What is the process you take when u study and revise? Also how do you make such pretty notes? Any tips?

STUDYING AND REVISION

1. review class notes & the day's content

2. make my own notes by referring to textbook, ppt slides and whatever notes i've made in class

3. review own notes

(4. mindmaps if the subject is better studied that way e.g. geography)

5. make flashcards

6. practice papers + read model answers to get a gist of how to answer the qn in the best possible manner

7. look through 'application qns' (those that require to integrate and apply content from one or more chapters) and 'mentally attempt' them before checking the answers.

- note: i always look @ these because they're unpredictable and carry a lot of marks. also i cannot afford to physically attempt every question so i just think through before glancing at the answers.

8. consult teachers to clarify any doubts

PRETTY NOTES

1. look over content

-identify chapter, header, sub-headings and sub-sub headings

-for me since i use 'paper cutouts' for my subheadings and subsubheadings i make those first according to what's laid out in the textbook.

-using pencil, sketch diagrams

2. write title in calligraphy

3. in order not to waste time, use pencil to mark out the places where the paper will be pasted, and start taking notes immediately. refer to step 2 above

4. paste paper cutouts

5. if any tables are to be drawn, I draw them and go over the headers with watercolour from the same colour scheme. e.g. Biology - blue

6. using a highlighter (mildliner) i draw 2 bars, one on each side of the title

7. if there are any sub sub sub headings, i usually write them using a brush pen (but not in cursive) and go over them with the mildliner. just one long stroke across

8. go over diagrams with waterproof pen, then colour them in with highlighters/watercolour

MINDMAPS

1. plan out mindmap digitally (just a quick one, can be done on the bus or something)

2. using pencil, sketch out the 'boxes' and diagrams. rearrange as needed

3. go over with a pen

4. header written in brush pen

5. repeat step 8 above

FLASHCARDS

1. pick out the most important bits of info (eg formulas for math/science and examples for humanities)

2. since i cut my own flashcards, i make them small as possible to force myself to only write essential info

3. punch holes and fit the necessary content on the flashcard. using a highlighter, highlight the 'title' of the flashcard

4. underline any key terms that are super important

5. put the flashcards together with one of those ring things that you can clip and unclip. done!!!!!
