Ok let’s be real about the Shadow is played by Keanu thing. This was confirmed not by an official source but by a guy called John Campea who everyone believed and then this spread. You can believe it if you want but just know this.

I personally thought they would wait until after the Knuckles show had been out for a while seeing how they dropped a trailer at cinema con with a silent shadow. Plus we never got a confirmation from what would be the most credible sources like Keanu, Paramount, Sonic movie official page, Jeff Fowler. So let’s not lose our shirts over this. We’re all caught off guard but we don’t need to go overboard.

After sitting on this overnight, it is rather odd how this announcement was released yesterday.

I have no idea who this John Campea guy is, other than I know he had posted that Hayden was not going to be Shadow’s voice. But I do find it a bit strange that this information came out that Keanu was the voice when Shadow himself had a silent appearance in the trailer at the con and they wouldn’t reveal this so early on since it’s about a week before the Knuckles show airs, which is a bad decision promotional wise since everyone will be talking about that instead.

….geez, idk anymore. I’ll get back in the backseat for the moment, since been a crazy 12+ hours as it is and see what else comes up this week.

Today's April 5th, which means...

Our favorite movie turns one year old! 🤩👏🥳🎂💃✨

This movie was soooo important to me! 🥰 I was in a really bad place when it came out, so I'm not exaggerating when I say it saved my life! I literally owe my life to the Super Mario Brothers 🥹❤️💚

To celebrate, I decided to create five posts with gifs from this amazing movie! This will be the first, focusing on some characters and some of my favorite scenes from the film, and my three favorite characters will have their own posts that will be shared later today! Unfortunately I can't add any more gifs, but I think this sums up very well my favorite scenes from the movie and also some of the characters aside from Mario, Luigi and Peach! I LOVE all of these characters and I wanted them to have at least one gif dedicated to them 🥹

And the scenes are my absolute favorites! 🤩 The commercial, the fight against DK, the Mario Kart part, the moment Mario and DK get to the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario training, the babies (did not expect at all to see the bros as babies!), the whole Superstar scene, the ending... And the Fire Flower field, where we get some of the cutest Mareach moments in the whole movie 🥹 And I decided to highlight them together with a couple more simply because I love these two cuties so so much ❤️🩷

I also had to highlight my two favorite scenes. My God, the moment Mario and Luigi reunite and hug, Mario on the verge of tears, Luigi unable to stop laughing... My heart warms every single time I see it and I also tear up, these two brothers are just so adorable and love each other so so much!!! They'd literally do ANYTHING for each other and I just LOVE their beautiful and deep bond 🥹❤️💚

Btw, if you love this beautiful scene just as much as I do, you may wanna check this post I shared a while back if you haven't yet! 🥰

And last but not least, I truly get goosebumps every single time I see Luigi standing in front of Mario to protect him from Bowser's fire with the manhole. It was finally the time for my beloved Luigi to shine!!! 🥹🥹🥹 It was the evidence that he's just as brave as his big brother and is just as willing to protect him at all costs as Mario is willing to do the same for him. They're a team, they'll always be there for each other and nothing can hurt them as long as they're together 🥹❤️💚

I'm just so happy this movie exists! As I said, I owe it my life, so it'll always live in my heart and soul rent-free 🥹💚❤️

Facing Evil Together 🟥🟩

I've been working on this all week and now it's finally done!

I'm not too good at digital art, but I really wanted to make last week's sketch look better 😄✨

I enjoyed coloring the bros as much as I enjoyed drawing them in first place. I had never detailed a digital drawing this much before, but I loved the result✨
