A Xiao spotted after a morning jog on an off-day includes:

Fluffy Chick Mode™. He'd be donning the fluffiest and most comfortable hoodie he has in his arsenal- it just happens to be this one form-fitting eye-popping flaxen dazzler that he swears to Morax is low-key.

Also, will wear his hair in a higher ponytail than usual because the wind loves him a bit too much and has a fondness for lashing his face with his locks. It's a disaster, he says, as if it's making me repent for some past crimes I committed, he expounds unironically and displeased as if the gusts hadn't done him a favor and made him look like the lead to a 20's romcom. He shoots you a look when you made the mistake of telling him so, flattery won't get me on a show with you, I won't be able to stand guard if I myself will draw attention to you.

Had waken up before the sun- so naturally before you. By the time you get your arse off of bed and start meandering around like a zombie he's already lounging on a bench only he could love. It's stiff as hell, it helps with the posture, keeps my spine as sturdy as I need my core to go- to fulfill my purpose, to protect you, he sometimes makes a show and leans back further into the demented seat- muscles rippling, groaning raunchily as he reaches out to offer you the paper bag that previously sat beside him- your breakfast, he gets them during his runs. He also gets you with this behaviour after said runs and he knows it, you get a sly little smile as he looks up at you from his book with a single brow raised, your breakfast's in the baggie, princess, not here.

Will spank your arse when you head off if you flip him the bird, will still spank your arse even if you don't. His hand is his preferred choice of weaponry in this battle, he won't tell but he absolutely loves the feel of your supple flesh in his tight grasp, not to say he didn't particularly enjoy watching his thin novella bounce off your behind that one time he tried tossing it out of a childish whim.

Quid pro quo because you have a bad habit of groping his arse when he's in fitted bottoms- which is 24/7 365.

The 34+35 remix is in his jogging playlist only because you put it there and not because he particularly like it.

Is against wearing earphones whenever he's outside with you unless it's for comms because he cannot afford to be distracted in such a perilous line of work- mostly for your sake. Also, he likes the sound of your voice better than anyone else's, it's music enough for his ears.

Only wears earphones during his jogs alone because he's prone to get unwanted attention from fellow joggers and dog-walkers alike. He is in no way at all a pushover but he does prefer not having to deal with any unpleasant altercations until he has his daily dose of you.

Will make you pancakes if it's something you like. Will definitely suck at it at first though, probably will take about five burned cakes before you have passable ones. Would definitely douse them in syrup, he's got an unrelenting sweet tooth despite his edgy exterior- you might have to hide the maple if you want it to last a week or two.

Sucks at making coffee. He makes it as if it's straight out of hell's pit and finds no problem with it. What do they say about one wanting their coffee to be as dark as their soul? He would retort as if beside his mug of tar weren't a plate of maple syrup soup with a bit of cake and he weren't some sweet Labrador with the fakeass ears of a doberman.

Aces freshly squeezed orange juice like it's nobody's business though- apparently those guns aren't just for heavy lifting and muscling through merciless crowds.

Can cook bacon and eggs but will always burn the edges. Practice does not make him perfect, apparently, and you try not to ask for this as a breakfast option if only to keep him from pouting so early into the day.

a part of me wants to adapt the animated series' colouring technique while another part of me bangs the drums at 'If you aren't going to make it into your style then what's the point???'
