“Coming to your senses?” Came a male voice to his right. Jungkook looked over, blinking a few times. A man sitting at a far desk rose and approached. He was tall and handsome, with a full head of dark hair, styled quite fashionably in a side part, bangs falling over his forehead just a bit. He had a strong jaw and lightly tanned skin, and he wore a doctor’s lab coat over his clean blue button up and slacks.

“Who are you?” Jungkook mumbled, licking his dry lips.

“Dr. Park Seojoon. The resident doctor slash nurse slash everything medical on campus.”

“I’m in the nurse station?” Jungkook rubbed his forehead.

“Mhm. You took a nasty fall on the lacrosse field. Your friends were quite panicked when you were unresponsive.”

“Oh, okay…” It began to come back to Jungkook. Colliding with Jimin, the fall, blacking out. “Who brought me in?”

“Hm, Jung Hoseok and Min Yoongi, Yoongi said he was your roommate?”

“Right, he is…” Jungkook drifted off, frowning. “How long have I been here?”

“Just an hour or so.”

“I have my next class soon. I gotta go. Can I go?”

“We should talk first,” Dr. Park said sternly. “You’re not injured, don’t worry. I think the shock of it just knocked you down, and you were pretty dehydrated. But what I’m more curious about… Jeon Jungkook…” He circled around the bed and effectively blocked Jungkook’s escape route.

“Is what a female is doing in a men’s college.”

“You’re almost done,” Taehyung praised.

Jungkook was finishing up his final year of college. Though many had scolded Taehyung for dating someone still in school while he was already working; the two had grown up together. He wouldn’t have chosen a singular other person to spend his life with. Unfortunately, however, Jungkook’s rigorous program meant the end of the year was a stressful time, with a very few days that Jungkook could actually spare to see Taehyung. He didn’t mind; he was glad Jungkook put school first, and focused on making a good career for himself.

So when moments like this happened, when the two were both available, they knew they had to jump on it.

Sleeping was difficult. You didn’t think you ever had as much trouble sleeping as you had this past week while you got used to these casts and the odd sleeping positions you had to figure out. And you were also quickly realizing how hard it would be to get around. Of course you were told in the hospital that you couldn’t put any weight on your legs, so you’d be in a wheelchair and that you would need help getting in and out of it.

But you still couldn’t have imagined it was going to be this difficult. When you woke up, someone else had to pick you up and place you in the chair to go anywhere - which Sejin and all seven of the boys learned how to do before you left the hospital. Being in the chair, you couldn’t reach the counters in your kitchen, so you couldn’t even attempt to cook, or even just heat up a meal. Luckily, your building had an elevator so you could enter and leave easily, but you were literally dependent on others at the moment and that lowkey scared you.

As you woke up today, you heard sounds coming from the kitchen. No doubt it was your mom making breakfast. When she heard about what happened, she immediately made plans to come to Korea to help take care of you, at least for the few weeks that she was able to get off of work.

Deciding you probably weren’t getting anymore sleep and it was time to get up, you called for your mom so she knew you were awake. It was only a moment before she shuffled in while you carefully rearranged yourself at the side of the bed for her to pick you up properly.

“Good morning, baby girl,” your mom said after placing you in the chair, giving you a kiss on your forehead. “Did you sleep any better last night?”

Everything was the both of them. Helping Jungkook come out to his family, the tears when his father was far less than supportive, Yoongi still remembers the way Jungkook had kissed him after Yoongi went toe to toe with the man, preventing a further fight and earning his respect in one fell swoop.
