1. My friend was obsessed with the series and wanted me to read it so I could obsess over it with her. I was hesitant at first but then I started reading and really enjoyed it!!

2. I really loved Fitz. My friend was a Fitz stan so I think she may have influenced me but from the get go I was in love with him 🥰 I also thought the world building was interesting and I liked the extravagant feel with the fancy houses and clothes.

Okay feel free to ignore this but I’m genuinely curious: How did y’all get into kotlc, and what was the first thing you really liked about it?

I’ll go first:

1. My friend recommended it to me

2. I LOVED Sophie’s relationship with Grady and Edaline. It was (and still is) one of my favorite things about the series

The Sophitz Ultimate Argument

I have some friends on the wiki who (a while ago) compiled every single Sophitz Argument into one compendium for referencing. It’s called the Sophitz Ultimate Argument - and it’s quite useful. I’ve used some of the ideas in it once or twice (I prefer to write my own arguments).

It’s only up to Legacy - and I have been invited to be a writer if it’s ever updated for Unlocked (something currently up in the air between the authors).

This is pretty niche but I constantly connect books so this is kinda my ✨thing✨. pls lemme know if any of you want more of these particularly sophitz because i have so many concepts. so here i present some breathe lyrics that give me strong sophitz breakup vibes.

- “Now I don't know what to be without you around”

Fitz and Sophie were literally each other’s backbones for like 5 books and they relied so much on each other.

- “Never a clean break, no one here to save me”

Fitz and Sophie usually helped each other in times of turmoil, but after their fall out they didn’t have each other. It was also a messy ending. Fitz in particular probably didn’t have someone to talk to after it.

- “You're the only thing I know like the back of my hand”

Fitz and Sophie obviously know each other so well because of cognate training and just because of their close relationship.

- “And I can't breathe without you, but I have to”

Reminds me of Fitz’s echos, also yet again they relied so much on each other pre breakup

- “It's two am, feelin' like I just lost a friend”

Sophie and Fitz lost a huge friendship with their Legacy breakup, not just their romantic relationship
