heyy i was rereading through your decaying godhood au , and i had a few questions :0

do you have any human refs for az ?

what about human refs for izanami, izanagi, satanael, and/or EMMA ?

i visualize a lot when i read fics so i always love seeing refs :0

The only one that has a complete reference sheet is Azathoth, but I do have most of the others drawn!

Izanami's design is mostly unchanged (aside from her clothes) from how she looks in P4 (though, I may make her hair longer). I don't have anything for Izanagi figured out yet, but these two won't be appearing in DGH for a while! I'll try to have them at least doodled out before they're introduced (❁´◡`❁)

I'm hiding Azzie's ref and Satanael under the cut because they're super old but here's a new-ish Azathoth and Emma!

I'm still iffy on Emma's colours but I think her hair is fun (✿◕‿◕✿)

Satanael might get a new hairstyle, I haven't decided yet... I'm hoping to at least have doodle pages for everyone before they appear in the fic though!

I’m gonna try to not go too crazy explaining the AU, so here’s my attempt at a “condensed” outline of the AU!

So the story of Persona 3 happens normally.. up until Ryoji’s revelation. After Ryoji explains the Fall to SEES and presents them with the option to kill him, Minato is insistent that there has to be another way. Eventually he settles on the idea of removing Ryoji’s status as the harbinger of the Fall, and to do so, make Ryoji human.. the problem is, in this act, Ryoji’s powers would transfer to Minato. Hence the swap part of the AU :)

At first everyone is really hesitant about this, especially Ryoji; he’d much rather put himself at risk than Minato. But he persists and eventually the team agrees to trust him. Ryoji and Minato relentlessly plan to ensure that things go as well as they can. On New Year’s, Ryoji initiates a sort of sharing of powers between the two; since the two exist within each other, I’m really leaning into their out of body connection for this.. if that makes any sense. When the swap happens, Minato disappears, and Ryoji blacks out.

When Ryoji recovers, SEES seeks out Minato in the Dark Hour. Ryoji is distressed that he can no longer sense Minato’s presence and begins to worry that things went terribly wrong. Ryoji is still weak and it’s soon apparent that he’s unable to summon a persona… and being in such danger, as well as being separated from Minato and dealing with a potential massive failure to protect someone so dear to him, he begins an existential crisis. This conflict eventually leads to Ryoji’s awakening, accepting his mortality and strengthening his resolve to fulfill his end of the plan and have faith in Minato… and when Ryoji awakens to his persona, he feels a familiar, comforting presence :)

So tldr, Minato becomes Ryoji’s persona, and the team work to beat Nyx after taking away her little pawn. I have waaaayyy more I could write about the rest of the AU and I even have epilogue stuff planned but I’ve already rambled enough and I mostly just wanted to put these designs out here since I’m super proud of them lol

New specimen of Pseudo-Human observed

Believed to be an evolved form of Performance. Evidence supports that this entity is far more intelligent and emotional than other evolved Pseudo-Humans. This being is the only one with this appearance, which is highly abnormal to other Performance. Height is alarmingly larger than standard Performance deity forms, however its behaviour does not seem aggressive. Fighting styles not yet observed. Hazards not yet identified. Toxic, radioactive, info, hysteria hazards not applicable. Unlike other Pseudo-Human deity states, this being is able to move face into various facial expressions. A brief interview revealed entity is male. Did not want to give a name. Is capable of human speech.

I'm still working on his design but I really like how these concept doodles came out! I really wanted to get designs for Atomus and Evelyn's deity forms down first before I started on Kaegora but I had such a clear image of him that I needed to get down immediately...

My story for him is still a huge WIP but long story short Horace comes into contact with an infected bat and is the first human to successfully contract an infection born from the stars and trapped under the ocean for countless years. Horace dons the form of the Mind Mangler whenever his survival instincts kick in, and typically he has full control of himself. He experiences an intense desire for living brains; using the webbed mandibles around his mouth to latch onto a victims head, his fangs puncture the skull. If a victim dies, they disintegrate into a pile of spores and dust. If a victim survives, it is considered infected, and Horace gains the ability to take control of their body, leaving them a husk of who they used to be. Horace has to learn how to work with his form while he searches for a cure.. that’s most of what I got lol. I got some more lore for the infection / mind mangler form in general but I won’t go off about that … yet :)
