed his content since.

2. Delta Sleep is my favorite band. Like, I listen to their stuff literally every day, own a few pieces of merch, have tickets to a show early next year, etc.

So, imagine my surprise when fucking wilbur soot casually pulls up my favorite song of all time (the detail) and plays the music video on stream... definitely surreal. I swear I fucking factory reset when he brought up delta sleep, like, I know he has talked about them before, and thinking back I remember noticing him wear their merch a few times but still... it was exciting to say the least.

that stream (ranboo’s board game stream) was such an emotional rollercoaster, the energy was so chaotic but I don’t think I have ever laughed out loud as much as I have during that stream, it was genuinely one of the most entertaining streams I have watched in a while. and then at the end when they were reminiscing on the last few months in the uk and ranboo started to get serious it all hit me like a train at once, and I am absolutely devastated in the best way.

I started watching ranboo a little over a year ago now and seeing his friendship with tubbo develop, and then the build up to the meet up, and now all of these amazing new friendships... and even just how far he has come in these past months...I am just so,,,sad? I don’t even think that’s it though, I am excited to see where he goes from here and I know the crew is meeting in LA soon, but I would be lying if I said a part of me didn’t hurt thinking about all of the memories and fun times from this time, and how much I will miss them. I guess I am just feeling a lot in general right now, getting sentimental all of a sudden. the nostalgia definitely hits home a bit harshly but I am more than excited to see where this journey will take ranboo next.
