"Wish" the reinterpretation

Let's see, taking into account everything I have seen about the film, all the comments and all the opinions, and what I think is the fault is that they have chosen the easiest way out.

The typical easy villain and the typical heroine also provide a companion who is the comic relief but who in itself does not satisfy you like the Disney movies did.

What I am going to do is a reinterpretation and try to add typical things from Disney movies so that both children and adults say that it is very Disney.

I'm just doing it for fun, I am not a director or a writer just someone who has seen too many movies, I'm not going to get into animation issues because that is more complicated, just the plot.

The plot begins by explaining the legend or history of the kingdom of Rosas as it was previously ruled by a villain or a tyrant who fed on the wishes of the population and was saved by a boy from the street who was brave and had a good heart. (Who doesn't remember that characteristic because it's typical of Disney heroes Aladdin, Hercules, etc.) Marrying the princess and becoming the king of Rosas.

This is where the story begins since it is Asha who is telling the citizens because the day is approaching when the king grants a wish to a random person.

Here we are introduced to the main character, her personality is very good, very smiling, she has a big heart and what she always wants is to help others and learn about magic.

The king sees this, as we have to remember, he was a street boy, and he sees that she can be his apprentice and help him with the work of the kingdom because, remember, he is not a king.

This reminds me a little of Merlin and Arthur.

Of course Asha, since she is so good, people tend to use it. a very old man, a hundred years nothing more and nothing less a little suspicious, approaches her telling her to please talk to the king granted his wish.

Typical of villains like Jafar, Ursula or Gothel...

Then Asha arrives at the palace with the king and he begins to explain a little how his work is going.

He has to fulfill the wishes that are good for the kingdom and favor the security of the kingdom. But of course he also tells her that there are wishes that are never fulfilled because they can harm others so asha starts to think that the king is not "as good as he seems". She asks him to grant the wish of this nice man she has met and the king has told her no, it is not safe because he knows he is the villain.

Here, the king understands that it is not a good idea to apprentice her because she is very young and very impressionable and people like this villain can come and influence her in a negative way.

Here also a bit like King Triton with Ariel telling him that not all humans are good.

Then she gets a bit sad and goes to wish on a star. This part is a bit like the movie where the star comes and starts granting wishes like that randomly, Not thinking about the consequences.

Suddenly you see the animals talking, revealing themselves to be giant chickens, and the city panics because a 20-meter-long chicken is not normal, so everyone goes to ask the king for help.

And while Asha and the star are messing around you see the king behind them solving all those problems that they are causing a little like the wizards of Waverly place.

And also the problem is that the power of a star is random and you cannot control it and the king knows this well because the same thing happened to him.

What's wrong with the star? They go to this nice grandfather's house and she grants him his wish. What happens is that his wish was to regain the power he lost because of the King, having all the powers again and many more like Jafar with the genie.

Here comes the typical scene of the villain thanking the poor girl and the king arrives to realize that he has arrived too late.

Here there is an epic fight between the king and the villain but of course since he has the powers of the star that are much stronger, he cannot beat him, he takes away his staff and locks him up with the queen.

This is where Asha sees herself betrayed because what she wanted was to do good and the villain tells her "thank you very much but you are no longer needed" and sends her to a lost island. And there is a reference to Aladdin, Mulan and other characters where they have a moment in which they say I screw it.

But of course she is very brave, she is very good and with a musical number she finds the strength to return to the kingdom of Rosas and face the villain.

In the kingdom things are very bad because the villain is feeding on the people's wishes with the help of the king's staff.

Asha arrives and confronts him, she takes the staff from him, she takes away the power of the star, but she is not strong enough to face him, so she frees the king and gives him the staff. The two defeat the villain and lock him in a mirror so he can't harm anyone else.

Here the star grants her the wand and gives her the ability to fulfill people's wishes but Asha does not seem prepared, for all the trouble she caused and she wants to give it to the king.

The king accepts it but on the condition that she becomes his apprentice because we learn from mistakes and she truly has potential, When she is ready she can have the wand and a happy ending.

We have romantic love between the king and the queen who are the typical Disney couple but with the touch that we see what happens after the boy on the street becomes the princess's husband .

We also have the heroine who is strong, good and brave, who learns a great lesson that can benefit the rest of us.

And we have the villain whose only aspiration is to gain power and manipulate others like a good villain.

I think these ideas also have a lot of potential because first we see the king as overwhelmed and sometimes he doesn't believe he is enough for the kingdom and we also have the queen supporting him,Because he is precisely not like the others and that is why she fell in love with him.

The haunted mansion : analysis of 2003 and 2023.

Let's see, taking into account that I like any movie that has a Halloween theme and that is scary but that has a plot ahead of it.

They both have the same focus, telling the story of the haunted mansion but each one does it from a different perspective.

Now foolish mortals, if you haven't seen them, don't read this part.

Let's start with the 2003 Haunted Mansion with Eddie Murphy.

We can start to say that the famous cast of this film is small, leaving more room for the other characters.

Eddie Murphy plays the co-protagonist of the film, in it he is a hard-working father, so much so that he has forgotten about his family, to the point of almost leaving them behind, to see the mansion that is going to be sold.

Here the plot begins, with a suspicious call Eddie Murphy's wife telling them to go see a house they want to sell, they go there and realize it's not all it seems.

This is where it differs from the new one.

The house is not presented to us as being haunted, only in poor condition and that those who live in it are... strange.

They show us how it is haunted little by little and with this they tell us the plot of the legend of the haunted mansion.

When it becomes clear to us that it is haunted, we are introduced to the ghosts that live in it.

Here we are explained why the mansion is enchanted, and how they can free it and save themselves.

And here comes the difference, this movie is scary, it doesn't have special effects, but it doesn't need them, it uses the decoration and the costumes and sound effects to tell a story And remind us that we are watching a scary movie, for children but scary

Or you won't tell me that's not scary.

Now we are going to comment on this year's one, which in my opinion... is very weak, taking into account the first one.

In this movie we are directly shown that the house is haunted and that anyone who enters will be followed by a ghost, so they cannot leave the mansion.

Here we are introduced to the protagonists, the difference is that it is a more famous cast, therefore they focus more on them, but since there are so many of them, they do not have as much time to give them the special role.

The ghosts here are secondary and focus more on the story through the "live" Cast. That's why, in this movie, you don't really get along with the ghosts, because they aren't even given an important role, they're just there, scaring you.

I guess because this movie is more based on the DisneyWorld attraction, and many ghosts are a reference to the attraction, it's more like a "hey look that's from the attraction" and although it's funny, It contributes nothing to the plot.

Now... The villains, in both we have two villains who are ghosts. In the first they have a meaning, a butler pissed off because his master was going to destroy his life for a girl, so what does he do...? I won't tell you.

And the other one from 2023....I still don't understand what the goal of this was, to conquer the world, to make the world a hell, to make everyone ghosts? The intentions of this villain are not clear, but there are many Special effects....too many.

Although it has very cool moments and funny moments, I was neither scared nor interested in its plot, at least that of the house.

Both are good, if you want to be more scared, watch the one from 2003 and if not, the one from 2023.

Again with the Clawthorne-hunter trope

Because since the ending theme is open to interpretation, I interpret it a bit in my own way.

So, at the end of watching and dreaming, we saw Hunter carving palismens, like he wanted, and we met his new palisman, waffles.

And what I find interesting is the choice of the theme of his palisman, many had theorized that when Flapjack died, Hunter would not want another bird and would go for another branch, like a wolf. But the fact that he has chosen another bird reminds me of a phrase that Gwendolyn Clawthorn said " birds are a Clawthorne thing"

And, at the time, I thought maybe they specialized in birds.... But they make more animals, birds are only for the clawthorn family, as a symbol of the clan.

Each member of the family has a different bird, so hunter having a bird as palisman means that he may be part of the clan.

And many people theorize that Hunter stayed with Darius because "Dadrius", but it makes much more sense to stay with tutors who are already familiar with parenting and more tutors who are alone and much more if you want to learn a profession, what better than to stay as an apprentice to one of the few remaining palismans carver?

I'm not saying Darius can't be a good tutor, and I love those au's of hunter and Darius, but taking into account the relationship Hunter and the Clawthornes have in the ending, and the fact he made a bird, that they might be part of the clan.

Of course this is a theory and is open to interpretations of all kinds.

So... You are telling me... That after 8 years of watching miraculous ladybug... Gabriel ends up being the hero?...

Like dude.... Where are those serious consequences that they talked about throughout the series, what could destroy the universe?! Where are they?! I find out that SPOILERS!!!

I learn that the only serious consequence is that Gabriel dies and causes his wife to revive? I mean, you're telling me that I've been 8 years for that to happen? And now the world is wonderful and perfect.

It is that throughout the series they have been telling us how bad it was and how dangerous it could be and everyone saying that the one who was going to die was Adrien, for one life for another.

And now you tell me that not only does Gabriel stay as the hero, but they make him a statue and Adrien doesn't know anything about that. All the abuse he has done to Adrien subliminally, that almost killed Natalie, that has frightened all of Paris and its inhabitants for years? Now nothing matters and he is a hero. Come on!!!

Where are the consequences, where they are?. Are you telling me that I've been watching the series for that finale for 8 years?.

Gabriel has been an obsessive manipulator of his son's life, abused his assistant and put her in danger of death, terrorized an entire city and attacked two teenagers, even though he did not know it.

I'm not saying to give it an ending like Belos in the owl house.

Because he is a genocidal and has tried to kill an entire city. But they do have in common that obsession with bringing back a loved one who should not return, in this case Gabriel's wife.

But i would see well an ending similar to that of King Andrias, where he realizes his mistake and everything he has done wrong and is Banished, but he does it himself.

There is no glorification for him, because what he did was wrong, even if he was manipulated to do it, but you don't put a statue on him.

Gabriel has been given an ending as if he were the hero of the story, as if he were Luz, or Anne.

But they sacrificed themselves for a common good, Anne to save their friends, and Luz to save the collector. But Gabriel? He has done it to fulfill his whim to bring his wife back to life.

I think they no longer wanted to continue with the series and said, let's do an easier ending and let's finish this sh*t.

Or at least this is the feeling that gives me this ending.

As always there are different points of view, but glorifying the villain as if he had done nothing is not to my liking.

So, since spiderman: across the spider verse has opened a very interesting topic among the community: the canon, what is and what is not.

For now, and from what we know from Miguel, Miles is a mistake and everything that is not "canon" affects his universe and destroys it... But there are things that don't make sense.

Thanks to Miles, Peter B. Parker has a daughter, Mayday, and she, technically not "canon" and I don't see her universe collapsing..

Another "canon" fact is the death of the police captain, in this case, Gwen's father, but when Gwen goes to the spider verse , they avoid that canon moment, because the father resigns from this position, thus avoiding the "canon" and I do not see that universe collapsing either.

So... What people pointed out, and myself is that he didn't "die" because of Belos, but because he really drown himself to protect the boiling isles and their family.

He was ready to sacrifice himself and everything he had accomplish for everyone.

If it wasn't for Camilla and everyone else, Hunter would have died with Belos.

Man this show hits even harder every time a new fact is shown.

Evelyn was a clawthorne and so Eda, lilith and Hunter are related, but they don't know.

In the trailer they give us to understand that the collector is going to face Luz, King and EDA and I guess everyone else is going to put it as a kind of dream in which they are going to face I think with their worst nightmares so to speak or as the things that in recent seasons have cost them more.

Ah Amity is dressed as in the second season, Willow puts on her school uniform as in the first season, Gus is dressed as in grom and Hunter, of course, as the golden guardian, because what a better way to traumatize someone than dressing him as the person he no longer wants to be.

HOT TAKE

Belos was able to control at what age the grimwalkers would pop out of the ground.

So, after Fff and a post I saw on Twitter, I started to think that maybe Belos was able to select the age of the grimwalker and here is the thing.

So, In Belos' diary, he explains how grimwalkers are made and some of their characteristics, such as eyes. But in the phases of growth there is a tik in the middle figure, which I believe is the infant/primary phase, that is, a child of 5-6 years. Easier than a baby and more manipulable than an adult.

And my theory is based in some parts of the series where Hunter gives us hints of his past, as in Hollow mind.

First, that he was the YOUNGEST golden guard, meaning that the others were created older on purpose to help Belos and take their title as the Golden guard.

Second, he told Gus that he wasn't actually around the other scouts and only studied, something Belos would do so that he would not be influenced by others, as the other Golden Guard did with Darius.

Meaning not only the scouts weren't able to be with hunter, but also it may mean that the coven heads weren't able to be around him.

That would explain why everyone was so annoyed by him, he was the favorite to their eyes.

Also, in his bedroom there were items that resemble more of a kid's bedroom rather than a teenager, such as the stuffed animal and even toys that he left aside because he is a teenager.

Lastly, when Belos in ftf wanted to possess another grimwalker, this one was incomplete, he wasn't ready yet.

Because, taking into account that Hunter is 16 years old and assuming he was created with 5 years old, this grimwalker was surely prepared after him and with the intention of being a more adult version, due to his physiognomy, he would still have 9 or 10 years left to form completely.

Because in my theory grimwalkers are formed just like a normal human being, if you want a baby, they are 9 months, a child: 5 or 6 years, an adult: between 20 and 25 years and so on, that's why this grimwalker was not yet ready.

Velma, the adaptation we didn't need

I have seen the series, not by Netflix of course, I do not want to give them views and if the adaptations of Scooby doo are usually regular, this takes the prize to the worst of them.

If you have not seen it, you have not missed anything, the only thing it has of Scooby doo are the names of the characters, that's it.

It literally looks like a fanfic that the director of the series has written about herself in which she uses Velma as a vehicle to tell what she does not like about society.

The concept itself is not bad at all, but there are too many series that use this same dynamic to make it striking, literal, too many.

What makes this series more hated than usual, is to present some characters with whom we have raised the vast majority, myself included, and decharacterize them so much that they are no longer them.

the Velma that presents the series, is a teenager edge, critical, toxic, monopolizing attention, with superiority complex that only gets because the other characters have made them stupid.

Norvile is presented to us as a simp of Velma, Fred, besides being the stereotype of heterosexual white boy who hypersexualizes women, is infantilized and on top of that, he also simps for velma and Daphne is reduced to the sexy girl and also, she SIPS FOR VELMA, MY GOD not even the most horrific fanfic of Wattpat do this, Or maybe yes, I haven't read them.

Belos Guardian angel au

As punishment for all the lives he had taken along the way and all the sins he had committed during his 400 years of living, Belos/Philip is forced to be the Guardian angel or the protector of a little girl which is none other than Hunter and Willow's daughter, Evelyn, in honor of Flapjack.

So Evelyn is able to see ghost of Belos but also the other golden guards, Flapjack and Caleb.

So the first time Belos see the little creature his reaction wasn't very amused.

But instead of him helping her, it's more the other way around, Evelyn shows him how happy Hunter is with his new found family, how Luz can cope with having a family in the human and the demon realm, how Clawthornes keep his brother's job alive, showing everything he had lost for being an a**hole.

I like the idea that Belos deep deep deep down loves his brother and deserves a punishment, and what better penance than to be forced to take care of the daughter of the grimwalker that you possessed and tried to kill and that above has the name of the woman you despise for "snatching" your brother.
