Friendly reminder this blog supports leopard seal positivity!
Do not hate a seal because of the species they are born into. No one can control that.
They may look scary, as an ocean dragon should, but that doesn't mean they are bad.
Leopard seals have shown kindness and empathy even to creatures outside their own species. They deserve respect and to be admired at a distance- not all animals are "only lovable if we can pet them". It's wrong to only appreciate another creature only for what it can do for us humans.
Yes, they are carnivores. But so are many animal species including lion, tigers, wolves, and other creatures who are adored. Being carnivorous is not inherently evil, and in many cases is very important in maintaining ecological balance. Seals are a keystone species! On the flip side of the coin, many of us aren't vegitarian, but that doesn't mean we're bad people!
So please take a moment to show your love for leopard seals. They are good beans!

Honestly, I barely handled the first movies “break-up” scene I was so sad and it only lasted like 5 minutes on screen IDK how I’m going to handle another one (that might last longer) like I do not do “Angst With a Happy Ending” or “Hurt/Comfort” tropes I can not handle it I JUST SO SAD I don’t have emotional object permanence. as soon as 1 (one) bad feeling/scene happens im just like “Oh no? They break up? They break up forever? Oh! Oh sadness for me. Sadness for me for one thousand years”

I’m an eclectic worshipper, so that in itself might influence my perspective.
Something I find really helps when working with kemetisicm (or any other form of deity or religion that might be “controversial”) is to work and worship the gods as personifications/forms of the ideals and powers they represent that apply to everyone, not as divine rulers that also happen to have phenomenal cosmic power that only speak to one chosen person. Similar to the concept of Greek epithets.
Using my own personal experience as an example (so take what I say with a grain of skeptism), I worship Lord Sobek as a deity of Strength and Fertility. He has helped me with independence, self confidence and the ability to stand up for what I believe in. This includes working with me to approach authoritarian figures in my life with the strength to stand up for myself.
To use a hermetic example, when interacting with Aphrodite, I tend to lean towards her Areia epithets. Aphrodite Areria is the Spartan and Kythira interpretation of Aphrodite, a war goddess. She who fights for love and the ones she love. Which directly countered the Athenian standards of “womanly roles”, and (I think anyways) usurped the authoritarian stance of fighting for your king. Because what's more important? Fighting for a ruler or for love.
I think the best option/perspective for a leftist interpretation is going past the “mouthpiece” of the gods and instead looking inside yourself and asking “What does this god represent to me” and moving forward in your worship with that in mind.
Anybody know any resources on leftist or anarchist Kemetic paganism?
Yes, yes, I know that religion and state were inseparable in ancient Kemet, but I am not an Egyptian peasant living in 3,000 B.C.E., so I don’t have to believe in a godking if I don’t want to.
There’s a lot of concepts in Kemetic belief I absolutely love (ma’at? excellent. the fluidity yet vibrancy of the gods? fantastic. the motif of the sacred family unit? glorious.) but I cannot get past the concept of divinely ordained authority. It’s probably the cult survivor in me, but the idea of having one person who is the only spokesperson for the gods is literally nauseating to me.
So I’m curious. Do any of my followers have experience with a leftist or anarchist (or even just, like, democratic) interpretation of Kemetic paganism? Or just adjusting Kemeticism for a modern sociopolitical context?

Have you heard the good word about the Pembrokeshire walrus yet?
This walrus is fucken lost.
But Wales has lost its collective shit about it. They’re generally keeping its location secret to keep people away, but we get updates every day if it’s still here, if it’s happy, if it’s healthy. We think it was in Ireland about two weeks ago, which is interesting, because it is not actually native to Ireland either. Why is it here? No one knows.
It seems to like Pembrokeshire beaches.

i’m going to fucking explode
the spacex all-private inspiration4 mission (which is being run as a reality tv show) is using apple watches for its biometrics. they’re flying in a space capsule with all the equipment and controls stripped out to make it look smooth and pretty, in spacesuits designed by a marvel costume designer instead of engineers, wearing fucking apple watches for biometrics
the ship’s built like a fucking tesla and it uses a fucking touchscreen for controls
