sam literally has a male character described as his “demon lover”, that’s just as canon as y yo a ti. gotta say as a queer fan who really relates to sam, putting dean and not sam in the header feels really exclusionary. like if you’re queer and enjoy the show for things other than destiel you’re not welcome to participate

I am so sorry that the header was taken out of context as an anti-sam message and miscontrued as such, and I am definitely sorry to hear that it has caused anyone any distress; that was absolutely not our intention. We were just trying to show some love to some of the lesser represented characters and have some character diversity on the banner. It certainly wasn't meant to be any kind of Choice or Agenda for Sam to not be there

As the event is still a ways away, we do have other promo posts that will be rolling out, and Sam is featured on some of those, as well as other characters who weren't on today's post

I also know that myself and a few other mods have already started working on Sam content for some of our creations for the week, so we are certainly accepting and excited for others to do the same! :)

On a personal note, I also really looked up to Sam a lot growing up (mod lore, I kept "hope is kind of the whole point" written all over my arms in sharpie for several months in high school) so I definitely understand feeling like he doesn't get as much love as he deserves. So it is my hope that people will create and post lots of queer Sam content for us (and the lovely folks over at transnatural pride, the week after us!) to promote and share

Dean seems like the type who’d use gay as an insult towards Sam (in canon he has) but would be so fucking supportive if Sam actually came out. Of course it’d be in his own weird Dean way. He’d be super careful with the words/terms/insults he uses to the point Sam’s always rolling his eyes. Like “you’re such a wuss—but not because your gay. I don’t mean it that way. You know it’s totally fine with me, Sammy, l-” “Dean, I know.” And he’d try and help Sam flirt with guys but Sam just tells him that he doesn’t need help (but he secretly appreciates Dean trying to prove it’s okay with him). Dean also would ask him a bunch of stupid questions, like if the joke about gay people not sitting in chairs right is true, and Sam swears he’s never laughed so hard. Dean also gets a little pride flag sticker to put in/on the Impala because he wants to be the most supportive big brother he can be and it means the world to Sam <3
