you cant ever let yourself forget what it felt like to be 15. how adults treated you. being treated without a shred of respect because people think youre too young to have thoughts and feelings of your own. the lack of autonomy. you cant ever forget that because if you do you might become the kind of adult who treats kids like theyre not people

I've been wondering this. With only two episodes left, there's got to be some plot points that will be continued ... somewhere else 👀
Remember how it took us years to find out that Echo had actually survived the Citadel?
What if CX-2's identity isn't revealed in The Bad Batch, but in another animated show, perhaps one focused on a certain clone rebellion that a certain clone squad could be a part of?

I just gotta say, Rampart getting nervous and yelling at Hunter to abort the mission, and then there's just a silent pause, no background music or noise, before Hunter says, "Negative" ... went hard as hell.

Can I watch a great film knowing the actresses in it were terrorized and mistreated the entire time? Can I watch a football game knowing that the players are getting brain injuries right before my eyes? Can I listen to my favorite albums anymore knowing that the singers were all beating their wives in between studio sessions? Can I eat at the new fancy taco place knowing when the building that used to be there got bulldozed eight families got kicked out of their homes so they could be replaced with condos and a chain restaurant? Can I wear the affordable clothes I bought downtown that were probably assembled in a sweatshop with child labor? Can I eat quinoa? Can I eat this burger? Can I drink this bottled water? Can I buy a car and drive to work because I’m sick of taking an hour each way on the subway? Whose bones do I stand on? Whose bones am I standing on right now?

So by now we all know Omega’s purpose.
Tumblr media
Nala Se and the other Kaminoans created Omega so they could clone force sensitives. That’s her “unique ability”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don’t think Omega herself is actually force sensitive (unless she’s like Sabine and could maybe wield the force after years of training). Ultimately she was only created to be used as a tool for further cloning experiments. Her worst fears are coming true.

PSA CAN’T BELIEVE I’M POSTING THIS. STOP AI.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first image is a prompt I posted on my prompt blog LAST YEAR.
The second image is from an application called c.ai. On MY post, a viewer commented, telling people that there’s a character with this very dialogue.
Mind you, NO ONE ASKED ME FOR PERMISSION. Though it wasn’t stolen word for word, this is very obviously taken from my prompt which I took the time to write and publish. This is MY writing, and though I share it publicly, that does not give anyone the right to make money off of it. I did NOT CONSENT TO MY PROMPT BEING USED IN AI.
Tumblr media
I honestly am not even sure what action to take but please please please bring attention to this and reblog. We need to end AI and the act of stealing artists’ work. I can’t believe this.

Sometimes I think people tend to over-dramatize the personalities, behaviors, or actions of the Bad Batch characters. Like with the recent episode, some people thought Hunter was going to lose it and be furious with Crosshair for letting Omega go. Which is somewhat fair, since we know how much Omega means to Hunter. But that just goes against everything about the way Hunter has treated Crosshair this season. Hunter and Crosshair have fallen back into a routine with each other, and Hunter has been very understanding of what Crosshair went through with the Empire, to the point that he's defensive when Howzer and the other regs are suspicious of Crosshair.
I also think people are overlooking the fact that Hunter is actually the one who's been giving Omega more agency and coming to terms with the realization that she's growing up and becoming more capable. I'd argue he's actually been better about this than Wrecker and Crosshair.
E.g.:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, all 3 of them are still watching out for her, but while Wrecker is complaining that they should be with Omega and Crosshair has his gun trained on Ventress, Hunter instead calmly tells them that they gave Omega their word they wouldn't intervene.
Yes, Hunter is still Omega's father figure; I don't think that's changed, per se. But he's also not being as overbearing, overprotective, or irrational as some people have made him out to be.
He's been very calm, all things considered, about Crosshair and Omega's return, the looming threat of the Empire, and Omega being taken. We really only saw him lose his cool during his argument with Crosshair in episode 5, and that was more of a sibling brawl/spat. It was necessary for both of them to vent and get everything out of the way to move fon. Other than that, Hunter has been calm, logical, and level-headed. I'd argue that with Crosshair back, Hunter has gained some of the confidence and leaderly mentality that he used to have during the Clone Wars.
((I've got similar thoughts on the theory that Omega is going to leave the Bad Batch behind permanently, but I'll save that for another post)).
Even though we didn't see Hunter's reaction at the moment of him finding out about Omega, we do see the aftermath, and let me tell you, Hunter is calm.
Hunter is not lashing out at Crosshair, he is not blaming him either in words or actions, he is not shutting him out, he's not accusing Crosshair of having had any ulterior motives. Even when Rampart and the possibility of finding Tantiss being hidden comes up, Hunter adopts an attitude of wanting to understand. Even when Hunter would have every right to be furious at his brother and deem losing Omega as the last straw, question why in the stars would Crosshair allow such a thing to happen, why has he been hiding things until now, Hunter chooses to understand.
And to have Crosshair tell him that he did not want to go back to Tantiss, while the hand tremor is returning at the very idea, is enough for Hunter. Hunter didn't even need to hear that explicitly, he was already as calm and collected as humanly possible before, which in a situation like the one he's in, takes abnormal amounts of strength.
Hunter's got a heart of gold and a strength to be applauded.

Final results!
Emerie wins out as the most likely to kill Hemlock, followed by Crosshair or multiple characters teaming up together.
I'm a little surprised at Hunter and Omega's percentages; frankly, I'd expect them to be switched, but I also think Hunter seemed like a more likely option in season 2, but not quite as likely now in season 3.
Shout-out to some of the fun 'other' answers I saw, including Tarkin, Palpatine, Vader, and even Batcher (if Batcher is the one to kill Hemlock, I'll scream).

If they make a Clone Rebellion show, I think the "filoni OC made as a stand-in for young viewers" character should be one of the surviving clones cadets. Mox, Deke, and Stak, or some other young clone like them.
Not someone special like Omega, or a "defective" clone who was treated like an outsider. Definitely not a jedi. It should be someone invested in the clone rebellion because those are their people.
Someone who relates to and feels loyalty towards the rank and file clone troopers because they were going to be one. Someone who was made with a chip, like everyone else, and who would have suffered the same fate if O66 came later.
The clones under the chips' control are this cadet's older brothers, and he wants them to be free from it, from the kaminoans and the empire, just like he is now.
