God. I just... I just miss him so much.

This helped but it also... it also reminded me how much I miss him. How much I miss Techno.

He was incredible. I just... he had such a big impact on so many people. He was funny, he was kind, he offer us company when we felt alone, and made us laugh when we had nothing to laugh about.

Something that struck me hard about Tommy's video was just...

The way he said Technoblade is the coolest fucking person he knows. The present tense. That realization that yeah, even though he's gone he is a cool person. His memory is still alive and so is he and he is a cool, awesome, kind, person.

The idea that yeah, even though time moves on we don't have to leave things in the past. Not the Dream SMP, not Technoblade, not the absolute batshit phenomenon that was this chaotic cluster of streamers and fans.

We can carry it with us and refer to it in the present tense because even if it isn't right here, right now, it's still awesome. Even if he isn't here - he is still awesome.

Something about refusing to let someone become just a memory. Something about keeping them alive. Something about appreciating what we have.

Thank you Tommy. I needed that.

I just... I'm just having a moment.

The Dream SMP was such a critical point for so many people. In the midst of a pandemic, this collection of Minecraft Content Creators got up and created a story that entertained and streamed to millions of people. What gets me is just what was created. So much. So much.

And it was more than just a story. It was more than just a video game. In that moment it was joy. It was joy for everyone stuck at home, it was happiness and jubilation and togetherness given form. It was a way to connect, cry, rejoice and just simply be distracted from the world.

We needed it.

And it wasn't just us. It didn't just mean the world to us and that's beautiful. There was a method of exchange, an equal and opposite reaction because as we were given joy and effort and a chance to be distracted, we gave back. Animatics, fanarts, fanfiction, animations, fansongs, we created. Just as the Content Creators did - they gave us the inspiration and we gave them what we could.

We gave each other what we could. We became a community, invested not only in the story of L'Manburg, of this country, of liberty. and the heroes that gave it life and took it away, but also invested in the stories others created.

We became invested in each other. We created and cared about the creations of others. We bonded.

It's not just a story. It's not just a game. The name Technoblade will never be forgotten. The money raised for charity wasn't just a number. The joy we were given and we gave back isn't to be taken lightly.

I don't know it's just so... special. It's so special to be a part of this, to have shared this moment and been involved with it. To experience these explosions of creation, of joy, of love.

Because even with all the setbacks there is so, so much love. In every corner, in every stream, every piece of art and song and writing.

So much love. I'm so thankful to be a part of it.

There's a lot to struggle with right now but I want to say something because if I didn't post it, I'd lash out at someone and I can't have my grief inflicting harm on anyone other than me.

It's not disrespectful in any way, shape, or form to create art of Technoblade. In my opinion, to treat him like taboo and silence all creative thought about him would be. Grief should not be silent, it should be loud and proud because we loved that man. He was a hero, a champion, a victor, and his fans loved him and knew him, knowing full well he would never know us. And even while he didn't know, he still loved.

What Technoblade's video made clear to me was that he didn't want our relationship with him to change even after he was gone. We will always be nerds, and he will always get the last laugh... And we will always love him for it. We will always celebrate him and honor him, not simply because he's dead but because he lived and his life affected so many of us.

Art is not disgraceful. Fanfiction is not despicable. Music is not distateful.

Techno is our hero and we will tell his stories, write his songs, and show his brilliance as long as we live just so that he may never die.

I think we all need a moment. We just lost a great man and a wonderful person. I can't imagine what his family is going through and I can't imagine the pain his friends are in. I am in tears writing this.

A small part of me desperately hopes this is a joke but the punchline never came and the horror of what has happened has. Technoblade was unrivaled in his humor, his character, his charm, and the way he was able to find a space in all of our hearts. He's irreplaceable, in every way.

He means the world to so many of us and I know there's no way to express that to him. It doesn't feel real right now, and maybe that's denile, but I know I'll never forget him.

Rest in Peace Technoblade.

Your memory, and your legacy, will never die.
