I hope that, in a deep level of the storage units, there's a spy film type of garage, complete with a racing track. An arcade. Franz's snack machines. Heck, put an entire rollercoaster down there, too.

I won't lie, the whole
Zero Hour- raven kills the security chief we know and love
Aftershock- his replacement acts like an extraordinary bitch (even though she's undercover and thus should not be drawing attention to herself) so Laura can easily convince her friends to help her steal the Hunt's location
Setup is perhaps one of the smoothest of the series.
I don't know about you guys, but I never expected anything more to come out of the whole raven-killed-the-security-chief thing because I assumed it was functionally just to show off her competency in regards to being basically one of Zero Hour's antagonists.
...And I read Aftershock before Zero Hour.

What's some random things associated with the H.I.V.E. characters that aren't immediately obvious?
E.g. Nero and fire trucks

Book one posts that I didn't quite think deserved to be posted individually, nor in some big fancy collection like Bloodline
I promise I will have more interesting things to say once I reread more

I refuse to believe H.I.V.E. is evil, not because of the events of the series, but simply because the uniform has trainers as the footware

Oh wait I can't my cat is sitting right on the spot on my bed that I need to stand on to get the books down.
how many coffees would it take to binge read the series in 24 hours straight

I was looking for a particular Rogue extract when I noticed that Cypher was capable of resisting Lucy when she used the Voice.
In Bloodline, Walden backtracked on the whole "strength of will can beat the Voice" to make it so that "if the Voice has permanently messed up your life, you can beat it/if you are granted the ability to do so, you can beat it."
So... what? Is there something I've completely forgotten, or is this headcanon territory?

How have I only just realised Madame Mortis means Madame Death? (genitive)
I took Latin for 3 years, and damn near all we translated for those 3 years had to do with death.

Elaboration because I'm bored and because I can:
I say this due to his implant meaning that he can read a full book in a matter of seconds. Great for absorbing information, but not so great for fiction reading. He gets the answers, the plot twists, the hidden character motivations before the questions or suspicions can even arise*. Reading a book like that and then having it be over before you're fully immersed just isn't fun.
Meanwhile, TV forces him to watch it and take everything in at a regular human pace unless he chooses to speed it up. As well as it being more enjoyable for him as an audience member, the pace being "normal" would certainly be significant to somebody who is about as far removed from a regular human while, to some extent, clinging to the desire of being a normal boy.
But, OP, he could choose to read at a normal pace too, no? It's not like the implant possesses him.
TV would be a more accurate reflection of real life to Otto- after all, he can't exactly fast-forward through conversations, or move through a setting at super-human speed. It's normal.
However, no matter what it is, Otto would be used to reading things fast. Reading at the average human level would be to him like if you or I had to consciously stop reading at the end of every. single. paragraph to just... think about the words. It'd be dull. Even the people I personally know who analyse texts really thoroughly don't do that, and especially not on the first reading. So yeah, this would also completely shatter any hope of immersion for him.
* On edit, I realise this claim has one major assumption: that his suspicions and questions cannot form as quite as quickly as he can read.
And I stand by that.
We spend a lot of time in Otto's head over the series. He's smart, yes, but if he could figure everything out in a snap given limited information, there would simply be no HIVE series.
Furthermore, there's a question of what this device is actually capable of. And the answer is that most of it is fact-based. He can "hack" into databases, he can learn languages really quickly, he can read a manual and apply the information immediately, etc
But what it doesn't let him do is compare humans against some big pre-installed database. He would have realised Laura liked him one hell of a lot sooner if he could just "scan" her demeanour and diagnose her emotions and motivations. He doesn't realise she was lying to him in Aftershock. He doesn't get why staying at HIVE to find out about Nero's half of the pendant is so important to Wing. His implant doesn't let him fully figure out people.
And thus, yes, he would read quicker than questions and suspicions would form.
When it comes to fiction, Otto is 100% a TV guy over a book guy, and I don't care that book 1 says he likes reading.
In fact, I'm going to take this a step further and say that it literally doesn't make sense that he would prefer fiction books over fiction TV/movies.

No clue what this is, but I will use it as an opportunity to say that there is *nothing* to say Tom didn't give Ms Leon one big boop square on her nose in greeting as well as her brief petting

Yes, yes, replacements for the Sun Vitamin exist in pills and food, but it is so much more amusing to think that they open the hangar every other week and the kids just... have to stand there

So, like... were people being slightly unfair to Ms Leon in telling her to calm herself regarding her predicament, or did Pike manage to create cat life extension?
Kali I assume wasn't a kitten at the time of the experiment and Tabitha was stuck in her body for at least 6 years over the span of the series, making Kali's body that of a senior cat by Bloodline. So, with the body nearing the end of its lifespan, time was running out for the Professor for reasons beyond Tabitha being a little impatient.
Personally, I prefer the idea that he managed to slow down the aging of the cat

For obvious reason, no H.I.V.E. staff member can set the final exam.
So this means that there's some G.L.O.V.E. exam board that had to be created- perhaps as an offshoot of the G.L.O.V.E. recruitment department.
So really what I'm saying is that there's an opportunity for not one, but TWO more Evil Acronyms
