Been awhile since I posted something anywhere.. Sorry ‘bout that.. First pic is the current sketch, second pic is the sketch before I rubbed out my little measurement lines, all photos of myself after that are my references. (Refs for face shape, how hair falls, proportions and refs for seeing which facial expression works best with the chosen proportions) Not ditching cartoony, stylised drawings, just wanted to try drawing some realistic or semi realistic things I’ve always struggled drawing people realistically.. they always turn out looking weird and distorted for some reason.. I think this went well tho! Maybe..? Now to think of a medium to finish it in.. a part of me feels like adding colour would ruin it.. but colour is needed to bring it out n make it stand strong.. I just don’t know which medium should be used.. Ink? Watercolours? Pencils?(nope?) acrylic? (Definitely not), biro? Colouring pencils?(ehhhh, if mixed with something else?) I don’t know.. it's inappropriate to use screenshots as proof for anything because they are incredibly easy to fake

Still, if the screen shot is from a place someone can easily go visit, like a discord sever that pretty much anyone can visit/open to users of the site or a website that someone can easily visit, then someone who is doubtful can always go visit and view the original source

So just a bigger version of my profile picture so its easier to see the details! Mainly used kind of  soft shading with a bit of hard shading over it. Nothing special but yeah.

And the header! It’s not really anything too special either, heck, I didn't really know how to draw the leaves or grassy area below so I just went with a random pen mess..

Introduction?

Heya.. so I don't really know what to do next? I suppose first things first, right? might as well introduce myself considering I'm now here.

Well, I’m someone who’s usually willing to talk to people and work things out, I try not to be insensitive towards others. (though, if I ever appear insensitive, please, tell me what I've done wrong and I’ll my best to try and fix it) 

I’m just some random person who likes to draw really. Am I any good at it? I don't know. What I do know is that there’s hundreds and thousands of other self-proclaimed artists who are hundreds times better than I could ever hope to be.

I’m always looking for constructive criticism on my artwork! Things like pointing out that my anatomy is incorrect (if it is incorrect or pointing out other things that’re incorrect along the same sentiment) and suggesting how I could improve goes a long way, I appreciate it, thank you.

I also quite like a few pet-oriented pet games, the two I specifically frequent being Aywas and ChickenSmoothie (Aywas being my favourite of the two)

Noticing the usernames you might be wondering why I’ve titled myself as TheOnlyLittleBlackCat on tumblr but as TheLittleBlackCat in other places? Well, TheLittleBlackCat was apparently already taken on Tumblr so eh, next best name. 

You might also be wondering if I have any other social medias? Sure. I use Instagram.

So, hey, why the username TheOnlyLittleBlackCat or TheLittleBlackCat on other places? I have my reasons, one of which being that its not usually taken, the other reason is one I’d rather not say.

Why I’ve decided to make a Tumblr account? Well, I’m just trying it out and seeing how it works. I still don't know how to do much here though.. though hey, no one starts off knowing everything.

I’ll prolly post my profile picture and header after this, just so they can be seen clearly as they’re kind of hard to currently see properly as of right now.
