I Can See You [18 | 04 | 2024]

I will forever be both jealous and longing for every single version of me in those infinite pools of parallel universes. I can only hope they are doing better, and exploring the things this person is thinking about doing.

One version of me is a rural surgeon, settled on a reservation, helping those that don't otherwise have access to healthcare. They graduated top of their class but never mention it. Weekends are spent volunteering, surfing, walking around the independent stores and cooking. They learned to cook, and tried a new thing every week. They're sure about who they are. They never shy away from anything. People respect them, but not in an intimidating way. They are listened to.

Another may be residing somewhere in central Europe. They move around a lot, live in shared houses and hostels, and have become people others like being around.

Some is probably living that life as a lawyer in London. They own a flat in the central district, a two bedroom, as one is used as an office. It's a penthouse with tall glass windows. They're thinking of buying a house outside the city, so escape to whenever not in the office. Maybe they made an associate? Or are thinking of becoming a partner in the future. They have a dog or two. Perhaps a partner who is also a lax workaholic but dedicates time for traveling. Money is never an issue. Life is just moving forward. There are no demons around.
