Ro.Go.Pa.G.
l'episodio La ricotta si concentra sul problema della visione del sacro, costruendo una parodia della Passione; il pensiero di Pasolini è espresso da Orson Welles, soprattutto nelle risposte alle quattro domande postegli da un giornalista.

Neorealism and posters
Today the film productions are aimed at experienced graphic designers, to create the movie poster able in summarizing the movie in one image, between 40′s and 70′s instead relied on real artists to paint them.
Tumblr media
For example, for the film Bicycle Thieves the creation of posters and lobby cards was entrusted to the painter Ercole Brini, who painted the sketches in watercolor and gouache, in a style that could be called “neo-realist” very suitable to the spirit of the film.
We offer a gallery of images of the most famous neo-realist movie posters at the link below. http://www.pinterest.com/triworldcinema/il-neorealismo-locandine/

The child actor icon of the Neorealism. Interview with Enzo Staiola.
Enzo Staiola, chosen when he was just 8 years old by Vittorio De Sica to play the son of the protagonist of Bicycle thieves, is still one of the most famous icons in the history of Neorealism. When asked about his memories regarding the making of De Sica's film, Staiola switches from a series of interesting anecdotes to his changeless thankfulness for that period of Italian cinema who gave him great fame. When we asked him about the weight to be still identified, after so many years, with that role of a child, he replied with great modesty that without that chance he couldn’t be able to study at the Experimental Center of Cinematography and to do the actor as a job of a lifetime. Finally, regarding the health of Neorealism today Enzo Staiola is sure: it’s still alive, more than ever!
A great example of simplicity and humanity...

Gianni Bozzacchi, remembering Master Carlo Lizzani
Tumblr media
"We are all deeply saddened, but we hold by, of this extreme action of the master and friend Carlo Lizzani. Through and through unexpected, even because just a few days ago he expressed me the desire to resume movie directing, especially after the success of the docufilm he was the star of, We weren’t just bicycle thieves, in which he told the rising and the setting of Neorealism, of which he was the last exponent. A clear-headed man, with an extraordinary memory and culture. He has made the same choice of his friend Mario Monicelli of whom he said: “I understand what he did, because I knew him”.  For The Triworld it’s an irreparable loss, because the collaboration would have continued with a second work of greater range. The honor of having worked and produced with him a movie that will remain and demonstrate his, and of all italian artists, brilliance and creativity will last in time. We all will be greateful to Carlo Lizzzani forever.”
Gianni Bozzacchi

The music of Neorealism. Interview with Pino Donaggio. Pino Donaggio, one of the most popular italian composers of soundtracks in the world, told us about his contribution to the documentary, produced by Triworld Cinema, Neorealism. We weren't just... Bicycle thieves. Donaggio, at the time of Neorealism just a child, tells us that it was a conversation with Carlo Lizzani to give him the inspiration to compose the soundtrack of the documentary, based mostly on the boogie woogie: the music brought by the Americans during the Liberation, that become the true background of Neorealism. Pino Donaggio tells us the challenges and the rewards linked to this work: the trickiest part of his contribution from the musical point of view was certainly the attempt to not overlay the music of the old movies; the most exciting one was to be able to put over the music at once on such great directors as the Taviani brothers, Bernardo Bertolucci, Ermanno Olmi and Martin Scorsese.
Pino Donaggio ended the interview wishing for young generations to find, even in a time of crisis like this, the strenght to go on and to fight for their own ideas and their own creativity.
 A Great Maestro!

Rhea Bozzacchi, a young director and screenwriter, first in his class at Columbia University (CA), with a feature film that will soon be produced by Triworld Cinema, told us about his relationship with the legacy of Neorealism.
The interview with Rhea has ranged from the affinity between Neorealism and American Independent Cinema, from the use of non-professional actors to the new role of women in the neorealist films, until the state of today's cinema.
Youth is so many things, even a particular visual sharpness that grabs a huge number of details and nuances. This is what Rhea wanted to share with us.

Alessandro Rais, Cinema Historian and Founder of the Sicily Film Commission, answered our questions about Neorealism with great generosity and competence. In his articulate reflection Rais pushes us to overcome the stereotypes associated with this film movement in order to regain his true strength:  the urgency to tell the reality without any fiction and the strength to awake consciences.
