The way she spoke to him felt impersonal and less business in design. If she were to be his partner, they would need a better understanding. “I’m not the king; My lord is not on par with what we are doing here today.” He began to gather the papers when she asked for copies. Of course, it was in their rights to request them. “Do you wish to wait, or shall I send them hereafter?” He asks, noticing the way she was looking at him then.
Though he knew he had trouble reading people, he almost felt as if she was trying to look into him. “As am I.” He spoke only to respond to her without causing awkwardness in the silence. “I also understand your family must be ready to end the loss of you from their presence.” Knowing the troublesomeness of traveling to and from, just to settle past issues.
“I do hope your parents do not think ill of this situation or even myself for causing this interval.”
“But you do hold the title of lord before your name, do you not?” she replied curiously with a head tilt. “Does that not mean addressing you as ‘my lord’ is appropriate, especially considering our difference in status?” She gave a slight smile before replying. “I can wait as long as I do not impose on you or your staff. If it is preferred, you can send it after I have gone.”
His comment caused another smile to cross her. “You are truly considerate, but my family will not be much more fearful if I am gone for slightly longer. With our travels for business, we are well aware that many things can delay the travel. The trip to your estate was so calm, they might expect I have another day left before I even arrive.”
Wanda shook her head. “On the contrary. My mother is ashamed of what my father’s request did for our families, and they both regret not telling us sooner and forcing me to find out the way I did. My father was hoping you were initially requesting business with no awareness of what happened between them.”

“Caleb doesn’t really enjoy anything unless it’s dangerous,” He noted, “I suppose target shooting might interest him, otherwise he’s a smuggler, get off on the possibility of getting caught”
“There must be a scenario that gives him the same thrill of danger without actually being in danger.”

“I do not want to make anyone uncomfortable, and when I get flustered it is hard for me to continue a conversation sometimes.”

“Well when you do not have a job or children to look after, it is a good use of time as long as you are safe.”

He nodded, “Yes,” he assured her
She sighed with relief and kissed him softly. “It has been a while since I have felt this way.”

Hesitating again, he let out a breath, resting a hand on to the table in between the two of them. His fingers lightly rapped the wood, his chin jutting as he tried to come up with an answer that he felt comfortable with. Truth be told he didn’t feel comfortable in general with this, so he knew he needed to come up with something regardless.
“I… had to move a lot. My Father was a drunk and a gambler. I thought my Mother dead.” Clearing his throat, he looked down at the hand he had on the table, shrugging a single shoulder all the while. “I had a doll. I like to play with my doll. When my Father left me, I learned how to spin with the spinsters that took me in. I enjoyed that. A great deal.” A pause and he shrugged again. “I couldn’t read terribly well until they taught me.” Only enough to help his Father with his little scams.
She looked at his hands and was curious if he was reaching out to her. It suddenly became hard to breathe for that brief moment. When he started drumming them, she realized he meant it more to observe her and ponder his next move like they were playing a chess game. She sighed and waited patiently for an answer.
When helping her people after ogre attacks, she always tried to hear her stories to understand other’s perspectives. She had heard sad tales of lost parents and ones who were drunks or neglectful. But being taken in by spinsters was not one she had heard before. She gave a soft smile. “It is a good thing you did. My mother always thought that books were the most powerful thing in the world and it was important all could learn to read. She even had me learn other languages so I had as much power as I could.” She blushed. “I’m sorry. I got carried away.”

Will probably shouldn’t have taken a sip of his drink when he did, because when Emma said what she said about repairing kitchen appliances, he laughed, which didn’t turn out well for him. He coughed a few times, and grabbed a napkin to wipe his face. “Well, I suppose that’s not a bad thing if you do end up repairing them in the end.”
She rubbed his back to help him recover from the coughing. “Sorry. I didn’t expect that you would laugh so hard at that.” She pulled away quickly to not make things awkward. “I made my best attempt, but there’s a reason that I never became a repair man in any of my past jobs.” She chuckled softly. “I really just make things worse...” Her smile faded. “Maybe I am making things worse for my son...”

“There are a few places she could stop at to get warmth or supplies. I will hit those places when I leave here.” Or there was a chance someone from town was out in the woods at that time and was able to help her.
“All magic is dangerous. It comes with a price.” One he’d seen many times before and maybe this was her price to pay for hold it in for so long that it was finally free and uncontrollable. “But we will figure that out later. Your magic isn’t like that I’ve seen before so maybe yours isn’t one of those I will do a spell for you but at a price things.” Which would be better for Elsa in the end that she wouldn’t have to give someone some sort of wish and then it becomes worse than what they wanted kind of deals.
“With all due respect to the rock trolls, unless they can do your magic then they got no clue what they are talkin’ about. Is it dangerous, yeah maybe, but they were only seein’ the bad in your magic. Not the good, the beautiful. Look at this castle Elsa. Look at the way you shaped the ice and then look out at the snow. It’s unique, beautiful, much like yourself.” The wolf offered a genuine smile. “Believe in yourself. Be confident in who you are. You’re Queen of Arendelle, and there isn’t a evil bone in your body, maybe scared and angry, but you ain’t like the Evil Queen in the Enchatched Forest.”
“The gates have been closed since we were children,” she explained. “She has not been out of the palace as long as I have. How do we know she can navigate a snowstorm?” It was hard for her to not fear the worst about her sister. If the storm she caused led to Anna being harmed in any way, she would never forgive herself.
“But I do not want a price to be my sister or my people. They should not have to suffer because of me.” She sighed and shook her head. “I don’t think I am lucky enough that my magic does not come with a price. I just wish I could make sure that I always pay the price for my own powers.” This was not a question. As a queen and as a caring woman, she would gladly take on the suffering for others.
She couldn’t help but laugh at his comments about the rock trolls. “They seem to have a good understanding on these types of things.” Her cheeks went red at all of his compliments. For most of her life, she feared her powers as did everyone around her. It was the first time in a long time when anyone saw her powers for all they could do. “Ah...yes I have heard of her. I can’t imagine being as consumed with dark magic like her or The Dark One.”

Parker tried to think of a good way to explain his fears. He didn’t even really want to call them fears. “I just… it’s not so much about living a mundane life or not, I just… There’s so much out there. So much the world has to offer. I want to see all of it.” He took a sip of his drink. “I know I can’t actually do that, but, whenever I am in one place for too long, I end up feeling this longing feeling, this need to move on, and explore what else there is.”
She smiled and nodded with understanding. “The world can be very exciting. Every country is so different, and I would love to see the world to understand it all.” Her head tilted out of curiosity. “But does it never get lonely? Don’t you wish you had a family or someone coming with you all the time?”

“It is how it always has been.”  She said.  “Considering that he was new to the Avengers before Thanos it is not surprising.”  She said.  “No, other then in passing.  The first time I met any of them was when they came here to stop Thanos.”  She said.  “With the exception of Bucky, but that is because I helped him.”
“I was also very new...sort of. I wasn’t brought in until Thanos since they didn’t really know about me except for Fury...” She gave a shrug to show it did not bother her. She had been doing other important things around the universe. “They clearly don’t know how much you could help him.”

“Right.”  He said.  He took the money and put it in his pockets.  He held his hand out for his sister so that he could scoop her up when she was ready so that the two of them could go to a store.  He figured there was a store they could get to would be downtown somewhere.
She took a deep breath and braced herself for him to take her to whatever store he can find. “We don’t need to go too far, but far enough that they will not be looking for us right away.’

Lord Shade allowed the woman to take the pen from his grasp. His eyes settled on the female as she read everything over. It had been a very long while since he shared the presence of a woman. Even more, one as interesting as the Maximoff name. “Is anything out of place?” He asks just as the woman had turned her eyes back to him. Meeting her gaze with his own felt like a true first meeting. The man felt his heart leap inside his chest at the woman’s intensity.
Only to ease himself as he watched her sign the papers. His body shifted as the man took a step back from the woman. Averting his eyes briefly as he tries to regain his emotions. “Good,” Victor speaks before his face turns back to the female.
“Of course, if your family has any issues. I will look forward to a letter and reasons why we might change the agreement at hand.”
Her eyes lingered on him for a while longer. A strange feeling stirred within her like a magical surge of some kind. It was hard to explain, and even harder to look away. There was something there she could not fully explain. She cleared her throat before looking back down to finish reading the contract. “Everything seems perfectly in order, my lord.”
She was focused on the document, so she did not notice the change in his posture after signing. “It is settled. Perhaps a copy of this contract can be made for my family’s records? I will brief them on our conversation and an overview of its contents, but a copy of our own would be useful for bookkeeping.”
“That is greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to our new partnership.”

“As soon as I get done here I will see if I can trek her out. I know she went this way, she may have stopped at that trading post and that is where I will start.” If he knew Anna like he’d seen her through the past few months working as a guard the wolf knew that Anna was stubborn enough to survive this.
“Probably because you were told to keep it all in. Only so much that you can do when it all comes out.” In the form of the worst storm he’d seen in all time, but hell he couldn’t blame Elsa for it.
“It’s not a curse. Whoever told you that didn’t do right by you. It’s like me the first time I turned no control over the wolf. Yours is in the form of ice and snow but hey we all can’t turn into hairy beasts.” He joked, trying his hardest to keep the air light. “Anita told me once that it’s not about the control. It’s about accepting who you are and what you are. And in your case what you can do.”
She took a deep breath, relieved someone was there to help her through all of this. “I just hope nothing horrible happens to her before we can go find her...” She was trying to keep herself calm. Cerberus was right about her being too worked up doing no good for everyone.
He had a good point. Was this all bottled up and now it had burst out of her? It was hard to figure out exactly what the best route was now to keeping her powers safe. Had she really been making herself worse by concealing all these years?
“I know it can be good, but it can also be dangerous. That is what the trolls predicted when I was a child...” she explained. “They said there could be great beauty, but he said there will also be great danger.” She chuckled at his comment about a hairy beast. Maybe one day she could have the confidence he did. “How can I do that when accepting who I am caused all of this?”

A tilt of his head in agreement and acknowledgement, Rumple simply smiled a small smile in kind. He couldn’t imagine Belle any other way; she was delicate but strong, fierce and smart. Beauty beyond compare. Inside and out. Her courage was second to none; she was a much braver person than he felt he had ever been in his many years.
Hesitating a moment, Rumple took the cup from her and looked down at it, biting on the inside of his bottom lip. He didn’t wish to speak of them, but he knew that Belle deserved to know something. “Dark,” he replied simply, not really sure how he could gather the courage within himself to elaborate further.
It was always nice when he let her see a smile. It showed that there was a man in there who wanted to be happy...who deserved to be happy. If only he would let her in more. It would take time. Like peeling the onion, it would take time for him to show this side of him. Patience is key. That is what she had to keep telling herself in that moment.
“Okay...” she nodded, giving the hint that she realized that was a sensitive subject. “What about your childhood?” she asked curiously. “What are things you liked to do? Did you like to read and stay inside or did you explore everywhere you could?” She was hoping maybe his childhood outside of his parents would be something he was okay talking about.

“Givin’ me a choice?” A nervous chuckle escaped him. Bad idea. He was known for making bad choices, and he wasn’t quite sure what to think of it right now. Did she want this to be a date? Or perhaps he was just overthinking everything again now, as so often. “Maybe we jus’ shouldn’t…put a label on it,” Eric eventually suggested.
“Of course. I want you to have as much of a choice as I do.” She gave him an encouraging smile. It was hard to not imply what she was hoping for, but she tried to keep a neutral look on her face. With his respond, she nodded with a smile. “I think that’s a good idea. It will just be a nice night out. That’s the only label we need right now.”
