A myserious plague infects the cats of Pineclan, forcing their already aggressive leader to act against the other two clans. As Thistleclan and Roseclan manage against Cavernstar’s dangerous pride, gored cat corpses along the river show up, and disappearing clanmates bring more worry– the ones stringing together this riddle must work swiftly before everything they know burns.

As I have no time to dedicate to a full length story after more than a year of this story existing on a detailed outline, I have decided it would be best to present it as is. The outline is about 10 pages long and goes over the entire story from start to end.

You will find links to the two chapters i did write, but aside I hope you can enjoy my story in the form its in! I had lots of fun coming up with the ideas, it was good practice for me to write a conclusive story and i plan to continue to draw characters, maybe make videos, etc perhaps comic snippets. feel free to send asks to this blog about any questions about character/story.

was the moon's talon outline deleted? i loved the story and the outline was expertly written. any chance you would be able to make that available again?

oh dang, you're right- i moved pretty much everything from my google drive to my own PC but i was pretty sure i kept the docs that i knew i linked in important places. but it looks like i forgot that one!

i was eventually planning to put all this on my website and not google drive, but for now- heres the Outline

and heres just an entire folder of all the documents i had anyways (allegiances, origins etc)

i know i still see that outline post get notes, and it makes me happy people enjoy the outline. i still am quite proud that i managed to outline the whole story lol.

oh thank you so much! i am so glad you like the characters and even how they come across in the outline :') i do hope to do some more with them whenever i have time. theyre kinda just my own little developed cast of cats i have to pick up whenever i get the inspiration.

hi! i havent posted here in a bit so little update since harriertails did the cover commission!!

the story will NOT be a full fanfic/chapter format. i will be posting it SOON as an outline i wrote last year. its quite long so i hope it is satisfying- i will not be dropping the blog after that though. i hope to draw more content or make videos related to these characters and story once the outline drops.

so for any new followers arriving, hello! and i hope youll enjoy what you see once i get the outline out. very excited to share it regardless of it not being a full length story.

Don’t get too comfortable with the man who has no history

Timberscorch is a well muscled, tawny and brown ticked tom with amber eyes. He is a hunter, and well known for his speed and skill. As the clans fall into famine with tainted prey and toxic water, he manages to bring prosperity to his clan while others continue to suffer. Pineclan stays strong due to his work, and many question what methods he uses in order to provide his clanmates with clean food.

He is well liked, but secretive. Sometimes his bluntness and humor can be taken the wrong way. Timberscorch is seen as loyal to his clan, but can become consumed in his role as a hunter, often over working himself. Not many get close to him, as he seems hard to reach emotionally.

Meadowpaw (future: Meadowsight) is an incredibly paranoid Thistleclan medicine cat, who’s life seems to be slathered in mysteries Starclan won’t stop burdening him with. He has always received a lot from the stars, but its always been vague, weird omens and riddles and never in direct communication. Ruesky doesn’t understand why Meadowpaw’s connection has ended up like this but does what she can to help him through.

Because of this, Meadowpaw often grows obsessive or paranoid about what he hears or thinks he interprets correctly. He is distant from the other medicine cats and doesn’t tend to enjoy socializing with clanmates. Humor also does not make any sense to him- often missing jokes and sarcasm.

Larkrush is a gorgeous blue tabby who is known to be careful and kind. She is a Roseclan warrior, who takes pride in her clan. Because of her demeanor, many don’t suspect the skilled fighting techniques when out in the field. She becomes very active in her clan when things get tough, going the duties of cats who passed and have no one to fill roles for. She is adept at many things, but her thick fur and sharp claws will always make her a great warrior.

While a good fighter, and very nice, she is a bit too trusting of others and has a hard time accepting harsh truths. The sickness that swept the clan was hard on her, as she lost both her parents and one sibling due to it. She faces a lot of denial, and when befriending a kind tom from Pineclan, she finds herself even deeper in the hole of false optimism more than ever.

Carvernstar is a tall, aggressive leader, with a thick, orange tuxedo pelt and red eyes. He is the leader of Pineclan. He can be cocky with his choices, and many clan members dislike his attitude, as it has gotten them into more trouble than good. But some take pride in the bold and confident leader, one who is willing to jump into battle when given the chance. His warrior name was Cavernbreeze. He has lost one life.

Dolores is a tall, spiky furred Savannah cat with striking green eyes. They wear a thick crimson collar around their neck. They are intimidating, humorous, and snide. Dolores’ gang encounters the forest cats at first when they’re caught hunting in Roseclan’s territory. While these various strays pose a good fight against the weaker clan, they fall back into the twoleg place when Pineclan bands together in order to drive them off.

Dolores no doubt has some important knowledge of twolegs, that some may find valuable. They stay out of sight after being driven back by the clans, but when tensions start to grow, it’s only a matter of time before they’re sought out of desperation.

Dustypaw is a large hunter apprentice with a light yellow tabby pelt and orange eyes. She is being mentored by Tulip.

What’s coming in the near future....

hello hello, i think i mentioned putting this blog/story to the side for the moment as i worked on something else. but i want to pop back in with a minor update as i will be sharing things soon

i have had many back and fourths, and i will avoid rambling too much, but basically my inspiration has moved on in ways and i set way too much pressure on myself to finish this the way i set out to from the start, that i just don’t want to do it this way anymore, or else itll never get done.

the initial plan was to write it all as a novel-like story (the plan shows about 20-26 chapters in the end) and then after being able to show the story that way i could then draw, animate, etc because yall would know the story. but, that plan just set me up for stress. i do want to show this story. i want to draw my ocs and make videos of them, but i want to do that more than writing this all out properly, the writing has become a hurdle now.

so soon, i will be releasing the full 10 page outline i wrote for this story instead! and the chapters i managed to finish (not many lol). i will also write more detailed profiles for important main characters on their toyhouse pages too, so they can be read alongside the outline release for some extra context! in general i do hope to do a little writing for other moments, but the main goal of releasing the story just as it is, is so i can move on. from there you can expect me to casually engage with this blog in the way i really wanted to, with art/animations/etc. A lot of my focus has been on my RP blog, which takes maaaany elements from this story and the RP story that at one point were the same thing. i suggest taking a look at it, if you’re curious about RP things instead.

Hello, don't really want to announce that the story is "on hold" but i have been rather caught up in settling important stuff with my warrior cats RP, @astronomers-rp , which is also based far in the future from this story...

so I haven't gotten back on my writing schedule enough to share any chapters yet. RP definitely takes priority as this story was just a very chill thing to work on, expecting to not have given myself other projects to work on.
