SPREADSHEET OF PALESTINIAN ESCAPE FUNDS‼️TIME SENSITIVE
Operation Olive Branch is a continuously updating spreadsheet of Palestinian escape funds where progress towards their goals is being tracked. As of right now, there are over 100 funds listed there.
Any amount of money can make a difference. With their recent decision to bomb Rafah, the only remaining “safe” territory in Gaza, Israel has forced Palestinians into a corner by giving them nowhere else to go. The international community has given Israel the ability to act with impunity - it is long past the point in time to rely on those in power to hold Israel to any standard of compassion.
Today, I want you to look at this document, choose a fund, contribute to it, and share it. The people in Rafah are living on borrowed time. Free Palestine.
DAME Frames | (By Me!) Okay, when people ask me why I decided to put a bear in my film or why I had the character in the story etc etc, I literally just thought it would be cool... Rookie mistake. Hours and hours spent studying and animating a four legged animal!?!? What was I thinking!!! I mean, it looks cool but I made the mistake of making things harder for me purely for aesthetics and not story/plot. Maybe I’ll expand on the Dame universe and then the bear will make sense.
A little process post on my Diesel Test. Of course (because of student brain) I went through the process of thumbnailing all my key poses and arcs for the action. Then I completed a blocking test with my charts, and a rough test. The final with clean line was what I posted on Tuesday! So a lot goes into a simple 2 seconds of animation.
This is by far one of my favourite pieces I did for Dame. I just love the colour and lighting! I think this really executed my range when it comes to creating atmosphere at different times of day, since Dame takes place in three parts (dusk, midday, and dawn).
Diesel Animation Practice by ME (Delaina Osborne) | To try and ease myself back into trying my own stuff after graduating, I wanted to make a small test animation. It’s always strongly recommended to do really short 3-5 second animations just to get the fundamentals refreshed and also see where to focus. For example, I REALLY hate the tail (it doesn’t make sense) so I scrapped it halfway through to focus on what was working out. It wasn’t about being good or making something demo reel quality, but just about having fun! And I had fun animating my grumpy doggy Diesel!!
One of the things I really pride myself on from my time at school were my backgrounds. I really put so much time and heart and soul into really learning how to paint digitally. My goal was to emphasize the story through the backgrounds and the way they interacted with the mood of the characters. For this particular scene, a lot of inspiration was taken from the SW TCW Episode: The Wrong Jedi, with the very powerful melodramatic skyline. I’m very proud of this scene!!
