My name is Olivia and I go by she/her pronouns! My main account is @an-emptyblog so replies, likes and follows will be from that account! This blog is about my fish. My bettas are Aegon(Copper), Blueberry(Dumbo), and Lemon(Globetta). I have a dwarf puffer named Ramsi. I also have a 40 Gallon community tank! My other animals may make appearances every once in awhile. *Anti-Sorority* *Discourse Free* Feel free to ask me any questions about bettas or tropical fish since I know most about them. I can also try to help with other fish questions or direct you to somebody who can!I have an Instagram account for the bettas now! It's @thebettacult. You get a lot more pictures of each betta on there than you do on here!
I noticed that I’m not very active here anymore so I wanted to let you guys know that I have multiple Instagram accounts that you can see my animals on!
CC is doing well! As feisty as ever thankfully. She’s been started on Prazipro because of what her poop looks like in these photos so hopefully that’ll get her back on the mend!
I don’t know how long ago you guys replied to my post😕
Thank you so much for your replies! She’s doing well, but you can still see the spot where all this was happening so I don’t think it’s fully healed. I’m still doing aquarium salt baths and changing her water with IAL water. I never thought about a parasite infection. I noticed her poop was a little stringy, but it was still solid brown so I never thought of it. I did however notice her poop was sorta clear two days ago and started her on prazipro! Fingers crossed that I caught it in time and she doesn’t pass from it!
I need some help.. Seems as though CC’s bump didn’t go away, the swelling just went down for a few days. But now there’s either an active hole in her side or something cause white stuff(looks sorta like eggs..) is coming out between her scales.. Do I euthanize her? She’s acting the same. Wiggled to see me and ate two pellets before I noticed what was going on.. I just don’t know what to do at this point
I guess what I’m asking is if it’s possible for her to recover from because I know I need to euthanize her
I didn’t euthanize her. I feel bad about it still, but I couldn’t do it as she was begging for more food.
She doing fine still. Wiggling for food when she sees me near the tank and searching for snails when she doesn’t know I’m there. I gave her a salt bath after I noticed it and added IAL water to her tank so it’s got a good bit of tannins in it. I also added some stress guard to her tank while she was in the salt bath.
I did a small water change yesterday and replaced the water with the IAL water. Her scales were still there and I couldn’t see anything coming out yesterday, but they were still pineconed, slightly less than the day before.
Today I plan on doing another small water change and topping off with IAL water to make it basically black water. I also plan to give her another salt bath today. It’s hard to see anything in that spot since she recently turned white in the area, but when I checked today it looks like the scales on top of the area have fallen off. It doesn’t seem like there’s a hole there, but I’ll have to cup her to get a good look since she’s so wiggly.

I love how you name your bettas❤️ I honestly couldn’t remember who he was at first, but I remember now!
I wanted to let you know that the plants you have in the back(ribbon plants) will melt eventually as they’re not fully aquatic even though pet stores sell them as such😕 They can survive in water if just the roots are in it though like pothos!
Meet Commander Thorn, my brand new halfmoon koi betta! Since I name my bettas after clone troopers, and he has black, red, and white markings I named him after the trooper who died trying to protect Padme.
