All I have is verses to offer to you,
Strings of letters that I sew together,
Making tapestries on paper with ink,
Weaving threads and motifs
of grief on my spine and drape it around my neck,
My fingers brush past the brocade of toxicity
And my rings entangle with tussles of betrayal,
The tapestry hanging on my back
suffocates me with guilt and my face turns blue
I drag myself with the weight of my sickness
That I weave together as an embellishment to my sins,
Vices of all - the lust for more. - Disha Nair

" Maybe I'll carry the guilt to my grave,
Of all the songs I skip
And places I try to leave,
Don't you do the same?
Refusing the possibility of forever,
Hibiscus' crimson in my garden
ChapSticks that taste of raspberry,
And music that ring in my ears,
Don't they haunt you
(Just the same?)
Your toxicity runs wild in my veins
Driving myself at the speed of rage
For I scratch my skin,
The stars burn on my chest,
Trying to rub you off of me,
I drew blood in the pattern of your lucky stars,
Not anymore. "  – Disha Nair

"For when death wraps its wings around my meek atlas,
I'll tell the deities the metaphors of life
and anecdotes of havoc,
About the honey lit view falling from your eyes
and of all the ways I let the hymns of life sing me to sleep.
Let my heavy old soul dance to the rhythm of your heartbeat,
And may the tides of your breathing linger on my ears
to echo and recite the curses of desire.
So hold my heart steady for it shall fall apart
without the touch of your fingers and
sorrows half drunk on my blood,
walking down alleys intoxicated on the idea of platonic lovers.
And in faint silhouettes of the stories you mumble
with your face pressed against my skin
I will write the chronicles of winters and your lips." - Disha Nair

Beautiful 😍
“There’s a corner of my heart that is yours. And I don’t mean for now, or until I’ve found somebody else, I mean forever. I mean to say that whether I fall in love a thousand times over or once or never again, there’ll always be a small quiet place in my heart that belongs only to you.”
— Beau Taplin

My eyes beg for sleep but I draw my dawns with
caffeine and doses of you,
wondering how you quote them words with the nectar of your
voice and the way we measure our days by the seasons
befalling just like autumn and dew.
My poetry breaths your fragrance and drools
those overlooked words that we try push our ears into
To hear them echo inside of us,
how your voice linger on my skin and bones
with a humble hope that it stays and make my blood
a rhythm of your lips,
Sometimes my words lose my faith and
I like how you taste like sweet spices and
the mole on your shoulder tells me about how much
I discover about you everyday. - Disha Nair

The way my body clings to yours and
My fingers trace our names on your back,
Hands trying to fit like the last pieces of puzzle,
All in the hope that you are real, and to touch is to know,
That all the heaviness in my chest and
Words in my ink
Bleed the sorrows of those who couldn't,
For I bathe in the hues of your eyes and
bear your touch like gold on my skin.
And let me tell you,
The rain whispered a few secrets that spill
from the land of deities
about how mortality defies their existence,
the doomsday be our word for freedom,
And that you and I shall meet in the world beyond,
For if we don't
May the heavens never stop pouring. - Disha Nair

Enough times through your lip
Is it resting on your tongue
With the words you have never sung." - Disha Nair
