Ed and Isabel

They have been inseparable since they were babies because Ed’s parents are missing and Isabel’s mom took them in. They are joined at the hip and they care about her so much.

Ed’s parents are missing due to supernatural circumstances, and Isabel’s mom took them in as a baby, and Ed and Isabel have been joined at the hip ever since. Ed took a dodgeball to the face for her (even though she definitely didn’t need them to). They have a canon best friend name (Super Scroll because Ed has ink powers and Isabel has paper powers). Ed was physically put in Pun Jail by Isabel because they said a terrible pun. They make each other better people, because character growth is IMPORTANT! Ed would die for Isabel.

Robin and Steve

She is both mean to him and supportive of him. She puts him in his place and bolsters him up. Also it was very brave of her to come out to him. They are platonic soulmates and she is exactly the kind of friend he needed.

They survived a customer service job AND the attack of giant monsters AND russian torture together, their friendship is solid as a rock. Also they are always trying to play match maker for the other which is very cute.

OKAY you might not automatically think Anakin and Artoo as best friends, but they’re so damn loyal to each other it’s crazy. Artoo knows Anakin lost himself but misses him and still tries to look after his children. Once when Artoo was missing in action Anakin went on a mission against orders to find him. Anakin would fist fight Obi-Wan for saying anything mean about his buddy Artoo.
