welcome to my yearly “i’m alive” update and continued encouragement to content creators:

i’ve since moved into a new role in my many decades old household name company in a function we’ve never had. everyday, i essentially create content for recruitment. wildly different kind of creative outlet than what i did/seldom do on my personal passion fandom social medias, but i find it wild i get to design things, make videos, and write AND GET PAID??

all that to say that i will forever mentally cite what i did on the blog as a huge skill, passion, and learning project that turned into what my 40hrs a week/sustainable income is. WILD, and thought of this blog tonight for anyone still around, and very grateful 💛

today i had an interview for a very well respected, high market share company, and one of my interviewers asked me, “do you produce any of your own web content on any social media?” (I’m a marketing major) and girl i ALMOST SAID YES I HAVE A COUPLE THOUSAND FOLLOWERS ON A BLOG BUT THEN I WAS LIKE ‘shoot they’re gonna ask me to show it to them i can’t show them the gay sins we commit on here CRAP’ so in the end i was just like “aah… ya know… just my personal Instagram…”

#i’m not high up or anything #but i just think it’s cool how an investment in fandom content creation can translate to what gives you income in other areas #also i was nostalgic for the k on fandom the other day #so if any of y’all wanna send me the discord link again 👌 #i use a new discord acct now and idk how to get to the k on discord now lol
