Hello American Dragon: Jake Long fans!
You may or may not be aware that January 21st 2025 is the 20th anniversary of Jake Long! Not only that, but this anniversary also marks the 'tail' end of the Year of the Dragon, which has its last day on January 28th, 2025.

In light of all this, we are running a week-long fandom event starting from the 20th anniversary date, hosted on tumblr! The event is planned to feature 7 prompts, where fans will post a fanwork inspired by that prompt for every day of ADJL Week!
Fanart, fanfics, drabbles, sketches, playlists, edits, giftsets, cosplay, and anything else you can think of are all welcome. You can participate for the entire week, or just for one or two days, its entirely up to you!
We are now taking suggestions for one or two-word prompts! (Some examples are Rain, Unlikely Duo, Reunion, etc.)
We'll be posting a followup poll after prompt suggestions are collected so the community can vote on their favorites. Be sure to follow the @adjl-week blog and keep an eye on the #adjlweek tag so you don't miss the poll, or the results.
Anything Jake Long related is fair game to be created during the event, except NSFW/18+ works! This is so the event can be accessible to as many fans as possible. That means crossovers, AUs, fan-characters, etc. are all welcome and encouraged!
Hey so you can keep saying “Bryke are the reason NATLA is so bad” as much as you want. There were several layers of producers, directors, writers, executives, and more that came in after they left that approved of the show and had more power than Bryke to change the story, and they gave us dogshit. Even if you have your unfounded hate boner against them, the responsibility of the final product was on the people who ultimately did the majority of the work on the show, that being NOT Bryan or Mike, and it fucking sucked.
It’s parallel to how you can hate Bryan and Mike so much for either petty or completely made-up BS but they were ultimately the creative heads of ATLA, which you love and cherish.
Also if you’re gonna pull the “tHeY hAvE sOmE wRiTiNg CrEdiTs In NATLA” card, that doesn’t matter. If a shitty singer does a bad cover of a good song by a good artist and publishes it, the original good artist gets writing credit. They had credits on M. Night’s movie too because they created the original show. That’s a completely null and void point.
