The amount of Essek stans who try to make people bigots because them being annoying turned most of the fandom against them is disgusting. I don’t dislike Essek I do dislike his hardcore stans, I’ve never seen a segment of the community argue with the cast more then Essek stans. From arguing he’s not a war criminal (he is, he tortured people that’s a war crime) to arguing that he should get more merch and that he should be included in Mighty Nein group stuff. Spoiler alert Essek isn’t a core member of the nein, Tary in C1 spent more time with VM then Essek ever did with the nein and Tary is rarely included in any VM merch. Essek is an NPC thus why his stuff is released sperate and away from that of the main characters.
Essek is not a core member of the group and y’all need to get this through your heads he will not be included in most mighty nein merch and in the new 2 shots he won’t be traveling with the group. No one is a bigot for not liking Essek in fact the reason most dislike him is because his fans are so damn annoying and make everything about him and any good news is often undercut by them complaining about the lack of Essek. Again no one dislikes Essek because of his sexuality or his race or the color of his skin, people dislike the fans who complain about everything involving him, it’s also ironic because his fans actually fetishize the fuck out of him and strip down his entire personality to him being gay.

For the last time cause I’m seeing this everywhere. Laudna is not undead, she is literally a living being with a heartbeat. Laudna is not an animated dead person she’s a person that was brought back up life through weird magic. Obviously there were some serious ramifications with how it happened but she is not undead.

I see people say that VM might refuse to bring Launda back, how would that work without them killing half if not all the party. Imogen would never allow it, these people who are responsible for her death refusing to help her would piss Imogen off so much. Imogen would attack them right on the spot, Matt clearly has a plan and Keyleth isn’t a liar even if they know Delilah is in there Keyleth has technically told them she’s going to help them if she doesn’t she’s a liar and that’d break Orym’s trust big time. I also don’t think Matt wants VM to be looked unfavorably and them refusing to bring back launda and Keyleth lying to them wouldn’t put VM in the best of lights. Why would any of the BH’s work with them or give them any info.

Just to be clear because I think some are confused, Patia is not Laura’s character that she gave to Marisha. Patia is the character Marisha fleshed out after Laura made the foundation of the character. I saw some posts saying oh imagine Laura doing this, the detect thoughts spell or the accent, the character Marisha is playing is most likely completely different then the character Laura would’ve played. The foundation of the character would’ve been the same but there is no guarantee that they would walk, talk and act the same. Patia if Laura played them would be a completely different character. Just wanted to point this out because it felt like some felt that Laura created this character couldn’t play and just gave it to Marisha which isn’t the case.

One thing I liked about Imogen and Laudna this episode is their situations kind of flipped from the beginning of the episode to the end. You have Laudna at the beginning trying to have a conversation with Imogen and getting the cold shoulder, at the end you have Imogen picking up her hair pretty much by herself (with some help from Orym eventually) as she watches Laudna bond with this new person they just meant. I love it because it shows Imogen that Laudna is a catch and that if she doesn’t want a relationship with Laudna rather that be romantic or a friendship someone else will. I think this is kind of proved to Imogen that she needs to talk to Laudna, cause I don’t think she wants to feel replaced by Dusk and I don’t think she wants to lose Laudna and giving her the cold shoulder may not be the best approach cause she doesn’t want to push Laudna towards someone else.
I just very much like how they swapped roles, at the beginning you were feeling awful for Laudna but at the end you felt bad for Imogen. I think this episode alone will do a lot for their relationship because they’ve felt what it’s like without the other and how kind of sad it is that your best friend isn’t there for you even when you don’t need them, even little jokes don’t hit the same, both looked so gloomy through the entire episode.

Lmao I love how Erika comes in and immediately starts befriending and getting incredibly close with Laudna. Imogen is probably going to get pretty jealous over this cause she doesn’t want to lose Laudna. Maybe I’m reading a little to much into it but Dusk and Imogen have a decent amount of things in common and Laudna immediately attaching herself to Dusk is going to effect Imogen in my opinion considering the weird dream stuff they have in common. I can’t wait until next episode because we either get a Laudna/Imogen talk or Dusk and Laudna continue their friendship with a jealous bitter Imogen, the story no matter what is fantastic.

Just to be clear cause people seem to be forgetting Laudna and Delilah from what we know right now isn’t a regular warlock/patron relationship. Laudna has stated one day Delilah just randomly popped into her head and she’s been there ever since. Laudna has also stated she’s trying to get rid of her and had Imogen look up ways to do that and if she’d lose her powers. People seem to think Laudna willingly went into a pact with Delilah which as far as I know isn’t whats being shown in the show. Laudna isn’t even taking levels in warlock and is canonically practicing her sorcery instead of getting any help from Delilah. I just wanted to point this out because there have been some who think Laudna willingly went into this relationship with Delilah despite the show as of now telling us the exact opposite.

Laura and Marisha are really good actresses that scene at the end broke my heart. Imogen feeling betrayed and Laudna clearly feeling awful and trying to apologize to Imogen despite something horrible just happening to herself.

The amount of entitlement the CR fandom has is insane. Matt has been DMing weekly for pretty much 7 years with a few breaks thrown in every now and then. To see people complain that the main campaign won’t be happening for a month is so entitled. For Christ sake let Matt take a break, an actual break not just a week, I can’t imagine doing what he does week in and week out for over 7 years. My god to see people so upset and say that a month long break for him is excessive is fucking cruel and shows zero empathy. Some seem like they want the cast to leave and retire as fast as possible because forcing them to play every single week without any breaks is a sure fire way to cause burnout.

I love how you can tell who watched EXU and who hasn’t based on people freaking out over Imogen and Bertrand being in the intro and thinking it means something when the intro is just moments from previous campaigns. Like the intro for the summer show had Trent/Essek, had the cobalt soul logo, the sun tree, Caleb with the beacon, the conclave attack. It doesn’t really mean anything it’s just a big moment that happens in C3 that’s really it there’s not much other significance to it. I don’t think it’s going to be tied into EXU or anything.

Why do so many people in the cr community have the go to relationship between two people of the same sex be one of like siblings. I saw someone call Fearne and Laudna’s relationship like two sisters who like to get into trouble. Fearne literally in last nights episode said she wanted to fuck the entire party. I don’t understand this, we know the cast flirt with each other and make sexual jokes in character towards each other all the time, are there people who actually do or say that type of stuff to their siblings. Nothing to me is weirder then saying two characters have sibling type relationships when they constantly make sexual jokes like having orgies and shit.
The Laudna/Fearne example is just one example I saw, not to mention every single female friendship in CR history is also sisterly. Like two women can be friends, there is no need to act like every single relationship between two women is sisterly.

The CR community really needs to learn what a war crime is. I saw someone on twitter get mad that Essek was called a war criminal because they’re using it wrong only to like a comment in which the commenter called the M9 war criminals and were using the definition wrong. A war criminal is someone who breaks the laws of war, like taking a hostage, killing a POW, torturing a POW, all things Essek did in the show. The nein and only Beau, Caleb and Veth would be accused of treason for what why did to the empire and for the dynasty, that is not a war crime treason is something completely different.
We saw Essek kill a POW just cause it was an assembly agent doesn’t mean it doesn’t count. So please shut the fuck up about how Essek isn’t a war criminal because you like him. He 100% is you can still like him it’s fine it’s a fantasy world where 90% of the people are kind of awful it’s okay you like him. You don’t have to act like he wasn’t a bad dude and wasn’t a war criminal he was, but he can and did change.

The declining viewership of a majority POC show in EXU wasn’t even the most disheartening thing it was seeing that CR technically was making more money off twitch not streaming at all. CR in the middle of the pandemic while on hiatus had 13k subs, towards the end of EXU they only had 11.5k. If you’re CR and you see these numbers they speak loud and clear it’s not like they didn’t HEAVILY market the show, you can make an argument it was marketed more then C3. As POC I’m done giving a majority of you the benefit of the doubt because the numbers say a majority of you would not watch a CR show that is a majority of POC. These are just the facts, CR makes 90% of their money off the back of their main show. The animated series, the books, the merch, the comics is all popular because of the main campaign, you guys showing no support for others makes it nearly impossible for them to make changes.

As a person of color it’s really annoying seeing people just tweet support and never do shit, the CR community does this constantly. One of the CR shows in EXU had a majority of the cast being POC and guess what happened views dropped each and every week. You mother fuckers couldn’t even support a majority POC show for 8 episodes, the finale had less live viewers then some of their sponsored streams they do, 35K total on both YouTube and twitch for the finale. The YouTube stream currently does around 40K weekly by itself.
I see a lot of these tweets about how CR should become more diverse and how what they’re doing isn’t great but none of the people tweeting that do ANYTHING to help POC. Travis left the table for a few weeks and Robbie was there and while Robbie got praise every single critter on twitter and twitch was upset at the lack of Travis. These same people now are making tweets about how the cast should be more diverse when they were the ones upset Travis wasn’t around. I guarantee you that if CR did have a more diverse cast a majority of you wouldn’t watch just like you didn’t with EXU.
As a POC it’s just annoying because I know none of you give a shit and a majority of its just fake outrage. A majority of you would rather watch the Beauyahsa or Essek/Caleb compilations then give a POC focused D&D show any attention. I have zero problem with the people who are quiet and do this but damn these people who pretty much rewatch CR 6-7 times then complain about its lack of diversity annoy me greatly, maybe with that time you could watch some other shows, at least then your criticism would have some merit.

Tess Fowler would have so much more credibility with half her shitty opinions on CR if she ever actually stopped talking about CR like she claimed she has. She talked about how she rarely talks about them but her entire personality now is bitter former CR artist and all she does is talk about them. She literally likes nothing they do and she even shat on the animated series. It’s fine you personally don’t like it’s just funny to see her ask for opinions on what others think and then only like the ones shitting on CR. Again it’s odd how CR has worked with hundreds of artist over the years and only she and one other (who’s working with her coincidentally) have problems with CR. Her claims would be so much more impactful if she ever shut up about CR again like she claimed she has but she hasn’t she constantly talks about them.
Also she backed that lose better dude who is a known racist and misogynist because he also went after CR. She immediately after that in my opinion lost all respect from me. She does nothing but try to tear down CR and send out negative CR propaganda, her words would hold weight if she wasn’t a part of the group like lose better who can’t keep CR out of their mouths.
Also FYI if she does see this for that little tell all CR thing your doing and are asking for anonymous submissions from people who’ve been wronged by CR you better have them show a shit ton of evidence cause if you say something that is a flat out lie and you know it’s a lie you can be sued for libel. I have journalism degree and you better 100% fact check all your shit because your history would make this an easy win in court for CR.
