It seems pointless at times. You’re always chasing something, there is no break.

I want it to stop.

I want it to pause.

Do you know, those kind of people who are bothered by even a slight shift in energy?

That's me.

If someone doesn't talk to me nicely, i think for hours about it, if someone looks at me differently i go into an overthinking spiral.

I let my mood be affected so much by these small things, how can i control people? I can't. But i can atleast control my emotions?

Ya that doesn't happen, it's well —

The problem is, i go into this spiral, maybe the other person was just busy, maybe that's why they said "hi" instead of "heeyy!!".

But no, i have to overthink it and ruin my mood.

Anyways, last year i wrote a letter to "future me".

I got that letter today, and a few lines made me emotional,to quote

"I hope wherever you are, you're happy. You have put in a lot of hardwork to be where you are today."

Life isn't easy. It isn't supposed to be. Everyone goes through hardships, everyone faces challenges but sometimes we feel as if "why do we always have it worse than others?". It used to cross my mind too, but guess what, the harsh truth is, there will always be people "better off" than you and always be people you're "better off" than. That's just the circle of life, but pausing and learning to appreciate the little things you have is what matters. Being grateful for everything in your life, being positive. Stop comparing, Start living, Peace is the best gift you can give to yourself and that will only come when you stop idolizing an "ideal lifestyle". There's never gonna be one - you would just keep wanting more and more. Never stop fighting for your dreams, but while you do so, always remember to be appreciative of what you have. To thank god, universe for everything. Maybe things aren't looking good right now, but remember nothing lasts forever. Pray to the Universe, you do not know the power of prayers.

Once you set your vibrations in alignment with your goals, there’s nothing that can stop you from achieving your dreams. You would have heard about law of attraction, to summarize in short you can have anything i repeat ANYTHING in this world if you DARE to DREAM AND BELIEVE IN IT. But remember, Law of Attraction won’t work if you just sit on your bed dreaming about it - you have to put in the effort while constantly reminding yourself what it would feel like when you achieve it. The stronger your vison, the higher your vibration-leave no chance for doubt.

Put a date - eg by 21st December 2021 i will have achieved _____. Once you’ve put ur intention in the universe all that’s left is working towards it.

Since the past 1 year I have become a HUGE BELIEVER in LAW OF ATTRACTION.

There’s a movie “The Secret” which you can watch to learn more about it i simply can’t put everything here, or read the book “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne.

Trust me - your mind will be blown. . . . . . . . . . . .

How many times as a woman have you been told that you achieved something, because of the way you "looked" or "dressed"?

It bothered me alot initially, because no one saw the sleepless nights, the efforts behind, the hardwork i put in to achieve something, and everytime i did something someone would come in and tell me something like "you got lucky". I have been told by "male friends",should i even call them friends? To wear red lipstick and skirts to interview, to unbutton my shirt a bit, to dress "nice" and no need to do anything else.

There's a general notion, that a girl can't be technically sound enough. Something i faced each day as an Electrical and Electronics engineer. It's been years and I'm growing and learning each day- and the best revenge ever has been to keep on working towards your dreams no matter what. Because one day these are the same people who'd want to talk to you and learn how it's done.

To all my hardworking women, don't let this get to you. I was immature back then but now i know, such comments come from people who are insecure about themselves hence try to belittle you.

Repeat after me- "I have worked really hard for everything i have today, i deserve it and I'm really proud of myself".

Be the badass you are and achieve everything you can dream of ✨

Remember this - "the people who talk behind your back are behind you for a reason". And this goes for everyone out there - man or woman.

You can never change the thinking of such people - but you can smash patriarchy by doing whatever you want and not caring.

8:00 Am

The city which carries my dreams might look mundane to some. The hustle bustle, cars honking away, each one in such a hurry to reach their corporate cubicles. The chaiwala's are crushing ginger, as the college students gather to "smoke one" with chai before they reach their college.

The school kids can barely walk, the weight of books making them slouch.

The housewives are busy packing "dabba" for husband and kids. I wonder do they ever get to eat hot fresh food themselves?

The machwara has just laid down a fresh net hoping if today's catch is slightly better than yesterday he will be able to save some money.

The drunkards lay unconscious, the city doesn't disturb them.

But today as i sit in my balcony,

The mundane looks new to me,

The air seems a bit fresher,

And for a short amount of time,

The city noise,

Feels like harp,

Maybe the mundane isn't that bad after all,

Maybe the city which carries your dreams, is extraordinarily ordinary.

9am.

It's a weird feeling - standing in the queue to visit my dermatologist. I sometimes wonder why are we conditioned in a way to believe that anything other than smooth buttery skin is abnormal?

I have lost my self confidence because of this - sometimes i feel guilty, that something as trivial as acne could shake the very confidence one takes years to build.

My parents have stood like rocks with me, i could possibly never afford this myself - all they care about is seeing me happy, and that is why i choose to fight. Each day.

Sometimes i also stumble across people who say I'm making it "a big deal", i mean i try not to bother anyone but the truth is no matter how trivial for anyone else- it shook me up and my confidence.

But I'm on the road to self confidence once again and yes it was a journey - which moulded me so much. The purpose of sharing this was to convey - your fights matter - no matter how trivial it seems to others. Keep holding on keep fighting - battle scars are beautiful.

And i believe - we're all warriors in a way.

Hello Tumblr family,

As i sit here to write, i wonder is anyone really reading ever? Today world has changed so much from what it used to be, i don’t feel one is ever alone while on the internet. But why am i here with random ramblings? I don’t know- i usually post journals and try to maintain the aesthetics too ,but instagram doesn’t care. It’s become too complicated for my understanding. I somehow don’t understand tumblr much too lol. (Hear it’s coming from an engineer). Nah i’m just lazy to figure it out, if your’e still reading your’e probably bored like me. 

But do checkout my journals, on my instagram page- or here , or don’t idc. If you are wondering if this writing will be regular - probably not, might delete it next day itself.

It’s 1am as i write this.

I read this quote somewhere and it keeps resonating in my mind  “You have been given two lives- the moment you realize you have only one , the second one begins”.

What if i’m still living the first one?
