Hug

It's nearly impossible to have a quiet and peaceful day with the crew, like the strawhats. Nami is mostly used to the noise on Going Merry but one day she gets fed up with Zoro and Sanji arguing. Not only are they extremely loud, but they've also already broken way too many things during their fights.

She decides that If they want to act like brats, then she's going to treat them as such. So she makes them apologize and hug each other in silence for an hour. None of them are happy about this punishment, but Nami threatened to raise Zoro's debt, and Sanji couldn't say no to her. It could be worse.

It's awkward enough for them to not incite any fight for a long time and Nami is quite proud of herself. She knows it won't last forever but at least now she knows how to handle them. It inevitably happens again. And again. And again.

Much to her surprise, those fights became more and more frequent. And what's even weirder is that she could see the way both Zoro and Sanji occasionally glanced at her to make sure she was nearby. It's almost as if they wanted someone to make them hug each other. As if they needed an excuse.... these idiots.

Soon, they don't even need Nami's help. When they aren't busy training, cooking or fighting, they cuddle together. Sometimes Luffy or Chopper would join them, but most of the crew knew it was their time.

After two years spent separately, they became extremely clingy. It's no surprise when they start sleeping in the same bed. What is surprising is that despite them behaving like a lovey-dovey couple, those oblivious idiots are STILL unaware of each other's feelings.

Love advice

Zoro has a crush on Sanji, and he needs advice on how to court him. Well, why not ask the love cook himself?

Zoro tells Sanji he’s in love with someone and would like to court them, but he doesn't know how. Sanji is shocked that THE Marimo actually fell for someone, but he’s also a little moved that he came to him for advice. He agrees.

He tells him the basic rules while on the ship. When they reach an island Sanji offers to go on a fake date show Marimo the best places where he could go with his date and how to act in certain situations.

It happens a few more times on different islands. Though They often get sidetracked and end up just having fun together. Instead of going to a fancy restaurant or some kind of romantic boat ride (that honestly makes Zoro’s skin crawl) they end up grocery shopping or drinking together in a bar. Sanji has to keep reminding himself not to let that happen. It makes him feel guilty. He shouldn’t be distracted. At first Sanji was happy for Zoro that he found someone he loves so much that he’s eager to change and learn all those things. He was honestly excited to help him. But as they spent more and more time together he started to feel a little jealous and sad. All that fun they currently have won’t last. Sanji taught Zoro almost everything he knows. It doesn’t help that he uses all those techniques against him. He really doesn’t have to keep proving to him how much he’s learnt. It’s also annoying how each time makes him feel like his heart is about to burst.

Sanji decides it can’t go on like that, and he tells Zoro there’s nothing else to teach him. For some reason, that damn Marimo continues to flirt with him, and it just keeps making him more and more upset. One day, he bursts out at Zoro and tells him that he no longer has to practice on him and that he should flirt with the person he actually likes. "I am! You’re the one I like! I thought that was obvious." Zoro screams back frustrated.

I can just imagine Zoro and Sanji running off excitedly to the town while holding hands after getting money from Nami. Confused Usopp asks them what are they up to that they’re in such a hurry and Sanji screams back: “I’m taking Marimo on a date” without elaborating any further. Everyone on the ship starts wondering if they’re hallucinating.

I was just reminded of a manga called There's No Way I'm The Protagonist (it's quite fun; I recommend it) and then of course I thought to myself what it would be like if it was about Zoro and Sanji.

Some college students think that Nami and Zoro are dating. They're rumored to be childhood friends, and they're clearly very close. Zoro is this cool and mysterious man with scars who rarely talks to anyone, and Nami is a sweet woman and a top of her class student. Plus, they're both extremely attractive. It's almost like they came out of a romance novel. And Sanji loves romance novels. He loves watching people in love, and he often makes up various scenarios in his head with lots of tender moments.

One day, Sanji is forced to move out of his flat and when he goes to greet the neighbours in his new place, he finds out he lives right next to Zoro. At first, he's excited about it, but then he learns what that marimo is really like. He's a rude, sword-obsessed musclehead. And when he sees a bunch of empty take out boxes, he snaps, because how dare he do that to his body? He should take better care of himself! He decides to share the meals he cooks with Zoro and marimo agrees because it's free and delicious food. Eventually, they end up spending a lot of time with each other, and they rather quickly become friends.

After a few weeks, Sanji finally gets to properly meet Nami... who's also not what she seems. She can be childish and quick to anger, and she's money-obsessed. Despite that, Sanji still finds her charming. Both she and Zoro may have their own flaws, but they're good people. They may bicker a lot, but they suit each other, Sanji thinks to himself as he observes their interactions. So his shipping continues. He really roots for them because he wants his friends to be happy.

Imagine his surprise when, one day, Zoro confesses his feelings for him. And in his shock, he agrees to date him.

#I think it kinda suits Sanji #he's always so oblivious to others' feelings towards him #and he's usually the one doing the courting so being courted makes his brain stop working #when Zoro tells Nami about their relationship she's clearly upset #at first Sanji thinks it's jealousy so he thinks about ways how to end this relationship #but with time it gets harder to do it. He seriously falls for Zoro #it turns out later on that Nami was worried Sanji wouldn't take this relationship seriously and end up hurting Zoro #she's actually a lesbian and in love with Vivi #she never corrected anyone when someone assumed she was with Zoro because she wanted to be left alone

Here’s another idea that’s lately stuck in my head.

Zoro ends up in a coma because of a devil fruit user that forces their victims to stay asleep by showing them the most beautiful dreams. The only way to get free of this is for the victim to want to wake up. The thing is, it’s not easy. They want to prolong this dream as much as possible. Because of that, some of them stay asleep for years.

The straw hats decide to help Zoro wake up by finding a way to get inside his mind.

When they finally figure out how to do it, Sanji volunteers to help. 

He thought he knew what to expect. That damn Marimo wanted to be the best swordsman. Obviously, Luffy is the pirate king and all the straw hats reached their goals. Kuina is also alive. It all makes sense. He is surprised however when he finds out that in this dream Zoro and Sanji are married, old, and they live together on All Blue.
