50 year old Lizard & 2 year old house weasel. Happy 50th birthday to me & Happy Lizardman Day to one and all. It was 16 years ago when I decided that I would declare my birthday to be a holiday known as 'Lizardman Day' - celebrated everywhere, of course. I even suggested 'traditional' games & celebrations for people who wanted to participate more actively. It was, and is, a silly idea that seemed like a fun way to get people to join in my birthday celebrations - if I can offer you nothing else, let me offer you an excuse to have a good time. This year Lizardman Day marks my 50th birthday. I've spent over half my life as a professional freak. If you've ever given me the chance to make you laugh or smile - I hope I did & I hope to get the chance again someday. I have tried to carve out a life where I am able to enjoy myself while giving others something to enjoy. I will never cease to appreciate that anyone other than myself finds my antics amusing and that I am among the very lucky few that can survive solely as an artist. Thank you for your support. And remember that if the guy who got his tongue cut in half and sticks stuff up his nose made it; your crazy scheme might not be that far fetched either... Happy Mother's Day! This is my Mom (& Dad) visiting me on tour in 2005. When Meghan & I first met we shared an appreciation for MSTK. In the early 00's we regularly went to the original Drafthouse on Colorado and became fans of Mister Sinus which has since become @master_pancake_theater . Earlier tonight we got to see their second live show this week since going online two years ago due to the pandemic. It was fantastic. Today marks 7 weeks since Ranger joined our business. He and Quokka have become nearly inseparable & he has learned to play and socialize with the others. On the occassion of my parent's 51st wedding anniversary enjoy this photo of them from 2007 in some classic Lizardman merch.
