my hottest take is that realism is actually pretty simple if you learn it from the right person in the right way and do it in the right mindset in the right way, even if you don't have much art experience. burn me at stake if you will. it's about learning to draw what you see and not what you think you see while having a simple understanding of dimensions and shading.
