It's time to officially announce the AvaTrice Big Bang!!!

Now that Warrior Nun is officially renewed, join us as we celebrate with an event to help encourage collaboration within the community and create a load of amazing works for the fandom we all love.

Writers will each pair up with an artist to work together to create a piece around the same prompt and then post at the same time!

The event is open to writers of both fanfiction and social media AUs and to both artists of any kind and animators. There is no requirement for skill, you just need to be able to commit to producing a complete piece.

Sign Ups for the event will open on August 21, so note the date down on your calendars and keep your eyes peeled on our social media for more information!

are there like, polycule soulmates in the universe of your nuns can fuck au?

Yeah, absolutely! I touched on this a bit in this ask, but to get more specific, each member of the soulmate polycule will have numerous parts to their Letter, so in the instance of a trio, each of the three will have two separate indicators as to who their soulmates are, to speak to that person's connection with each person in the trio. Obviously this means that polycules are Church-acceptable (lol) but they're more rare than a 1:1 match. I don't have any Warrior Nun OT3s though, so it hasn't shown up in universe yet!!

ahhh thank you so much. It's hard to be in a non-fandom or non-writing mood when it feels like there's a lot of pressure with an unfinished story. It's a relief to know there are nice people like you who don't mind waiting a bit while I recharge the fandom batteries and whatnot. <3

I’m obsessed with your soulmate AU and the lore behind it. Did you have to have it all written and mapped out to keep track or does it all just live in your head?

It kind of just lives in my head! I have a few things written down in my Notes app on my phone, but I'm not really an outline type of person (sadly!) so it's more vibes and ideas. I know for SURE this is going to come back to haunt me because I'm going to contradict myself at some point, so I apologize in advance. hfkjsd I'm so glad you like the fic though! Sorry it's been a solid month since I last posted; I've been taking a fandom break, but I do plan on getting back to this fic in the future. :)

“Is that a hickey?” Lilith yanks at Beatrice’s gi again, and Beatrice nearly yelps at the way it exposes her collarbone and the mark that is, in fact, absolutely a hickey from two days ago.  She could grapple her way out of this, but then the chances of Lilith letting the whole thing go will evaporate and she’ll keep pushing until Beatrice answers.

“It– no,” Beatrice says indignantly.  She’s never been a very good liar when Lilith is concerned, but it’s worth a try.  

“It is,” Lilith says, fingers tight at Beatrice’s gi.  “Those are teeth marks, Beatrice.”

golden hour - chapter five

“So let me get this straight.”

Camila grins. “Funny coming from you.”

Beatrice purses her lips, staring blankly at Camila over her glass of water. “You make that joke every time and it’s never once been funny.”

“I respectfully disagree,” Camila says with a wide grin that forces Beatrice to roll her eyes and look away before she breaks into one of her own.

“You’re going to spend the whole day here cooking?”

Camila nods as she pulls more groceries out of the many many bags she brought along with her from the market. “Yep! Ava wants to learn some fun dishes to make and we sorted out a few things to work on - which include breakfast, lunch and dinner. We’re making a day out of it.”

An uncomfortable wash of frustration passes through her. She lets it settle in and pass before saying anything because she knows it’s ridiculous. She just didn’t know Camila and Ava were that close. “You planned all of this with her?”

“Oh yeah,” Camila starts digging out various pans and putting them on the stove in preparation. “Among other things, we decided on some meals and I helped her deal with her date and-”

“Wait, what?”

Camila grimaces. “Oh right, I probably shouldn’t have mentioned that. It’s not my place.”

Beatrice feels a pit in her stomach. “I - I didn’t hear about her date. She was working with Suzanne all day yesterday and…I heard JC leave when he dropped her off. It wasn’t that late”

“Bea, it’s not my place.”

“Right,” Beatrice nods and lets it go. It’s not her place either. She shouldn’t care. She doesn’t - why should she? Ava is her own person and a very desirable one at that.

JC is a smart man for taking a chance.

Perhaps smart is a stretch, but he has more courage than her.

It doesn’t matter, Ava is a friend and that’s enough.

First of all, we have luminous beings from @daisychainsandbowties!! Star Wars AU. soooo fucked up in the best way. the chapters leave you half in a daze (and I mean this as a good thing) and the way this author weaves in the bits and pieces of the characters' pasts is absolutely incredible.

Next we have and there it is, a mark of the divine by understreetlights. THIS fic is like taking a warm bath at the end of the day. It's like wrapping yourself in a blanket and sitting by the fireplace. It's like the nicest hug you've ever experienced. It's soft and it's incredible and everyone should read it.

Then there's the gods we can touch by @thecousinsdangereux!! Canon Compliant during the Switzerland Months(TM) turned lowkey fix-it. The entire series that this fic is included in is incredible, but I have a soft spot for this one since it was the first I read. Very soft. Very pining. Very phenomenal.

the life left behind by @littledata. exes to awkward friends to real friends to loves. fantastic vibes, some really good communication, and genuinely just a feel-good fic. Very much recommend. I read the whole thing in one night and had no regrets.

i want to meet you in every place i ever loved by phwaa. this is how you lose the time war AU!!!! HELLO???? if you know anything about that book, you know how insane this fic will be. If you don't know that book, first of all you should read it, and also this fic works as a standalone too. Not-really enemies to lovers. Phenomenal.

And of course, last but not at all least, who needs comfortable love by @the-ominous-owl. Sentient Halo AU. Exactly what it sounds like! Starts from the end of s1 and goes from there with a heavy emphasis on the Switzerland Months. The Halo is alive, and it's got a crush on Beatrice. This fic is fantastic, and everyone should read it.
